Thats a pretty vague question. I have lived in Austin since 1993 and it is a wonderful town. It is also just 3.5 hours from Dallas and 3 hours from Houston and 1.5 hours from San Antonio. Austin has a low crime rate comparatively to the other two. It has a great university, and many other universities too. From Austin, there are many fine day trips a person can do to enjoy the weekends. It is less humid than Houston, not much hotter than Dallas. It is considered a compact (size) city - You can get from one end to the other in about 40 minutes no matter what - ok except rush hour might add 30 minutes. We also have the largest venture fund in the world, an active angel investment community and a great entrepreneurial spirit. So don t count Austin out.
I think their is more to do in Houston, the beach isn t to far away and they have one of the biggest malls in the country, some parts of Houston have bad crime and it gets insanely hot their in the summer, but Dallas gets boring after awhile and their is nothing around Dallas
Its as simple as this. Who do you consider a better President? George H.W. Bush or George W. Bush? If you like George H. W. Bush move to Houston. If you like George W. Bush move to Dallas. If you like both move to Centerville.....LOL
dallas. houston is awful.
Houston is more fun than Dallas. Dallas is extremely boring.
I prefer Houston over Dallas any day.
Congratulations. Much can depend on your choice of degree and funding options. Below are several sites that rank/compare universities that may be helpful. (Note: Some premium services require site subscriptions.)
AU = paaartaaayy!!!
Then you are looking for the wrong place. Just like D.C., you can be looking at a nice white house one second, and the next second you are in the projects. Texas is full of either old towns or urban sprawls. Since they do not tear down before they develop, everything is thrown together. It is a little prettier in Northern Texas, and the main development is along central Texas. You should move to a smaller Texas city. Our larger cities have nce suburb neighborhoods you might be interested in. Somewhere outside of San Antonio or Austin may be nice. If you want conservative to the T Abilene may be nice.
You might want to try out San Antonio,TX.It`s very beautiful and we have the San Antonio River Walk.We have many beautiful sites here in Texas. I hope y`all move here!I also want to say that we have a suburban side and down town which are very beautiful.
Smaller cities north of Interstate 10 would be well worth looking at. San Marcos, Tyler, Kerrville...all are pleasant, small cities. Look at a Texas map, pick out a few cities, and start doing your internet homework!Good luck!
Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, and are great in San Antonio. The high school is considered the best!
you might want to look at sugarland, texas. it is in the suburbs of houston
Georgio s pizza on Main St. in Carver is good:http://www.georgios-pizza.com/
McDonalds..duh
dont know where that is
http://www.plantationhomes.com/map.aspx/Haven t heard anything negative. Would contact the Better Business Bureau to check their standing. Look in neighborhoods where you can see partially constructed homes to get a better view. In Houston, it seems every 1 out of 3 homes eventually has foundation problems. Get a solid backed warranty before you sign the dotted line. Happy home hunting.Welcome to Yahoo Answers
they are nice and kind of pricey
Don`t take the train LOL
Depends on whether you want to take the I-24 or the TN-12 north from Nashville. Google maps says the 24 is quicker at 1 hour 27. The other way is 1 hour 51.It s about 85 miles.
Pros: Weather- I am still in my shorts.Beaches- There s a group of people from my college that are going to make the 15 minute drive to the beach to see the meteor showerCons:Sprawl- Tampa is essentially a large suburb, as is Jacksonville.Old People- Now I understand where all the old people from back up north went. There are SO MANY OF THEM.
Great weather lots of beachesgreat place to partylots to docon: hurricanes alligators bugs
because ur mom hasnt been with anyone in florida yet... she likes to try different men.... like for example im gunna be in florida so she will prolly end up with me first!!!
If you can handle camping out at +10 degrees then the cheapest way to do it is to pitch your tent at Mather Campground in the Park or you could camp for free in the Kaibab National Forest which abuts the ParkIf you re gonna use the Kaibab NF makes sure that you have a DeLorme Road Atlas and Gazetteer with you so you don t get lost and at the very least a high ground clearance vehicle so you don t get hung -up on unseen rocks or logs A 4x4 isn t a bad idea either But it s not totally necessaryhttp://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/cgStay warm
Staying at the Grand Canyon is going to be very expensive.
I have been here for about three months, just outside of dallas. The weather is very unpredictable. There are no hills or mountains, just flat land. The people here seem to be a mix between ignorant and unintelligent. Everyone carries a gun on their hip which is a good thing that causes crime to be very low. Honestly what I have seen so far has been kind of disappointing. If I were you I wouldn t move here. Hope my honesty helps!
Shar, as you get closer to your move, come down and visit. It s difficult for anyone to really answer your question since we don t know your priorities. Do you want to live in the heart of town? Do you want to save money, but live close to Atlanta? Do you like the suburbs?I have no doubt that you ll find several areas that would appeal to you and your sister. Atlanta is filled with a variety of neighborhoods and ethnicities - pretty much a city that appeals to many. When you visit, you ll get a good idea of what part of town suits your needs.
Anywhere north of Atlanta (the 285 by-pass). If you are looking for hip close to the 285 by-pass on north side.
The space needle or walmart, really walmart has Seattle souvenirs at least the ones in Bonneylake and Federal Way do!
In Seattle at a souvenir shop.
Excellent. And you can go to the beach in the winter. We go every year between Christmas and New Years and it s fantastic - many times we are the only ones on the beach!Charlotte is a nice city - a lot to do there. You may want to check out Carowinds this summer. Great fun!!http://www.carowinds.com/
Yes, North Caroline is a very nice state. It has great mountains, and you can go to the beach, not in winter of course.
