Your only hope is to talk your parents into making this a family trip. At fourteen it s not safe and your parents should know this. If you have family or close friends you could stay with in California it might be OK. If you don t then wait until you are at least 18.
Have your parents go to the auto club and get a couple of brochures on Los Angeles. places to see hotels to stay eating establishments.you do realize, that being under 18 you wont be allowed to stay in a hotel by yourself?
Well thats tough..... you would need to work out a deal with your family to save money to have fun. In the meantime, short city bus trips to places you have never been before near to your house. (: its fun! answer mine?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?
Maybe you can put money in by helping your neighbors out with washing their cars, babysit their kids, walk their dogs, etc.Sorry to burst your bubble, but at 14 you cannot travel alone let alone rent a hotel room.
Try www.cheapoair.com or www.CheapTickets.com hope you find something good ...:)
try a bus
No problem.............just wait until you are about 18 and out of school and have your own money.
I lived in LA for---35 years..It wouldnt be safe for a 14 yr old to go there on her own.You wouldnt make it a day before you had someone following you, or trying to con you into some wonderful thing...and you d fall into a trap. . You need more streets smarts than you have now at 14.Im quite afraid for you, if you do this. LA is a huge, huge city close to 4 million people, from all over the world. Gangs, drug addicts, vagrants, alcholics. Pimps, Con men. Of course, there are nice people too, but they wont target you. Try somewhere that you ll be safe, until youre older. You need to be 18 to get a hotel room.
Ask your parents to go to Los Angeles for summer vacation do not go alone. My friends and I are planning on going there for our senior trip and I m still afraid being with just them. Anyways either if you go on a train, plane or in a car it s going to cost a lot. Your talking up over 500 dollars for a ticket ect. and if you go on a train it takes a couple of days or so to get there. Especially in a car it will take days and the gas money will be a lot. I m going to los angeles this summer because my boyfriend moved there to live with his dad. I m going alone or I might go with a friend if she is allowed but I know I m going to be afraid and it s not the best idea. I m also 16 but still going that distance without anyone isn t the best idea. I am staying at my boyfriends house and meeting him at a certain drop off spot. Unless you have someone over there or your going with friends I wouldn t suggest you go. You can get lost or worse. If your parents let you go alone then they really don t care.
There are no magic words we can provide to convince your parents. On the contrary, that is a trip that is WAY too dangerous for a 15YO to do alone. We get this question in this forum regularly from selfish kids who get it in their heads that California is some magical place, where the weather is great, everything is pretty and everything is wonderful. In other words, SoCal is a sitcom where theres no trash, dirt, smog, problems, or traffic, and any problem is resolved in 23.5 minutes (allowing for commercial breaks). They just don t think it through. Do you realize that you are asking your parents to drop about $4000? Since you re not working, you don t realize how long it takes to save that kind of money.Nothing is cheap when traveling. So the only thing I could suggest is coming up with about $4000. That should convince them.
The insurance company doesn t give a squat about the license plates on her car, or yours. You shouldn t have any problems adding her car onto your policy. Call your insurance company and simply tell them that you want to add another vehicle and driver. Of course, they ll want to know who the leasor is (bank or loan company) so they can apply the appropriate coverage for a leased vehicle, and also where the vehicle is garaged (NY).
As your question states we live in new york therefore both of you should have new york license plates. In most states you have 10 days after moving to get the proper license plates. Otherwise you are breaking the law and should be prosecuted for fraud.
not a travel question. ask the leasing company. i bet you cannot.
Start looking at least 2 months before. If you plan to use a broker, they only like to work with people who are looking to rent asap. helpful tip: When you re looking for an apt in NYC, and you see something you like, jump on it right away. Once you start double thinking about it, it will be swiped from right under. Especially during the rental season which is just before school starts. Lots of kids coming to school here, lots of recent graduates with new jobs etc.
