Queen Anne is a very lovely neighborhood, lots of shops, restaurants, and parks nearby. Beautiful view...but that is because the area is HILLS...so be aware that walking may be considerable exercise in some areas. The public transportation is good. It is very convenient to the Seattle Center so lots of live theater, opera, sporting events, etc. Some of the area is yuppies, some areas are long term residents of the retired variety. There are a number of retirement communities like Queen Anne Manor (hosts a farmers market 2x a month), Bayview Retirement, Horizon House, Viewpoint, etc. If you check their addresses against your proposed location, you will find out whether you are in their neighborhood. If you are interested in the history of the neighborhood, seehttp://www.historylink.org/essays/outputIt is a beautiful time to visit Seattle, daffodils in bloom, tulips about to open, rhododendrons and lilacs next...so it is a great time to come take a look.

Queen Anne, near Lake Union and also within site of the Needle - whats it like, please? -
We are newly retired and looking for a place to move to. Some realtor has a condo for us in this area. Is it worth our while to fly over there to look? Is it a nice neighborhood for a retired couple? What shops might be within walking distance - one or two miles? How is public transportation? Are there any coffee shops or eat-in delis where old fogies hang out? We know the cost of living is high, but we are in the NY area, and used to that. We don t like the heat and the snow and like rain.

What is the average cost of utilities in San Fernando California? -
Planning on moving to So Cal, and this area seems to be the best place for me. Just wondering what the average cost of utilities is and if there are any fairly descent apartments for 3 in the area or close by.
utilities will be around 80-100 dollar a month. monthly rent for decent 2 bedrooms usually starts from 1000-1500 dollars. check craig s lists and local listings.
What shoes should I wear in NYC? -
So i love going to nyc, i go there all the time and i always have the problem with shoes. I am an obsessed runner so i always end up wearing my old running shoes around the city with long jeans to kind of hide them. I can never find any comfortable, affordable yet incredibly fashionable-functional shoes for those long walks through manhattan. And what kind of bag should i carry with me? I love some of the bags i see around like on Canal St. and at the South street sea port, im not too picky but i know some of those knock-off bags would get me scoffed at. Are there any brand-less or affordable purses around the city? Not sure what to do about the shoes or Bag
well there; s cute bags everywhere, just go for ones without brand names on them if you thinkpeople will know they re kockoffs (chances are they won t!). but as for shoes, i have the same problem, i never know what shoes to wear.i have soe reallly cute heels but who wants to walk around manhattan in 4 inch heels. i usually just wear some funky sneakers or now that it s cold out boots are perfect! try all those discount shoe places by penn station, they have some really cute and very affordable shoes!
