Is Central Park in NYC famous for drug deals? -

I m not from New York, and I just saw a comedian, when talking about Whitney Houston performing in Central Park, saying: She knew that park pretty well ... every bush! Just wondering if Central Park is famous for a lot of drug deals or if that wasn t what was meant by that all.

Well, years ago, back in the days of hippies, you could always score some pot in the park, especially around Bethesda Fountain, but, nowadays, maybe not so much, really. Central Park, like the rest of New York City, has become pretty much gentrified and safe nowadays, not like the old days when it really was as dangerous as people still seem to think it is, but it really isn t any more.Good luck!...

Where can I take my wife for 4 nights in the PA Area? -

Hello...I just managed to get a last minute time off from work from Dec 28th to Dec 30th. I was thinking of taking my wife somewhere for about 4 nights 5 days. We live around Lansdale PA, and of course by now the Flights are just too expensive. Can anyone from the PA area recommend a nice getaway where we are not very far from home, and at the same time have a nice and quiet vacation away from home?

Poconos is the spot. I ve spent some time at Lake Harmony near Jack Frost/Big Boulder. I absolutely love it up there. It s only about an hr and a half from lansdale. You could probably find a cabin available on craigslist.

PA is a great place for nice and quiet! I would look on craigslist for anyone that is renting out a cabin for that time frame. If you can find a place in one of the state forests you can have an awesome vacation.

Go to the Poconos. They are very scenic and beautiful. They are one of my favorite places in PA.http://www.800poconos.com

I m not sure how far you are from the Poconos but that is the ULTIMATE place to go with a spouse. There should be a website....check it out.

What do you think of Mississippi? -

I live in Mississippi. And I know my state has a bad rep. What stereotypes do you have about the state. Be honest. This is my personal view: Its a very pretty state. I live in the capital and i still feel like i live in the middle of a forest. I think we are the least likely place terrorist will hit. My accent is cute. My education is fine. I m in the International Baccalaureate Programme and earn college credits in high school. Most people are friendly. The weather is great year round. I hate the fact that the state is segregated(not legally). I go to a school with 1000 kids and maybe 5 of them are white. and i hate that people expect me to be stupid because i come from MS.

a bunch of black people and rednecks. Inbreeding that sorta stuff.

Ignorant religious people who try to teach that a wizard created the universe in science class. Overweight, unhealthy, the place is hot all the time, and the people, both white AND black, are racist. Is it true 100% of the time? Of course not, but that s what I get when I think of Mississippi

What is a fun city that is in between Kingston, Canada and Boston, MA? -

I am in Boston and am meeting up with someone in Kingston. Where is a good place for us to meet up that is relatively in between us?

Montreal

Sarasota Springs NY is almost dead center on the diagonal. Burlington VT is a fun city, but it s way north for you and even a little north for your friend.Sarasota Springs is a tourist destination and a college town. It has entertainment, etc. It would be a good pick.

Looking for abandoned, haunted buildings to explore in Central oregon.? -

My girlfriends and I want to do a girls trip and all of us are fascinated by abandoned building and exploring them. Would love to spend the night in an asylum or something like but the only ones I can find are on East coast. We could drive to Washington or California as well. Tours would be great but really hoping for something like the asylum in WV where they lock you in around 9 and let you out at 5am and you can explore on your own. Thanks for the help.
