Famous quot;hillquot; (in Signal Hill, I think) with view of the cities? -

I am trying to remember the name and place of this hill that has, I think, telescopes to view the surrounding cities, and I think it has a huge Christmas tree around this time. Like I said, I vaguely heard it is in Signal Hill (I thought it was Signal Hill itself but searching I only got results for the city of Signal Hill).I ask if anyone could give me directions on how to get to it.Thanks

The city of Signal Hill is a hill surrounded by the city of Long Beach. The park is Hilltop Park and they do have telescopes to view the surrounding area. You can see a 360 view of the entire area when the skies are clear. The website below has pictures. The Christmas tree is actually an antennae tower with Christmas lights on it. On VERY clear days I ve been able to see the Hollywood sign and even Griffith Observatory from that park. There is a also a short trail you can walk on that faces Long Beach Airport. Visiting early in the morning is when the views are the best. At night if the smog isn t too bad you can see downtown LA along with all of the other city lights.The address is 2351 Dawson Avenue.

the city of signal hill is on the hill. you can see it from the 405 freeway and sourounding areas within a 7 mile radius. it s not that hard to get to. but yes at the very top of the hill there is a small park with views of all of long beach and has telescopes, not sure about the tree though, but maybe. to get there, just take the 405 freeway. north or south depending on where you are coming from. get off on Temple. like i said you can see the hill from the freeway so just take the exit that is in the direction of the ocean. temple will take you to the to a very steep grade that is on your right. once you get on top of the grade make another right and just follow the main street it will take you to the top.

It depends on your skills and whether you are willing to work below grade level in order to get in with a good company. Nobody is setting the world on fire here, and like the rest of the world, 80% of new hires get in because they knew somebody.In general, people in Cincinnati will do business with you if they knew your parents.

Awful.I can t find a job ANYWHERE.Stores, fast food restraunts, movie theatres or anywhere. Places are not hiring at all. Cincinnati in my opinion should not be a place you should want to relocate too. If I could, I would leave Cincinnati in a heartbeat..I haven t had a job in months.

What are the police like in Portland, OR? -

I am moving to Portland next year and have read mixed opinions on the police presence. Are they fair/unfair, biased towards people of color, issues with 420, likely to harass someone for little reason? Anything helps, thanks.

below is the link for the portland metro police scanner where you can listen to some of the men in blue at work.In my experience the police have been cool with me, but I don t give attitude or bs them either so that may be why. People who are defensive usually get treated worse.

What should I see along the way?I ll be passing through St. Louis, Missori; Kansasa; Denver, Colorado; Utah; and most likely Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as a lot of California. I m going to go via motorcycle and will probably be alone the whole time. What are some fun things to do in these cities, and what are some other fun sites to see along the way? My friends and i were digging and we found a piece of glass that looked as if it come from a saloon window. It was in the shape of a triangle but jagged around the sides. Nearby we found a rock that appeared to have blood on it. My friend thought that it might be a murder weapon. Can you help us figure this out?

Why isnt Plattsburgh NY part of the Adirondack Mountains? -

I used to think when I was younger the Adirondack Mountains extended all the way to the Canada border.But I have discovered the Adirondack Mts. end before Plattsburgh and do not extend to the border.Does anyone know why the Adirondack Mts. don t go all the way to the Canada border? (in NY)

The Adirondack Mountains do extend all the way up to the border. On the Canadian side of the border is the Laurentian Mountains.However Adirondack Park does not extend all the way to the border. And that s probably where your confusion lies.
