What kind of music are people into in Denver in general? -

I know everyone s different with their individual taste, but what would you say would be the general favorite genre? just curious cuz I m thinking of moving there.

Like you said its very hard to say, I will tell you that Colorado caters to just about every music taste. I happen to like the jamband scene and it seems like that s all that s here only because that s what Im looking for, however we do have alot of everything else and we support many local bands as well. If you want to get a feel for whats here, check out some of our local radio stations that put on concerts..http://area93.com/pages/events_concerts.http://www.jambase.comhttp://www.957theparty.com/pages/concertWe have a ton of venues here, there is usually always some sort of live music happening most nights of the week...not to mention we have the greatest venue of all...Red Rocks.

Stupidest question I ve ever seen on this website. Everybodies music taste are different so you can t generalize!!!!! Would it be a decision maker if you got an answer like Country, Mexican (with all the trumpets) or hard rock. Basically are you just asking the question to ask a question or is there an actual reason for the question, cause I can t figure out a valid reason to ask such a question.

Like Sunshine, I don t think you can generalize about the music scene in Colorado. If you want a specific genre, someone can probably point you in the direction, but there is no single musical taste or anything close to it. There is a jazz scene, a bluegrass scene, a folk-rock scene, a classical music scene, a chamber music scene, a country music scene, an R B scene.. and that is just among us old farts.

The Electronic Dance Music scene here is huge. I moved here from L.A. 5 years ago and was thrown away by how many people are really into techno/electronic/dance music. There are always HUGE names coming to club Beta, The Church, and Vynal. The rave scene here is also very big which draws a lot of electronica artists

well theres different favorites for different areas in the denver areaaurora and denver mostly listen to hip hop and r b and rapparker listens to a lot of country, then rapdenver is same as aurora lakewood is half mexican and rap and then rockgolden is mainly country and rap boulder and north is rock and rapBUT IN GENERAL.... POOR = RAP/MEXICANMIDDLE = RAP, ROCK COUNTRYRICH = RAP, COUNTRYo ya and all chicks like pop lol

There is a little of everything in Denver. There are lots of people into Jam Bands in Colorado. There is also a pretty ok goth scene too. There is also lots of electro clash in Denver. Streets of London pub in cap, hill used to have a pretty cool punk night on mondays.Big clubs to check are Vinyl, and The Church. Polyester is pretty ok, as far as theme clubs go. Some tiny clubs and bars are fun too. I always liked the Snake Pit, and Lion s Lair. Check online to make sure these places are still open. I haven t lived in Denver for 3 years.

Things to do in Louisville? -

I m planning a trip to Louisville Kentucky for 3 or 4 teenage girls for a sweet 16 birthday. I need ideas on what to do. We re going on a weekend. I already know of a couple places to eat, Lynn s Paradise Cafe and Buca di Beppo, but I need more suggestions for places to eat too. Any help would be great! Please! THANK YOU!

no

You ll want to visit Churchill Downs, Louisville Zoo, Muhammad Ali Center, Belle of Louisville Cruise, Kentucky Derby Museum, and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. Some good places to eat are Toast on Market (delicious Monte Cristo sandwhich), Lonnie s Best Taste of Chicago (great food and service), Heine Brother s Coffee (better than Starbucks or any other chain coffee, also some tasty treats), The Cheesecake Factory (always one of my favorites for delcious cheesecake, chocolate-chip is so good), Tony Roma s (yummy BBQ),

Are there any busses that run from Philadelphia to NYC like the quot;Bolt Busquot;? -

The Bolt Bus has extremely good prices, but their website says they aren t running trips for the day that I wanted to go. Are there any other means of transportation that is cheap? Thank you.

Greyhound, Megabus, and Chinatown Buses all offer the same service. My favorite besides Bolt Bus is Megabus. Google them for the websites.

I just took China Town bus to NYC. It was $20 for a round trip ticket. The buses are clean but the lady at the ticket counter was a *****. It lets you off in China Town in NYC and it picks you up at the same spot. Also try Mega Bus. I haven t done that yet but depending on how far in advance you book and what time of day you go it can be as cheap as $5 there and $1 back. Check the website. And Mega Bus lets you off at Penn Station in NYC which is actually closer to everything (Times Square, Herald Square etc).

There are many choices, picking up at various streets.Look into all the LINKS.

My husband commutes to NYC three days a week via megabus and i ve taken it myself. If you book far enough in advance we have found seats for $1 and even Free! Definitely check it out.Plus it drops off and picks up at 30th St Station Penn Station

You could always take PA s SEPTA to New Jersey then get on an NJ Transit bus. Very cheap, but it would be slow.

Amtrak

Fun Stuff to do on a Road Trip? HELP!? -

Ok, so tomorrow me and my family are going on a 15 hour road trip. I am 12, and I have two younger siblings (sister: 8, brother: 4). I desperately need things to do. I do not have an Ipod, I m bringing books, I have a cell phone, and no portable dvd player. Need ideas!

I hope you guys don t plan on driving it all in one day... but other than iPod or other electronic entertainment, books and conversation is about all you re going to have unless you get some of those travel games at a gas station or Wal-Mart/Target.

Tell me about your Experience of the State of New York.? -

If you could give someone a short description of what your experience in the state of New York was like. What would you have to say? Any tips or things to know ahead of time upon arriving and/or definite places to check out?

Are you going for a trip or are you living there? If you re going for a trip you should stay in Time Square. It s a very busy place all year round. There are art museums, gift shops, a big toys are us that has a ferris Wheel, food on the streets, lots of sub ways, and much more. If you go for Thanksgiving you should see the parade. But if you go for new Years you should see the ball drop. You should see The Statue Of Liberty, The Empire State Building, China Town, all of these shows in the morning like Good morning America, and much more. They film it live and you could be in the audience for free. I would recommend it for everybody.

New York is truly a unique and diverse state. It has everything from seashore to mountains, the largest urban area in the US to the most desolate rural areas. It has four seasons, great universities, the great lakes, Niagara Falls, Internation crossings, and and International territory within its boundaries (the UN). It is the center of commerce, fashion, entertainment. It has been a state that has lead this nation for years in so many areas. It is truly one of the most unique of the 50 American states.

You re talking about one of the largest states in the country, so it totally depends where in NY your talking about. The Adirondacks, NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, the Finger Lakes region. They range from incredibly urban to places you couldn t distinguish from rural Alabama. Good maps are a must. It can also take many hours to get from one place to another so know what and why you re going there. Some rural parts have little if any cell reception, gas stations. They can also be heavily snowed in in many places (the various mountain ranges, Buffalo, etc). I ve lived upstate near Saratoga Springs and in NYC, and love them both, for the culture alone.

20 million NYC Metro citizens and no one stops to smell the roses.

Rent a car In the San Francisco area? im 20 And in Military. will anyone let me rent a car? -

i am going home for christmas and i would like to rent a car i am only 20 im in the military. any way i can rent a car somewhere in the bay area close to San Francisco?

If you have an official travel order, you can rent a car without any additional fee (18+). If you don t have a travel order and you being in the military is unrelated to your reason for travelling/renting, then you can t rent a car at all (have to be 21).One example, from Budget s FAQ (which is standard for every car rental place): Government Renters Including Those in the U.S. MilitaryBudget Rent A Car is proud to deliver unsurpassed rental car service to those who serve our country. At corporate-operated locations, * For U.S. Government (military civilian) personnel WITH a government travel order or purchase order, minimum rental age is 18 years of age. No underage surcharge applies. * For U.S. Government (military civilian) personnel WITHOUT a government travel order or purchase order, minimum rental age is 21 years of age, except 18 years of age in Michigan and New York State. No underage surcharge applies. U.S. Government personnel includes military as well as civilian employees (for example, FEMA, U.S. Postal Dept., Navy, Army, etc.). The minimum age policy applies to both corporate and leisure rates. -- http://www.budget.com/budgetWeb/html/en/If you don t apply, then as someone else brilliantly suggested in a similar question... try renting a U-haul truck. You can rent the smallest vehicle they have and the minimum age is only 18.

They may let you rent a car, but will charge an outrageous underage fee (usually at least $25 a day on top of the other expenses). I would see if someone has an extra car they don t use much that you could borrow while you re there. Or take public transport--it s suppsed to be pretty good there, isn t it?

I tried to do that when i was young....it was a PAIN finding one that would rent to me being under 25 or 24 i dont remember...But...also you need a credit card....and...... What San Francisco area? If its for THE CITY... Dont waste your time...You will PAY SOOO MUCH in Parking every time you want to get out and park somehwere......and look around...so if thats the idea....Dont Do It!.. :)...Take the Trollys and The Trains....even Cabs!....unless you plan on going to one place...walking around that area all day...and then leaving... And if you have never driven in Frisco...I Promise YOU..you will end up going the wrong direction down a 1 way street atleast ONCE..lol...... Anways..It MIGHT be cheaper to get a limo Driver in some cases... Specially if your going with a bunch of people....given the prices for rentals...the prices to Park the damn thing.....anywhere in the city ..etc.... Good Luck!

Yes, as long as you re 18 w/ military ID, they might charge a little charge.Try to call the car rentals before you go and rent it.

you work in the military!!! u can die horrible job
