Sofrito New Years - Latin New Years Eve NYC Party? -

The latin new years eve party this year is at Sofrito NYC, that s what all of my friends at work have been saying. Where can we get cheap tickets and information?

Ye! Sofrito is definitely the hottest Latin New Years Eve party in New York for 2010. http://newyearsplans.com/nyc-sofrito.htmConveniently located in Midtown East Manhattan, Sofrito resembles meatpacking-district club: Ambient hip-hop pulses while the 100-foot bar is backlit by blue windows. White colonnades are painted with the aphorisms of Spanish Harlem artist James de la Vega, and casual multigenerational groups mix with sleekly dressed couples. Sofrito is a favorite spot for many celebrities including Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Carlos Beltran, Jorge Posada, Omar Minaya, Fat Joe, Jose Reyes, Jamie Foxx, Lamar Odom, Roselyn Sanchez, Carlos Delgado, Matt Dillon,John Leguizamo, and LL Cool J. You can get tickets and information at http://newyearsplans.com/nyc-sofrito.htmThe open bar packages and vip tables are great!!

Best hotels in dc for private party? -

i am looking for a hotel room that will big enough to accomandate around 20 people and i need the vibe to be chill so when there is noise we wont get kicked out. any suggestions. thanx

I ve never stayed there, but I have to believe the Americana Hotel in Arlington, Virginia would be a good choice. It s right on the main drag that goes to the National Airport and whatnot. See link below.

Helix is good. Most hotels have party and reception rooms that include a bedroom, a living/dining area and bar with a small kitchen. These are typically situated on the end of the hallway where there will be as little disturbance of other guests as possible. Just let the hotel know what you want and they ll do their best to accomodate you. You are generally charged the same rate as any other suite costs.

the best one...the name escapes me...is in arlington! even though its def. not DC, it was the ****

Go visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two landmarks of New York City. To get there by the ferry, you need to purchase round-trip ferry tickets at Castle Clinton National Monument in Lower Manhattan. Ferries from New York operate on a loop, stopping first at Liberty Island and then at Ellis Island before returning to Battery Park, New York.Directions to get the ferry dock:http://www.nps.gov/stli/planyourvisit/puGo visit the Empire State Building, one of the many landmarks of our city. It is located at 350 5th Avenue. To get there by MTA subway, take the 1, 2, or 3 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C or E (Eighth Avenue Subway) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Or take the B, D, F, N, Q, R or Path to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas.Go walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, which is, if I m correct, which I might not be, is the oldest structure in the city. If not the oldest structure, the oldest bridge. To get there, and walk across it, take the 4, 5, or 6 to the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop. Another option would be to take the J, M, or Z to Chambers Street.Go visit Coney Island, the home of the world famous Cyclone roller coaster. The amusement park will be closed, especially in the winter time, but the aquarium is open year-round, and sometimes the pier is open, so you can get some snacks -- they have fantastic corn dogs on the pier. To get there by train, take the D, Q N or F train to Stillwell Avenue, which is the last stop. This takes about 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan, and sometimes longer, depending on where you are coming from.Go for a ride on the Circle Line. There are numerous different cruises C one is the Full Island Cruise, which takes you around Manhattan on a three-hour cruise. The Semi-Circle Cruise sets sail on a two-hour cruise down the Hudson offering a stunning panoramic of the famed New York skyline and a close-up view of Lady Liberty. The Liberty Cruise turns 75-minutes into a quick and inspirational way to see New Yorks highlights from the water. There is also a Harbor Lights Evening Cruise, which allows you to view the hotspots of New York City from the water at night. Then, there is The Beast. Its a boat that travels at forty-five miles per hour down the river to the Statue of Liberty. Both cruises are fun and informational, and are a great way to kill some time if you dont have anything to do.Here is the Circle Line schedule:http://www.circleline42.com/site/schedulCircle Line special events:http://www.circleline42.com/site/browse.Go to visit some museums. There are so many, that listing directions to all of them would be a waste of your time and my time, so instead, I will give you a list where there is a list of all the museums of New York City. You can pick some that sound interesting, and then you can find directions to that place, either from the website, or from Google, simply by typing in directions to and insert the museum you would like to go to beside it. A visit to New York City during Christmas time would not be a trip to New York City during Christmas time without a trip to Rockefeller center to visit the big tree. You ve missed the lighting this year, but between then and January seventh, the tree will be up, so I strongly suggest going out there to check out the tree. Rockefeller is between 47th and 50th Streets and 5th and 7th Avenues. I would also suggest seeing the Nutcracker , which is a Christmas-themed ballet. It s a magical performance, and it s a fun family ballet, and I would suggest that as well. Also check out SoHo and Canal Street for some fantastic shopping. There are some great miscellaneous items you can find around there, and there is almost everything that you could want and need for the holidays. the Nutcracker ballet information:http://www.nutcrackerballet.net/ Top 10 Things To Do in NYC For The Christmas Holiday http://travelingmamas.com/2008/12/02/top Things to do in New York City at Christmastime http://www.onboardnewyorktours.com/chris How to Enjoy Christmas in New York http://www.associatedcontent.com/articleNote: Maps of New York City are at every newsstand, and newsstands are all around New York City. Also, for transportation, there are maps in subway cars and on subway trains, and there are also maps in buses. The maps at bus stops are usually just for the bus route. All the best ?

You must check out the most popular food vendor in town on the corner of 6th ave and 53rd st (south west corner) with Halal food. There is usually a really long line there. Make sure that you go after 7 PM because that is when good guy rolls in his wagon. Also, try Gray Pappaya - hot dog place, they are all over town - closes to time square - 37th st and 8th ave - really good dogs - stay away from the guys on the cornersTry s e x museum on 5th ave and 26th st. You can try 1 hr champagne tour in NYC in a limousine - bottle of champagne and ride for 1 hour looking at lights.

Why dont we have a reggae station in Sacramento? -

It seems awful strange so much negative music is allowed on the airwaves but the positive life lifting sounds of positive reggae music has been stiffld for so long. Do anyone of you feel there should be this type of station?

There should be. You know there is KDVS in Davis, Ca (90.3 I think?). It s the college radio station and I think they might have a reggae show, if they don t you should call in and suggest one. It s a bunch of amateurs who run the station and play lots of underground type music.

There s not a big market for it. Start requesting reggae songs at different stations.
