What to do in the Bay Area on New Years Eve? -

I m pretty new to the area and I live in San Jose. I have a friend coming for new years eve weekend and I need some ideas on what to do...I was thinking San Fran might be fun. We re both guys, upper 20s, straight and like to booze it up.Thanks.

I m looking for a printable map of the place. If you know where I can find one, please link! Also, I m trying to find the entrance to the place with the map they have provided on the website. If you could point it out to me, that would be VERY HELPFUL if I can t get my hands on a printable map! Thanks :)

If you re talking about how to get to the Renaissance Festival from Houston, you need to get to either of these places: (1) Plantersville (on 105 west of Conroe). Turn LEFT (south) at the traffic light onto FM 1714. If you look at a map, it s basically located near Todd Mission. You can t miss it. (2) Magnolia (on 1488 west of I 45, just north of The Woodlands). Turn RIGHT (north) at the traffic light just before the railroad tracks onto FM 1714. Again, it s near Todd Mission.

Is Minneapolis in Minnesota really that dangerous or quot;ghettoquot;? -

I don t really think it is, but I have a friend who thinks it is. She says she s gonna take me to the geto part of Murderapolis where they don t like white people(I m white). She says they re gonna follow me and says they might jump me and take my money, phone,etc. I think that if i just go there in normal clothes, nuthin fancy, and mind my own business walkin the streets, i ll be fine. and just in case sumthin happens i m not gonna bring any i pods, phones, money or anything - just the clohtes on my back. I just laughed and said go ahead take me there. Hopefully we re gonna do this next weekend, the sooner the better. I don t think Minneapolis, St Paul, or any part of Minnesota is getto or dangerous lmao.......What do you guys think? Do you think I m being stupid by excepting this offer like my friend thinks? I have only been to Minneapolis once (a downtown hotel), but I read an academic book about homelessness based in Minneapolis and they made the Phillips neighborhood sound like a gang-ridden crack-infested ghetto. Granted this is the the early -mid 1990 s but I would avoid that area as it probably is still dangerous.

Dont go to those places. There are bad areas in Minneapolis, there are gangs, there are high crime areas. You want to risk that, you are not thinking. I am an adult there are places there I wouldnt go even in day-time. I think they have tried to clean Hennipin Ave up, but it is still bad. Plenty of nice places to go, do that

Is it really worth trying to determine weather or not a portion of a major city is dangerous or ghetto in order just to prove a friend wrong who evidently comes from the city in question? If you are right, then nothing will happen to you, but you don t seem 100 percent sure about your safety if you have to ask this question. and if your friend is right, you might regret your decision. It s one thing to hold your head high and be brave and bold, it s another to use your head and know when brave and bold may not be enough to ensure your safety at best.
