i have just heard about circus circus where kids are allowed. Is there anything else which a 2 1/2 year old can do ?
Kids are allowed in most resorts in Vegas. I would actually avoid staying at Circus Circus - it s pretty old, run-down, and not in a great location. There are circus acts in the lobby area, which your child might enjoy, but the Adventuredome rides wouldn t be appropriate for such a young one. Some other things to do:*Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay (child will be free, I think it s about $16.95 for adults) - sharks, rays, crocs, etc*Lion Exhibit at MGM (free) - it s a glass enclosure that you can walk through and around*Secret Garden Dolphin Habitat at Mirage (about $15 for adults, child will be free) - the front part includes 2 pools where you can see dolphins. You can get really close, so the child would get a good view. The back part is a small zoo, with lions, tigers, etc.*Rainforest Cafe restaurant at MGM is a kid favorite*Bellagio Fountains*Mirage volcanoes
The primary tourist areas of Las Vegas (the strip and Fremont Street) are not appropriate places for young children. What do you think a 2 1/2 year old will get out of seeing nearly naked women on every taxi cab, people drinking booze, smoking and gambling all at the same time, and more naked women on pamphlets that litter the sidewalks from Circus Circus to Mandalay Bay?Even a family oriented property like Circus Circus does not have enough to keep that young of a child occupied for more than a couple of hours. I suggest you leave the child home, with family, or stay at the Red Rock resort and take your child to Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, and other places that don t involve casinos, booze, sexuality and cigarettes.
There s plenty of things you can do with a child. The M M factory would probably be fun. Or you could watch the Bellagio fountain. You could go to Madame Tussuad s Wax Museum, it s a very cool place and my little cousin loved it when she was 4. Just walking around throughout the hotels is good for kids and the New York New York hotel has an arcade in it.
Well when I was there in june last year, I noticed a LOT of pools.... I mean ALOT... almost every hotel/casino has a pool.. yours is sure to have one.. Also there are mcdonalds with those kids areas as with every other state.... like the other guy said.. look around the internet at las vegas sites.. im sure you will find some more good ideas... theres so many people on the net now-a-days you will probably even find a person who lives in vegas with children in a chatroom somewhere who you can ask! hope this helps...
nothing much with a child... They have slot machines there because i seen a lady at the coffe shop where they have VLT machines. She literally had her child on one of those child leashes and tied the end to the vlt machine while she was playing. The kid was siting and looked well tiered i was like wow....talk about parent of the year huh..... Maybe go to an amusement park?
Circus Circus Adventuredome is too much for a child that age. But take the wee one to see Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, a self guided aquarium and you can use the stroller, Lion Habitat at front of MGM Grand (free), Sigfried Roys Secret Garden at Mirage.
Go to the zoo or the Adventuredome at Circus Circus. Really though...why would you take a toddler to Vegas. Boring for you and boring for them.
Las Vegas is for people over 21yo. Leave the child with uncle, aunt, grandparents, siblings, very good friends. Come have some adult fun.
You may want to do a Google search or similar - my word of caution is watch the child very carefully....lots (!!!!) of foot traffic and oddball type people around
