february is still considered winter so it will be mild to cold. high temperatures are usually in the high 60 s with occasional 70 s. low temperatues are usually between 45 and 60 degrees. it doesn t snow but there will be possible rain. so if you were planning to do a lot of outdoor activites it will be kind of cold. way to cold for the beach. if i were you i would wait til june or july that is when the weather is the best.
its usually pleasant, but this year we are expecting bunches of rain, due to el nino. Or we can have a heat wave in the 90 s like last year,
about 50-60 degrees
Just bring some extra clothes with you there are warm and cold days :)
I don t know how old your cousin and her friends are, and I don t know what part of Virginia she lives in, but there are Amtrak trains from many parts of Virginia that go right into the center of New York City (to Penn Station on 33rd Street.) I took Amtrak often as a teenager (I had sisters who went to college in different places, and I used to take Amtrak to go visit them.) I think it s a very safe way for a teen to travel.
There are inexpensive buses from DC to NYC. I don t think their folks are gonna let them travel to NYC for xmas.
take the bus or the train
what exactly is your question?
The letters P , A , make up the official postal service abbreviation for Pennsylvania.
PA is two syllables.Pennsylvania is five syllables if it s pronounced correctly, and with four syllables usually.
Many longer named states residents abbreviate the name of their respective stated, Mass, Cali, Ole Miss. We just happen to say PA. Some refer to it as Pennsy.
I wouldn t say I m from MA. I normally wouldn t say I m from Massachusetts. I m from Mass.
Because it s easier to say??[This is not a travel question.]
Because we re cool like that.
Well, since I don t know what you like or dislike I would say take a half day and go see the Statue of Liberty. If you feel like it also go to Ellis Island but since time is a factor you can skip it.
Museum of Natural History would do for me.

Recently I was searching for some movies reviews and download site and found this great site http://www.moviesjudge.com
it shows the determination of people to fight foe thei freedoms no matter what the odds.
That was me! If I remember, you are in Brighton. My dog is about 25 pounds, too big for a lap dog, but not the biggest by far. I take my dog on the T all the time. She likes to get on and find the seats with space under them. She doesn t much like the red/orange/blue lines, but she s a big fan of the tunnel in Park Station where the bums all pee. Don t let anyone pet your dog until she gets used to it. Also, try her out on a Sunday morning when no one is on the T. The rules are non-rush hour, at the discretion of the driver. Green Line is best. (Fewer people) You are fine any weekend hour, and weekdays after 9:00 and before 5:00, then after 7:00pm. If a packed car comes by, wait for another. We ve never had a problem. I ve never had a green line driver say no, but a couple of the 57 bus drivers don t like dogs. Just wait for the next one. Places to take her: Back Bay Vets (pricey), Hynes. Brookline Animal Hospital (Brookline Center on the Green Line D, or the 66 bus)Angell Memorial, many ways. Also cabs are cheap depending on where you are going from/to. Make sure you mention that you have a dog when you call. Walks: Charles River. Green Line to BU Central, walk over the overpass. Or to Arlington. Fabulous walk. Riverway - Green Line Fenway(D), or St. Mary s(C), or BU Central(B). Wonderful. Reservoir - Reservoir on the Green Line. Newton: Chestnut hill has a huge park. Off Leash parks: Brookline Playgrounds, Brookline Village (D) or Bus 66. Check the Brookline Parks Department website for more, that town has the best off leash parks. Petco: Green Line Lechmere. Brookline Grooming (Expensive brands of pet food): Coolidge Corner on the C line, or Bus 66.Also -- some pet stores will take an order over the phone and send it to you by cab. (Think dog food.) Also investigate Zipcar for times you really need a car.
Duing off-peak hours, non-service dogs are allowed at the discretion of T vehicle operators. Dogs must be properly leashed and are not allowed to annoy riders or take up a seat. For safety and convenience during rush hours, small domestic animals must be carried in lap-sized containers.
You can just google average income and city name and find this yourself very easily. Youc an also look on that city-data.com website.
Route 66 goes most of your way, and its best stretches are in Oklahoma. Library books and online sites can tell you exactly how to follow it and what sites (modern historic) to see. Are you visiting the south or north rim? Along the Interstate, I suggest:1) Cadillac Ranch, just west of Amarillo, TX: 11 tailfin Cadillacs embedded in a wheat field like teeth.2) The barb-wire museum in McLean, TX. Nearby is a steakhouse where you get your 72-oz. steak and all the side dishes trimmings free... if you can eat the whole thing in like an hour.3) The Painted Desert.4) Petrified Forest National Park.5) Tucumcari is a good place to stop for the night. It s in the desert and there are plenty, plenty of motels but it s a smallish town (7000?) so there won t be much congestion or getting lost.6) Maybe an hour west of Tucumcari, where the Interstate crosses the Pecos River, is Santa Rosa, a very nice town for a stop because of the parks based around the river, some swimming ponds, and a 105(?)-foot diving pool ( Big Blue or such). Upstream is a dam, downstream is a hamlet where Coronado stopped to build a bridge.7) Albuquerque has loads to see. I like their Old Town. Petroglyphs National Monument, on its western outskirts, is worth a look. There s a tram on the eastern outskirts, too.8) Acoma, a 1000-year-old town atop a mesa in western NM, is the oldest continually-inhabited U.S. community and open to tourists.Alternatively, you could go/return on a route north of the Interstate, which would take you through the big Indian reservations, the NM big mountains, Bandolier Nat l Monument Santa Fe Glorieta Pass, or perhaps the 4 corners rest stop, Taos, Cimarron National Grassland, and Capulin National Monument (a volcano). Route 666 has its fans. Have a good trip!
Oh, you lucky couple! Go I44 to OKC then take I 40 to Flagstaff. It is a Route 66 trip done on the Interstate system. It is fun. We have done it. You will take in the the Cowboy Hall of Fame in OKC along with some other stuff, Cadillac Ranch near Amarillo and maybe even Palo Duro Canyon, Albuquerque s wonderful attractions, the Painted Desert and lots to do and see in and near Flagstaff which is of course, where you would go a little northward to get to the Grand Canyon. Just remember the chorus of Nat King Cole s famous song:Well it goes through St. Louie, Joplin, MissouriOklahoma City looks mighty pretty. You ll see Amarillo, and Gallup, New MexicoFlagstaff, Arizona, don t forget Winona,Kingsman, Barstow, San Bernardino. You will be doing lines 2 through 4!Have a wonderful time getting your kicks on Route 6 6.
Grand Canyon has awesome sights (was there last week). If you don t find good places along the road at least you know you ll love the Grand Canyon!Hope you have fun!
Cheaper than Phoenix? Not especially. It really depends on the area you choose, compared to the part of Phoenix you are coming from. I think the cities are quite comparable in cost-of-living expenses.By no tax the previous poster means no SALES tax. You pay up the butt in income tax in Oregon because of that. Property tax is more as well. So don t let the sales tax issue fool you. They tax you harder in other ways.
Portland is West Coast cheap; not American cheap. For the west coast, Portland is probably the cheapest big city outside Sacramento, CA. You can find a lot of afforable nice neighborhoods, especially in the SE urban areas and the SW/NW suburbs (Lake Oswego, Hillsboro, Oregon City, etc.) but there are still many expensive areas that may be shocking to Eastern Americans. I hear Phoenix is really cheap for housing, so I m sure you ll notice a bit of an increase in price, not like you d be living in San Diego or on Miami Beach or in the Upper West Side, though.
You just asked a question stating you were moving from sand diego to phoenix. You seem to move around a lot.
Portland is way cheaper, plus there is no tax
