Were is the best place in San Francisco to see the parrots? -

My son always wanted to see the parrots in SF and I wanted to know from a local or from someone that has seen them there were are all the parrots at direction would be nice. Thanks!

The parrots follow the fruiting of the trees, but try Upper Fort Mason, near the Golden Gate National Recreation Area headquarters and Telegraph Hill.More information here:http://www.wildparrotsbook.com/parrot_pahttp://california-travel.suite101.com/ar

There are several flocks in the city. The one place I can tell you that will guarantee you being able to see them is the Green area just north of Embarcadero Center 3 at about 6pm any night. They go there because there are people who feed them at that time. But as you wander the city if you hear them squawking look up. They are hard to miss.

Just walk around North Beach and head up to Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill, you ll hear them first =)

the zoo.. Oakland have some , not sure about SF

i don t know but i gave you a star, i have a contact who lives there, i know best place to see seagulls is Alcatraz

Where is the prettiest place lt;5 hours from Atlanta to rent a cabin? -

I want to rent a cabin in december (from the 26 to the 4th of january) somewhere near atlanta (no more than 5 hours away). I d love to find some snow or at least some beautiful hills and trails. Any recommendations?

Helen georgia is exactly where you want to go.

Do not go to Helen...it really is a tourist trap and it only takes 1/2 hour to see all the good stuff.I would recommend going to Northern GA. Ammicalola Falls is beautiful and has tons of trails.Blue Ridge is also a nice place with tons of cabins.Big Canoe is also a really neat place with lots to do and really nice cabins. If you are looking for snow, you will have to keep going North to North Carolina.

Try Franklin, North Carolina. This place is great, I ve stayed here several times- http://www.franklin-chamber.com/wayahcre

Western NC, east Tenn and north GA mountains are full of rentals cabins. You better start looking soon because reservations fill fast for the holidays.

Unicoi. It is near Helen, but not a tourist trap. You will also be near the Appalachian trail.

Try Cloudland Canyon State Park in northwest GA, it is near Lookout Mountain.

Assistant Manager Man asks: Where do you want to be? -

For all of you who are sick of living in CA, which state would you move to if you had the opportunity?I myself, would move to Oregon.

I was born in California, Moved to Oregon, New York... Then Georgia, Virgina, back to NY, West Virgina, Michigan, Arizona and I am back in NY... I love living in Upstate New York other than the 17 of snow we had last winter... Choices choices... I would say Virgina or North Carolina as you can travel easily to major cities and Nicer weather year around.

One of the projects are new construction townhomes that are low rent. they look very nice. what i want to know is what is East Chicago s North Harbor like? the townhomes are build on broadway in the city s North Harbor district. i want to know about this section of the city. like shopping, streets, and the overall feel for this section of the city.please i dont want comments from people who aren t from around here with ignorant claims that NWI is a dumphole or whatever. crime is everywhere people, get over it. im looking for real advice as to how people live in this area.thanxRead more: http://www.city-data.com/forum/northwest

I ve always liked the East Chicago area. I m not too sure where the North harbor is, but I drive through there all the time because I head out to indiana to buy cigs..And hey, even you know it s better than gary. Since you live not too far, i would suggest driving out to the area and checking it out because you never really know what an area is really like until you are there.I m curious to know what the North Harbor is, i m gona check it out...
