How the hell can I get to Ithaca NY? -

I live in Vancouver right now and theres no way in hell my parents would even think about letting me go but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity at an lvy league school with free tuition (assuming I make the team). should i just leave and call them once I m there or should i risk asking them since if they say no they ll know Im trying to get outKeep in mind that my parents are narrowminded african immigrants that have no problem beating me if they don t like what they hear lol

You have two BIG problems.1. You must qualify for a student visa in order to study in the United States.2. You would need to be accepted as a student at the school you want to attend. If you are trying to attend on a sports scholarship, and are accepted the school will assist you with both of those problems.Once you have passed both these hurtles, ask again.

The age of majority is the USA is 18, and I am assuming it might be the same in Canada. If you are old enough and can be financially self-sufficient, then you could consider availing yourself of this opportunity. You will need to be sure you can stay in the USA that long and will have to do any paperwork in advance.Ithaca is gorges!

listen whatever happens if you dont take the opportunity you will regret it for the rest of your life...do what you have to do, if you are successful in school your parents will have to hold their tongues

Which city is better to live in? San Francisco or Los Angeles and why? Pros and Cons of both cities.? -

They are very different cities.San Francisco is in Northern California and tends to be more laid back, more liberal, more hilly, with a higher concentration of people, is closer to more outdoor activities and wine country, and surrounded by water. It is easier to get around San Francisco without a car.Los Angeles is in Southern California and tends to be more superficial, flat, spread out, and has better beaches. A car is pretty much mandatory and traffic can be horrid.

Driving to new york city from binghamton,ny(upstate)where can i park and ride into the city? -

Me and my friends are going to the city for the macys thanksgiving day parade. We live in upstate new york in binghamton.Normally its about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive. But id like to park my car somewhere safe outside of the city(somewhere along the way)and get a train into the city?I need to know this by tomorrow so please answer!Best and quickest answer gets the 10 points.Just please advise along the route of ny-17 or 81 i can park and get a train, also please let me know about how long it takes on the train and how much each round trip ticket costs.

Many years ago, there was a commuter service that offered parking in a lot just off the New Jersey Turnpike west of the Lincoln Tunnel, and transportation into the city by bus for a fixed daily fee. Don t know if that option is still available. If I were doing it today, I would probably park at one of the commuter rail stations north of the City - Poughkeepsie is northernmost option, but there are several options in Westchester County that are closer to the city. Pick a station that is served by MetroNorth rail service (into Grand Central) rather than Amtrak (Penn Station).

Don t even think about driving into the City, because there will be a lot of street closures. There is also a holiday gridlock alert in effect until December 23. Therefore, I would highly recommend parking your car in one of the many parking garages in either Jersey City or Hoboken, NJ and take the PATH train into the City. The links below shows the location of parking garages near PATH Train station in both City.Grove Street Stationhttp://maps.google.com/maps?near=Grove+SExchange Place Stationhttp://maps.google.com/maps?near=ExchangPavonia/Newport Stationhttp://maps.google.com/maps?near=PavoniaHoboken Stationhttp://maps.google.com/maps?near=HobokenJournal SquareParking is available at the Journal Square Transportation Center on two decks through a privately owned parking facility, LAZ Parking. For additional information, please call (201) 216-6744.Once you park your car in either Jersey City or Hoboken, you can take the PATH train into and out of the City. The fare on the PATH is $1.75 each way, pre person.I hope this information was very helpful. Driving south to Orange County: Should I take highway 154 as a short-cut? -

I m driving south on 101 to the LA area. Is it worth it to take the 154 shortcut near Santa Barbara, or is that road full of slow-driving idiots. I know it s 2-lane. Or is it just faster to take 101 along the coast to SB.Thanks

There are no effective short cuts through the Santa Barbara area. Decades of NIMBYism has caused the whole area there to become a traffic nightmare.

Forget the 154 - its a winding country road. It is a beautiful road on a nice day, but it won t get you anywhere fast. If you want to get to LA the fastest stick to the 101.

What is there to see in Austin, Texas? -

My friend and I are taking a trip to Austin, TX this mid-December. We re staying at a friend of his and we should have a car to get around. What is there to see while we re out there?

TONS to see!Of course, it depends on the ages of your group and your common interests but luckily Austin has something for everyone!Maybe you re interested in the world famous 6th Street night life, or the vibrant live music scene or the historic Texas Capitol - or maybe all of it.... See Lady Bird Johnson Lake, and the Capitol Building, and stroll the UT campus. Check out the bats from 1st Street s bridge, visit the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum, canoe down Town Lake, shop the SoCo district. There are numerous galleries and boutiques and Austin is the best place to walk around and take it all in.have a great time, be safe, and enjoy Austin!

What is the best luxery hotel/resort in las vegas? -

grand, special, luxery, beautiful, big, ..has to have all of those ;) thanks!

Vdara opens on 12-2. Wow. saw it on the TV news ... go to the web page

We stayed at Venetian, and I think that fits the bill. It s big and beautiful, one of the classiest resorts on the strip, and really unique. The rooms are all suites - even the standard suite is really nice. The shopping and restaurants at Venetian are fantastic. You can also take a gondola ride, either inside or out, which is neat. Venetian s sister resort is Palazzo, which is adjacent; it s newer and similar to Venetian in terms of style and class. Maybe even a bit nicer since it s so new. Some other classy places on the strip are Wynn/Encore and Bellagio.

The palaces are only available for the big time gamblers. The Palms has specialized suites available for thousands of dollars a night.Portions of ResortsThe highest priced regular rooms are $2k a night, at the MGM SkyloftsThe Tower suites section of the Wynn Las Vegas (less than 300 rooms out of the almost 5000 in the hotel.Highest rated ResortsFour Seasons in Mandalay BayWynn/Encore companion resortsVenetian/Palazzo companion resortsThe BellagioNext highest rated resortsMandalay Bay especially THE Hotel section (best swimming pool)NY/NYMonte CarloParisCeasars PalaceSignature SuitesTreasure IslandPlanet HollywodPalmsGolden NuggetThe BottomImperial PalaceCircus circusRivieraTropicana

The most expensive and poshist is the Four Seasons atop Mandalay Bay. But it is at the most extreme Southern end of the Strip and the rooms are not particularly large unless you go for the Suites. The Venetian, would be my choice. No rooms only suites. Very nice. But, if you go to any of the top luxury hotels and book a suite instead of a room you will be pleased.*

Bellagio its the best hotel ever and it has grand, special, luxury, and its REALLY beautiful i went there on thanksgiving break lol it was really nice and a lot of fun you should go there.

Bellagio hands down!It starts with the musical fountains to the beautiful staircases, all the way to seeing the best show in Las Vegas, O !

Wynn or Venetian, or an extension of either of those....

For grand I would pick the Palazzo or Venetian. They have everything you want.

I d have to say either the Bellagio or Mandalay Bay. The Wynn Hotel caters to people my grandmother s age.

I would have to say Bellagio and Venetian for luxury hands down.

Wynn and Encore are best!

21rst Birthday Weekend in Manhattan, New York What should I do? -

I turn 21 years old the weekend of May 14,2010. I am planning on going to NYC for three days. I just need to know what is the best things I should do. besides Dinner,Shopping,And Site seeing. What is the best Hotel, How far is Grand Central Station, And How much is the fairy, and liberty bell.

go clubbing !!! um..Grand Central station is right in the middle of manhattan.. I don t know what you ment by how far it is. The fairy ? lol you mean the ferry ? Well it depends which ferry you want to go on. There s some free ones. If you mean the ferry to go see Statue of Liberty, that one is cheap. You can get those tickets at Battery Park, they include Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. As far as hotels, there s a lot of good ones. If you re not sure then you can always choose a Hilton. Most of them are awesome. If you re coming from the Grand Central Station, there s a lot of hotels around that area too.Go to the village. It s fun there. There s good bars there, if you re into that. There s a lot of hang out spots, it just depends on what kind of crowd you re going to be with.

there s a FAIRY in manhattan? i ve lived here all my life and i didnt know. what kind of fairy? tooth fairy?and when did Manhattan steal the Liberty bell from philadelphia?!

well the liberty bell is is philadelphia but checking out times square, little italy and china town are my favorite places to go so you should check it out.

The Liberty Bell is in Philadelphia...
