Yes, you can do that in Running Springs and Big Bear. When you go up there, you can see MANY turnouts and hills on the way to Big Bear as well as around the town. Listing them would be difficult and tedious. Just keep your eyes open when you get close to Running Springs.You can really have a great time at Alpine Slide or Big Bear Snow Play. Both areas have a Magic Carpet lift which will take you to the top. If you ve ever done high-altitude snow play, you know that you get winded very easily going up the hill with your sled or tube. Frankly, it s worth the $25 to get rides to the top of the hill.
