What must i do when visiting New York? -

i am visiting new york city for 6 nights, its my second time however my first was a few years ago now, can anybody tell me what are the must do s in NYC? also, the best shops and their locations for designer clothing? resteraunts also. thanks!

Go visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two landmarks of New York City. To get there by the ferry, you need to purchase round-trip ferry tickets at Castle Clinton National Monument in Lower Manhattan. Ferries from New York operate on a loop, stopping first at Liberty Island and then at Ellis Island before returning to Battery Park, New York.Directions to get the ferry dock:http://www.nps.gov/stli/planyourvisit/puGo visit the Empire State Building, one of the many landmarks of our city. It is located at 350 5th Avenue. To get there by MTA subway, take the 1, 2, or 3 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C or E (Eighth Avenue Subway) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Or take the B, D, F, N, Q, R or Path to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas.Go walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, which is, if I m correct, which I might not be, is the oldest structure in the city. If not the oldest structure, the oldest bridge. To get there, and walk across it, take the 4, 5, or 6 to the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop. Another option would be to take the J, M, or Z to Chambers Street.Go visit Coney Island, the home of the world famous Cyclone roller coaster. The amusement park will be closed, especially in the winter time, but the aquarium is open year-round, and sometimes the pier is open, so you can get some snacks -- they have fantastic corn dogs on the pier. To get there by train, take the D, Q N or F train to Stillwell Avenue, which is the last stop. This takes about 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan, and sometimes longer, depending on where you are coming from.Go for a ride on the Circle Line. There are numerous different cruises C one is the Full Island Cruise, which takes you around Manhattan on a three-hour cruise. The Semi-Circle Cruise sets sail on a two-hour cruise down the Hudson offering a stunning panoramic of the famed New York skyline and a close-up view of Lady Liberty. The Liberty Cruise turns 75-minutes into a quick and inspirational way to see New Yorks highlights from the water. There is also a Harbor Lights Evening Cruise, which allows you to view the hotspots of New York City from the water at night. Then, there is The Beast. Its a boat that travels at forty-five miles per hour down the river to the Statue of Liberty. Both cruises are fun and informational, and are a great way to kill some time if you dont have anything to do.Here is the Circle Line schedule:http://www.circleline42.com/site/schedulCircle Line special events:http://www.circleline42.com/site/browse.Go to visit some museums. There are so many, that listing directions to all of them would be a waste of your time and my time, so instead, I will give you a list where there is a list of all the museums of New York City. You can pick some that sound interesting, and then you can find directions to that place, either from the website, or from Google, simply by typing in directions to and insert the museum you would like to go to beside it. You know, one of the great things about NYC is that there are no musts . The truth is, if you follow the logic of things you must do, you ll miss the serendipitous nature of NYC! Don t go somewhere because someone said it s an absolute must . Especially since you ve been here before. Try to see the real NYC this time. Walk a lot, get out of the tourist bubble of Times Square. See the real City! This is a great place to live! Better than to visit!

don t just stay in Manhattan there are 5 different boroughs to see and they all have special unique attractions, so go see them all.

go to the new york stadium. they have resturaunts and the team there check em out

Where should the Mississippi River flow if it werent for the levees? -

please cite your info (website)

anywhere it wants

The levees for the Mississippi are different than the levees that failed. The River levees are at least a ratio of 4 across to 1 high. In some places the slant the levee produces is almost imperceptible because it runs two miles from the river (high point) to the lower point. The River levees are natural - not manmade at all. They were created from years and years of sediment and debris collected at the banks along the years. Of course we try to beef up our River levees, but they are creations of mother nature, levees and all. This was why the French Quarter, the oldest part of the city was built here, at one of the highest points along the river - to avoid flooding.

Across the delta and New Orleans, providing barriers to storms, food and habitat for sea life, excellent fishing and hunting. It would stop the sinking of the land that will eventually swallow New Orleans and salt the land.

It would not pass by New Orleans anymore, rather it would go closer to Lafayette to the West (Atchafalaya Basin)

What are the dimensions of the safe thats in the disney hotel rooms? (best answer 10pnts.)? -

im not a creeper i want to see if my MacBook will be able to fit in there.

Yes, it will fit!! But that s probably all you can fit in it then!!I know, bc my friend put her s in it when we went down!! :)

I doubt your MacBook will fit... The safe is probably smaller than the size of a piece of paper and is only about 3 inches deep. I had a hard time getting my few odds and ends like wallet, airline tickets, extra battery for camera, extra memory stick and 2 cell phones in there. There are not shelves in it and it is mounted in the wall so you kind of have to stack things on top of one another.I put my laptop in my suitcase and locked the zippers closed. I stuck the key in the safe. That was the best way I could come up with to feel somewhat secure.

Tiny, your MacBook won t fit. It s like safes in all hotel rooms. You can only store some very small items - passport, extra cash or cards, small jewelry. Nothing big like a computer will fit. Maybe I am too trusting, but I always just put my laptop in a drawer with a shirt or jacket on top, and it s never been disturbed.

No it won t fit. Keep it in the Laptop case, and put that in the suitcase, and over the laptop case put in a jacket. Just to be safe=]
