SENIOR WEEK ocean city, md HELP!!!? -
VACATION** ??SNOW?, Waynesville, N.C.? -
why would you do that. Snow and winter suck. Snow causes nothing but trouble, and you could live a full, rich life without ever seeing that white sh*t, EVER! Better idea, skip the snow entirely, and enjoy the Florida sunshine and beaches.
Do I have to wait 15 minutes to swipe my card again after I just swipe to take the mta bus? -
Only if it s the same bus route in the same direction.Had that happen to me once. I took the bus home and got off at my stop, then decided I wanted to go get something to eat first at a place farther down the route. Got on the next bus, and it wouldn t take my card. I told the driver I d just gotten off the last bus and he let me board. It s actually 18 minutes, by the way.
Sure, if you take a different bus it s just a free transfer. You just can t jump off one bus and on the next one running the same route, which is so that you can t ride a bit and get off and hand your Metrocard to someone waiting at that stop. Report Abuse
If you re sharing an unlimited ride MetroCard with another person or you re using it on the same bus route, then yes, you will have to be 20 minutes (not 15 minutes). This is the reason why you need to purchase individual cards.Good lucks
If it is a regular metrocard, you can use it up to 4 times in a row without having to wait.If you are using an unlimited metrocard, you have to wait 18 minutes until you can use it again.
from bus to train no u dont have to wait. from bus to bus. you dont have to wait either when u swipe you get a transfer to a next bus.

Driving from Vancouver BC to Denver Colorado? -
Yea, its definitely do-able, but you just have to have a little extra cash on hand in case you need to stop along the way for an extra night at a hotel due to snow. Dont drive the mountains at night, especially if its snowing at all. thats about all you can do- expect the worst but plan on having a great trip because you may not have any delays at all- its really very different. Also- the mountains are plowed quickly- so they may have 3 feet on the sides of the road, but nothing on the road- just watch for black ice at all times.
Well, there is a sever storm rolling through there about now so definitely check the Weather Channel and weather.com for updates. Also check Denver road conditions very frequently:http://www.cotrip.org/roadConditions.htmBe prepared to either cancel the trip before you leave because the weather and/or road conditions are bad or for possibly being stuck somewhere because it closes in on your during your trip. Personally, I would just fly if you have to go in December.
Should be doable. Depends on which way you want to drive. You ll need to cross a few passes regardless which way you go. Avoid Yellowstone if you planned on swinging threw. They close down the roads sometime in December. You might be able to get in through the side. However, you ll need to combat the Tetons. Cascades in Washington and Oragon and the Sierras if you plan on comming through the side VIA California. And of course the Rockies. I travel up north quite often during the winter. I find I-80 closes more often then I-70. If i-70 closes down, you ll have more options to choose from over i-80. There isn t much in Wyoming. That and I-80 is the most boring road in America. -Get good winter tires-Pack a couple of sleeping bags or blankets-tow Rope-Snacks-Shovel-Jumper cablesYou should be fine, but the biggest mistake people make is not preparing yourself properly. You should be ready incase you get stranded someplace in the mountains over night. The chances of them happening are slim, but it does happen and people do die from it. So just pack some warm stuff.
What colors are actually safe to wear in Los Angeles? -
you wont go wrong wearing lavender and puce ... cept you might get picked up by one of them gay fellers if you re a guy
Well actually mostly all colors are gang related.Red Shirt - BloodsBlue Shirt - CripsGreen Shirt - CobrasYellow Shirt - Latin KingsRed and Black Shirt - JuggalosAlso Red Shirt - NorthsidePurple - SouthsideBut maybe like a white shirt but dont have like those colors above with a white shirt. Also maybe a pink shirt if you like pink. Purple you might be able to wear. Black is ok i guess but idk.
Wear whatever you want . This gang garbage is an urban legend. Sure if you look like a gangster with the other affiliations like being in a gang neighborhood, flashing gang signs, hanging with other gang members, something could happen. Other than that you are just a simple tourist. It isn t like a blue scarf automatically paints a Bullseye on your back. Get real. These gang types are high schoolers who never grew up. My turf!! King of the Hill!!! Whoa, it gets really old. Sherrif Joe is coming to LA. Be careful.
well i live in LA area and i never really have any problems about what i wear, i actually don t think about it =/ i just wear whatever, although i never wear plain teeshirts they always have a design or graphic or somthin so idk if that efffects it
dont wear solid colors!!! watch these........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzFviJFEaZ0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5mwWPyuBIc feature=PlayList p=2168E931E3805CAD playnext=1 playnext_from
uhh they sell shirts n hats now that are half blue and half red lol i kno green is a gang color gold i belive is gang colors also thats actually a good question if u really live in the hood or ware u really need to know im sure you would
If you wearing a Wizard of Oz shirt and ruby slippers, you be safe.http://www.break.com/usercontent/2009/3/
gold/blackred/blackummmm purple s okaaay....WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU. IF YOU DON T LOOK LIKE TRASH AND DON T HO STROLL AROUND THE GHETTOS THEN IT WON T BE AN ISSUEand don t make gang signs with your hands either.... god
You should wear a clear shirt. It is the only color not taken by gangs who live in housing projects you will never go to anyway.
Anything but red or blue. They are the crypts and the bloods colors. Also nothing that has the Raiders on it.
Don t wear solid colors in general.Wear tye-dye!I m pretty sure chartreuse is gang-neutral.
WHO CARES!!WEAR WHATEVER YOU FREAKIN WANT!!
fuchsia
See, this is just one more reason why I like Pink.....
Iowa State University question? -
well Iowa it self is pretty friendly and more open also the pace of life is much more laid back not rush rush rush .. the weather changes alot in Iowa.. at this time its cold and wil get even colder as winter sets in and will snow,, it will be hars at first but join some groups or clubs and you will be just finealos Iowa is about 95% white .. Chicago is just a 2 - 3 hours away a great weekend trip
Well first ISU has a very large Asian Community, you would have no issues what so ever with that. Weather wise it seems Iowa has all the extremes. It gets very cold in January/early Feb often below 0 degrees and has a lot of snow, but gets very hot and humid (in the 90 s) in late July and August. Spring and Fall are beautiful here and nice weather. You would worry about Tornadoes and Snow Storms instead of things like earthquakes. Personally I like having actual season changes throughout the year! The Vet program at ISU is very competitive but also extremely good. I would definitely recommend it. Also the ISU campus has a land grant where there are laws on how much green space there has to be, so it is a gorgeous campus with a park like setting.
ok, I ll start from the top, I don t actually know how good of a vet program they have, but I have heard good things about it at ISU. In my personal opinion I d be staying in california near my family, but I think I d get homesick. going off to college is scary, I cried when my parents left me and I was only an hour and a half from home. Ames itself is a decent place. There isn t THAT much to do though for it being a college town. I used to live in Ames when I was a teen 16-17. The college offers some pretty interesting things, but it d get boring after a bit. The people there are friendly too, I think making friends would not be that hard, especially since you said you re Asian. I ve noticed that Asians like Iowa schools. You could look into clubs specifically for your culture. Now, onto the weather. ugh. Iowa weather sucks. Last week it was 72 degrees and today it s 27 and it snowed last night. The weather in Iowa is very unpredictable. It gets very cold in the winters, down to -30 and very hot in the summer up to 115. The summers are horrid just because it s sooo humid. It almost feels like you re walking through jello sometimes and you re hot and sticky 24/7, even if you just took the nicest, coldest shower ever. The spring and the fall though here are great. spring does rain a lot but it s very pretty and you just feel great coming out of 4 months of ice and snow. and fall has a great feeling in the atmosphere because college football is what dominates Iowa. For 12 saturdays a year just about everyone is watching Iowa, and the Iowa/Iowa State rivalry is incredible.I know this is very long, but I hope it s useful to you. good luck in picking colleges.

New York is a fun, vibrant city for people of all ages. I first started going into the city with my parents when I was a kid. Here s my list of top ten things to do:1) See a Broadway show. There are many current productions that appeal to young teens. For the fun of it, buy your tickets at TKTS in Times Square and save half off that day s shows. 2) Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Take the subway into Brooklyn, get out at the first stop, then walk back into Manhattan. The views are spectacular and there are interesting historical plaques along the way that tell the history of the bridge.3) Eat sidewalk cuisine, including pretzels, from a pushcart on Fifth Avenue.4) Go to the Cloisters, a really cool museum in Fort Tryon Park at the upper end of Manhattan. It is like a cool medieval European monastery.5) Eat a huge slab of cheesecake at the Roxy Deli in Times Square.6) Go to the top of the Empire State Building for a spectacular view of Manhattan and beyond.7) Eat dinner at Carmine s on 42nd Street. The veal scallopini is to die for.8) Go to the Museum of Natural History on Central Park and marvel at the dinosaur bones.9) Ride the Staten Island Ferry over and back. It s free and the views are wonderful.10) Go to the United Nations and tour it. Learn about this important world body and why it is still relevant after more than 60 years. Shop in the UN s cool international gift shops.Other fun things include a horse and buggy ride through Central Park, ice skating at Rockefeller Center, a backstage tour at Radio City Music Hall, afternoon tea at the Plaza Hotel, and the NBC Studios Tour.Above all, have fun!
We just got back from NYC about 3 months ago and I m definitely going back! We were there for 3 days, but I think 5 days should be enough. Get the 3+ day NewYorkPass, it will save you a lot of money! http://www.newyorkpass.com/ Also, buy your NYC T-shirt ( 5 for 10.99) at Times SQ.Around Empire State building, they have a lot of cheap NYc sounviers. Hotel wise, book early. We stayed in Chinatown (Hotel 91) but it s clean and fairly cheap- though you can heard the subway at night, it didn;t bother us. Becareful of big and cheap hotel, I heard it s not clean,, The last thing you want is to bring home some bed bugs.Broadway Show: If Wicked was too expensive ( it was for us), so we went to see Fuerza Bruta , we got a coupon online and pay half price =) so check online! .. Let put it this way, we will never forget this show.. we had a blast!http://www.broadwaybox.com/ ? for cheap shows! Ps. We finally watched Wicked In San Francisco, it was great!
Go on the bus tours, and cruises. They are fun. Try these tours..http://www.newyorksightseeing.comhttp://www.citysightsny.com
