Is the food in Disney World expensive? -

I mean not in the restaurants, but turkey legs, mickey s ice cream, that stuff, and can we bring our own food into the parks?

Hey. Me my family are going to Disney in this early Feb. and I have been doing tons of research about it, to keep to a budget, if not I know we will go crazy. I m sure you are looking to pay, for side items, ( turkey legs, ice cream, dipping dots, etc ) On average atleast $5. You can bring your own food also inside Disney, or that s what I have been told. Because I m pregnant, and still will be when we go, + we will have a 2 year old, and we plan on carrying little water bottles to make sure we are hydrated, + a few snacks. The actural resturants inside disney aren t really too high, from some of the menus I have seen, for a Princess Character Meal ( that we plan on doing with our daughter ) Is. About $50 per adult. Our 2 year old will be free. So $100 for a dinner that we will be able to eat with the princess, and the fairys + it also comes with a photo package. But note to self; that is a CHARACTER MEAL, others you can get a nice dinner plate for $10-$15 bucks.

You can take your own food and the price for turkey legs, hamburgers and ice cream is expensive. My wife and I sometimes buy a kids meal. The adult meals are huge and a kids meal is usually just the right size and the price is lower. Plus eat breakfast in your room. Buy milk, fruit and cereal bars this is what we do and it helps keep the cost down. Have fun and here are some links to Disney at Christmas.

Yes, food is expensive and often overpriced at all the Disney parks. However, you can only bring in a limited amount of food from outside, they will not let you bring in a cooler or huge lunch box. If you can afford it I recommend you just avoid the hassle of bringing in your own food and eat at one of the quick service restaurants, dont splurge on ice cream and snacks as you will spend alot of money if you do that.

We ve been to WDW 13 times. If you stay on site you can buy a mug in the food courts that can be refilled throughout your stay. We bring our own snacks (granola bars, fruit nut snacks, rice krispy treats, microwave popcorn). We also bring mini muffins, Pop Tarts, english muffins for breakfast. In the evening we have cookies that we ve brought with us, hot chocolate in our mugs. We bring our own water bottles fill them before going to the parks. They have toasters microwaves in the food courts. You don t want to miss the turkey legs. They are fantastic! They do have some fast food places throughout WDW that aren t that pricey. Have Fun!

This site has menus with actual prices: http://allears.net/din/dining.htm .I don t think Disney food is any more pricey than you find in any other amusement venue.Yes, you can bring in some food. Visit www.allearsnet.com for answers to all your Disney questions, and have a great trip!

oh my goodness yes. I went wit my best friend this summer and every little snack/brownie/candy was above $5... The drinks, everything is expensive.. But its a wonderful place, so save every penny becuz its worth it there!

I havent been there since 2002 but a bottle of Coke 20 oz was 3.00THEN. I took small snacks, like beef sticks, tiny can of pringles etc ..so my load got lighter as the day passed. We ate breakfast before, and dinner after we left.

YES! really expensive, only buy a couple snakcs a day, and bring your own food.

u can take ure own food. its better the food not worth buying.

What is a nice place to live based on what I want? -

Currently I live about 3 hours out from Chicago and thinking on where I d like to move possibly in a few years. I thought about living around Chicago but I know cost of living can be high for something you could get much cheaper elsewhere. Plus I kind of feel like I want to get out of the cold. I m looking for somewhere where the winter lows are probably 35-40 with highs being in the 40+. Right now, I consider that warm. I do enjoy mid 70 s weather with limited humidity but I don t place too much importance on that. I feel like I want to live somewhere with a great view, but has a big city within an hour or two. A beach would be nice but it s not a must. Oh I don t really enjoy southern accents, sorry. I would guess the average salary for my job is between $50k-70k nationwide, which is just supporting me right now. A decent school system would be an interest but since I currently don t have kids, it s not the highest priority. An issue I am having with myself is I don t know how I feel about moving away from my family. Right now most of us are all around the same area. I had an aunt move out to Nevada and pretty much no one in the family talks to her on a regular basis.I know I m requesting a lot .

OK, you are going south to get warmer. I get that. SW, like California is expensive. Texas, Nevada are generally dry, so forget the beach and you won t see many trees or grass, unless it s planted watered. You may do well in the SE, like Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta, where the areas are more metropolitan, and they will heavily dilute the number of local dialects you will hear. Cost of living is lower in the SE as well. At one time, Greenville, SC had the highest number of engineers per capita in the US, and you know there weren t many bubba s in that group.Sounds like it is time for a road trip. Scout around to check out real estate prices. What good is your pool if it is too cold to play.

Vacation for 5 days in/around Seattle in January. Wondering about the weather? -

I realize January may not be the best month to visit Seattle for the first time, but it s when we have the time to go. Also we a considering a move there later on as well so I figured January would be a good time to see Seattle at it s worst maybe? I realize it s going to be colder and raining, just wondering what the rain will really be like....pouring all day everyday or just sprinkling throughout the day? We will be there in the 2nd week of January if that matters at all. I m not really worried about the cold, we re from Minnesota so that won t matter it s just the rain I m worried about. Thanks

It s rarely pouring all day every day here. Usually it s just a light misty rain and frankly, January can be absolutely AWESOME if you happen to get a week of sunny weather (yeah, it really happens!). Like, this week it is going to be FREEEEEEEEEEEZING (literally, like, the high is supposed to be 31 today) which is unusual for Seattle, but it s totally sunny and the mountains and Sound are so beautiful when it s like this!I would check out the 10-day forecast at www.king5.com before you come...Rich Marriott is their weather guy and he s usually spot-on. But you never know...could be sprinkly (more likely), could be pouring (less likely) and could be sunny (well, you can always dream). Bundle up, wear layers, and come enjoy your visit! Note: it can get REALLY windy in downtown Seattle in the winter...the wind just whips up off the Sound, so plan for that if you re going to be mostly downtown. Umbrellas are USELESS in the wind...you need a good rain-proof hooded jacket instead. Also downtown has a lot of STEEP hills so if it s icy it can be really slippery...

Definitely bring rain gear. Something gortex with a hood is ideal.

Would it be out of place to give a NYC apt. doorman a box of candy for Christmas instead of a cash gift? -

Why would you give a doorman anything

Doormen often rely on those end of year cash gifts as do many people who get Christmas bonuses in their paychecks. If money is tight, then a box of candy is better than nothing, try to include a note thanking him for his help all year.I suspect you don t know him all that well, so no explanation of your money situation would be appropriate. If you must say something, try Merry Christmas (or whatever you say) (insert name), lets hope next year s a more prosperous one all around.

Yes, it would be very out of place. Especially, if he was diabetic. If you expect your doorman to help you out in any form over the next year, you will definitely give him a cash gift.

Give the $15. Think if everybody though as you did. What would the door man do with all the chocolates.

He would probably prefer cash. If he wants chocolates, he can buy hem.Are you trying to do a little regifting?

What are some high schools in Laguna Beach, California? -

You can either name some public high schools, or provide websites where I can research this. Do not say Laguna beach High School, and I am asking this because of the Laguina Beach TV showThanks!!!!!!!!

I have to say Laguna Beach High School because it s the only one. Laguna Beach High School 625 Park AvenueLaguna Beach, CA 92651Phone: (949) 497-7750Here s the school district s website.http://www.lbusd.org/index.cfm?fuseactio

http://www.lbusd.org/index.cfm?fuseactioJust so you know, Laguna Beach wasn t even filmed on Laguna Beach. The clubs and partying you see on the show is non-existent on the actual city.

LBHS is the ONLY high school in laguna. it s actually a really good school and is small like a private school
