Are you talking about New York City? If so,depends on what part of the city you live in.Manhattan is very expensive.The other parts,Staten Island,Brooklyn,The Bronx,and Queens are much cheaper. Try looking at apartments online.

NY is one of the most expensive states to live in. Especially when it comes to apartments, etc. NYC and the surrounding areas are HORRIBLE.

Long Island is beautiful, and very expensive but you will do fine if you set your mind to do it. Getting roommates to help with the rent will be very helpful.

What is a good family-friendly beach vacation spot? -

Specifically I mean one that isn t just club after club, full of drunk annoying college kids acting like idiots. In other words, something quiet and geared towards older adults and very young children. I m also looking for something on the east coast that is relatively warm during early April. It doesn t have to be warm enough to swim, just nice enough to sit outside.

It s actually a living biblical museum that takes you back 2000 years to the Bible days. It is a great experience and you need just about all day to experience the entire musuem. I believe they recommend 6 hours out of your day.
