Las Vegas Drinkin age for Tourists? -
21 and stinks for you but next time,
You have to be 21 to drink anywhere in the US. The Vegas bars and clubs do not admit anyone under the age of 21. They are very careful about checking ID s - they look closely, are good at catching fakes, and often have multiple people check an ID. They are not at all lenient either - you must be 21, no exceptions. The casinos and clubs could lose their liquor licenses, which would be devastating to them, if they are caught with underage patrons in the bars and clubs. You also cannot spend time on the casino floor if you are under 21. You can walk through the casino to get to other parts of the hotel, but you have to stay on the marked walkways and cannot stop to even watch the gambling.
it s 21 and no we wont be able to get in and no they wont be leniant sweetheart...I m 32 and I got ID ld every bar i went into---there are plenty of people that are legal age, so why would a bar/bouncer risk their business to let an underage person in??? but the good news is that it is legal to drink openly on the streets in vegas, so as long as you dont act a fool you can get your own drink from your hotel and walk up and down the strip
The legal drinking age in Vegas is 21 and they are very strict. They check I.D s all the time - I think it s something to do with I think it was Planet Hollywood s club that got there drinks licence taken off them sometime this year - so everywhere is tight, even if you look 25 they I.D you..my sister is 32 and she was I.D d nearly everywhere she went and she looks her age lol
me and my friends want to plan a trip to vegas, but we arent 21 yet =/ so theres not much to doo...you can always take your own alcohol :)as for the clubs, i know there are a few 18+ clubs....also, take the time to go watch Phantom at the Venetian. It was AWESOME! 8)
21 is 21 no matter who you are and where you are from. They are very strict and they do check IDs carefully before you are allowed to enter. No drinking and no gambling for you. There is an under 21 club in Henderson, not far from the strip. You can get the info by clicking on the link on the following page.
21 is drinking, gambling and clubbing age for visitors and locals alike drinking or notYes they check ID and they cannot be lienient. The last club that did cost the hotel/casino who leased the property 3/4 million dollars
21. But do like I did and get drunk as hell in the room before you go to the clubs (18 up). Or you can sneak in a flask.
21 like EVERYWHERE in america
21. The only 18+ club I know of is Club Frozen in Henderson.I am 18 too, but Vegas is so fun.
21, but its easy to get a fake ID. No they are not leniant though.
21 ... but you can die for your country at 18
You have to be 21.
Where is the cheapest parking garage near Palace Hotel in Union Square, San Francisco? They will charge $52!? -
Parking at any downtown hotel is expensive which is why I usually recommend that visitors not bring a car if possible. Keep in mind that the the hotel will usually offer in out privileges so depending on how long you park at any destination you may end up paying at least as much as you would pay at your hotel. There are a couple of public parking garages in the south of market area that will run you between $25-35 for 24 hours The two that are closest to the Palace hotel are on third between Howard and Folsom across from Moscone Center or at 5th and Mission. You may also be able to find over night parking for $15 at some of the lots south of market.
It is a few blocks to walk but parking at the 5th MIssion garage is about $15 a day.
What do people outsid eof Minnesota think of people from Minnesota? -
Well im from mn but have travled, and they refer to us as minnesota nice they think we talk with a funny accent like in the movie fargo (WICH IS NOT EVEN IN MINNESOTA FARGO IS IN NORTH DAKOTA!!! (: please remember that) and no we don t talk with the eh you betcha, they do think we have some of the funniest accents saying pop insted of soda and hotdish, wich i thought all those were normal, they usually think of us as friendly, how you will just wave or say hi to someone in the groshery line or on a walk, but in other states they would think your weird for waving or smiling, i always thought it was just polite! but thats what i know of people thinking of minnesotans, o and they think its as cold as hell up here (: -20 really isn t that bad ;) neither is ice fishing!
Most people think that Minnesota is VERY cold in the Winter, just like most people think California is warm all the time (not true).. Many consider it a great vacation place in the Summer with it s 10,000 lakes. Been there MANY times. One of my routes was Los Angeles to Rochester delivering IBM machines. My first wife was a Minnesota farm girl. (should have kept her). I didn t mind the Lefsa , but the Lutefisk tasted like boiler sponge rubber to me. You guys can keep that.stuff.
I like MN people. They are something like Chicagoians and that s awesome. They are hardy, friendly people.
I used to travel frequently and though I visited Minnesota many, many times, I NEVER had a good meal there.
We think you speak funny.
How to get from Washington Square Park (NYU) on the Subway to JFK? -
Thats a longgg train ride. Try taking the shuttle, its only $17 http://www.goairlinkshuttle.com/Or the Bus..http://www.nyairportservice.com/
Jessye, there are several ways to get from West 4th Street to JFK. However, I would only recommend two.Option 1: West 4th Street to JFK via Jamaica StationStep 1: take the Queens-bound (eastbound) E train from West 4th Street to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Avenue/JFK, which is where the Jamaica LIRR train station and the Airtrain station is located.Step 2:at Sutphin Blvd-Archer Avenue/JFK, exit the subway and follow the directional signs to JFK Airtrain. Take the Airtrain from Jamaica Station to all the terminal. The fare on the subway is $2.25 and the one the Airtrain is $5. You can purchase a $7.25 pay-per ride (regular) MetroCard at West 4th Street and used it on the subway and Airtrain.Option 2 West 4th Street to JFK via Penn StationStep 1: take the uptown (northbound) A , C or E trains (Blue Line) from West 4th Street to Penn Station.Step 2: at Penn Station, exit the subway and follow the directional sign to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). Take any eastbound LIRR train (except the Port Washington Branch) from Penn Station to Jamaica Station.Step 3: once at Jamaica Station, transfer upstairs to the JFK Airtrain, which will take you from the train station to the terminals at the airport.Again, the fare on the subway is $2.25 and the one the Airtrain is $5. You can purchase a $7.25 pay-per ride (regular) MetroCard at West 4th Street and used it on the subway and Airtrain.A one way off peak ticket from Penn Station to Jamaica Station will cost you $5.75.Good luck and have a nice tripNative New Yorker
hopstop.com will save your life with things like this. you ll take the A downtown to Howard Beach/JFK, then the JFK Train to the airport. Should take about an hour and a half.
When is the Rockefeller center Christmas tree lighting for 2009? -
Tomorrow, Dec. 2.
Tomorrow. In my opinion one the most overrated events in NYC. Huge crowd packed into a small place. Only people who get there early and wait for hours can see the performers and the lighting itself take a millisecond. Pushing, shoving. Not for the claustrphobic.
Its tomorrow, December 2. And in case you don t know who s appearing, check out the line below.Good luckNative New Yorker
December 2d. You don t have much time. Early evening.
It is scheduled to take place tonight, December 2, from 7-9pm EST.

Which city would you recommend? -
I agree with all the others on San Diego, but wouldn t you want to pick a college that suits your major?
I would pick San Diego or NYC. NYC doesn t have the great weather of San Diego, but it will be so worth going there. They don t call it the city that never sleeps for nothing! I don t think I could handle gray cloudy weather for five or six months in SeattleDon t know much about Durham Memphis has a lot of crime, Don t know much about Long Beach or PasadenaDallas, would be good for you because it s close to home, but you may want something different.
I d say San Diego, or Seattle. You gotta think about pollution, heat and other factors. Although, I ve heard San Diego is pretty expensive...
i would say san diego too but focus also on how great the school is... not just how much fun it would be... mexico is right there tho in san diego ;) ive had some fun fun times down on rosarito beach lol
I agree with kenareki.
It depends on how far you want to move away. Out of the choices you have, my personal pick would be San Diego.
