The parade kicks off the Fremont Fair, a benefit for the Fremont Public Association. The pageant, a large-scale community play using over a hundred dancers, musicians and giant puppets, follows the parade at the end of the parade route at Gas Works Park. Admission to the fair is free but donations (advertised to end poverty, and donated to the Fremont Public Association) are encouraged. The parade is famous for its wild and creative floats and ensembles and for the Solstice Cyclists who strip down before the parade and paint their bodies unofficially start the parade every year.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremont_FaiBite of Seattle is an annual food festival that takes place over three days in July at Seattle, Washington, USA s Seattle Center.Founded by Alan Silverman, the president of Festivals, Inc., the first festival was held in 1982 at Green Lake, with 25 restaurants participating and 75,000 in attendance. Instead of a Wikipedia answer, I ll tell you from a local s POV.Bumpershoot: Hundreds of bands over the span of Labor Day weekend. Lots of food, pot, festival type stuff. Lots of famous artists in the stadium and local bands. Huge attendance (I don t go anymore because it costs so much).Fremont Fair: Awesome parade where naked people bike and paint themselves, there are cool floats, and all the hippies come out. You can buy lots of cool souvinery things.Bite of Seattle: It has music, not on the scale of Bumbershoot, but good enough. Its basically just tons of food stands from all over the world. Go if you re hungry, but it s gotten expensiveYou should move here, it rocks!!!
