I love it here! I have found nothing like it anywhere else in the U.S. It s not like it seems in movies or on tv, though. Most people don t live right in the middle of the busiest parts of town. For example, I live in a lovely neighborhood filled with low-rise buildings, mostly built in the late 19th century (much of my neighborhood is landmarked.) We have lots of children in my part of town, and the streets are usually filled with strollers and little kids. There are lots of small boutiques in the neighborhood, but not big stores. There ARE really great restaurants here, and the street I live on has sort of become a real restaurant row in the past few years! But people must take a subway trip of at least a half an hour to get to midtown Manhattan. So not all of New York is the way it looks on television. And a lot more people live in residential neighborhoods than live in big buildings in the middle of Manhattan.
It can be both good and bad. It is interesting though, and always exciting. There s everything you can ever need most of the time. You can choose however you want to live, there is a lot of diversity and all the nationalities and ethnicities that you can think of are here. There are different styles here and a lot of things to do. There are less people living in new york city than you think, there are always a lot of tourists, I always wonder If there wouldn t be any tourists here How would new york city actually look. Hmm..well I ll never find out. Anyway some people live in apartments, others live in houses. There are good opportunities here, especially for the educated ones. Nyc is the center of attention of a lot of things in usa and world, everything happens here. I can t explain that, you just have to see it for yourself. : )
One of the greatest cities on Earth. No other city comes closed when it competes with NYC. This is the Financial, Entertainment and Media Capital of the World.Good luck
It s really really good! U will like it a lot!
