Any Free Concerts In New York? -

Does anyone know of any free concerts or a minimum of ten dollars in New York? Anywhere...Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx.. If so can you say the name of the concert and the venue it is in. Thanks a lot. Ten points for best answer!

We have a lot of free concerts in the summer at various outdoor venues like Summerstage in Central Park, BAM R B Festival in Brooklyn, Celebrate Brooklyn, River to River festival in Manhattan and J R Jazz festival, also in Manhattan. This time of year? Not so much.

We had a terrible renting experience with Aamp;W Rentals in Banner Elk, NC. Has anyone else? -

Hot tub was @ 65 degree s when we arrived. Would not heat past 90, had to get service people out (took all day). Stayed 3 days and water smelled in hot tub on last day. We think they did not add chemicals. Got locked out on deck because doors self-lock. Miserable experience !!!

I m sorry to hear about your issues with this company. Its not anyone that I work for or anything, but I would definately ask if they have a corporate office or a manager you can speak with, see what they can do to make things right with you. A lot of companies have policies set in stone on what they should do when they have service issues. Maybe they dont know about them? Give them a chance to make it right and call them...

Which are the high rise buildings in New York that allow sightseeing from the top? -

I have been atop the Empire State Building but would like to know all others.

Well, there is Rockefeller Center. There is an observation deck at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, which is the GE Building and its the headquarter of NBC Television.Good luckNative New Yorker

rockerfella centre is great, when you go up during the day, you can do the touristy photo opportunity by pretending to put your finger on top of the empire state building, great photo.

30 Rock is by far the BEST! There are multiple levels and you can view indoor and outdoors. It s an amazing feeling standing outside on one the tallest buildings in the city overlooking all of Manhattan.

In 1663, Charles II gave land to eight nobles, the Lords Proprietors, who ruled the Province of Carolina as a proprietary colony. The proprietary colony of Carolina was first settled at Charles Town (modern day Charleston) in 1670, mostly by immigrants from the British colony of Barbados in the Caribbean. There was discontent with the Lords Proprietors from the earliest years of the colony. Colonists overthrew the proprietors after the Yamasee War of 1715-1717. In 1719 the colony was officially made a crown colony, although the Lords Proprietors held their rights until 1729. Differences between the northern and southern parts of Carolina were recognized during proprietary rule. Separate governors were established for each section. until 1729 they were both known as the Carolina providence. King Charles I of England then had them divided into two different regions, so they would be able to monitor reasources and taxes better. It s noteworthy to mention that during the civil war period they were quite different. South Carolina being the first state to secede, and North Carolina being the last. North almost did not support the confederacy, and it wasn t until actual troops were in there state that they changed their mind. hope that helps
