Why would Trump dis city center so publicly in Las Vegas? -

Why is Donald Trump trying to rain on the City Center with such negative comments? It is obvious that Trump s hotel and tower is not doing anything that he thought it would (he didn t expect to see rooms renting for $89 a night). What could he hope to gain by saying such negative things about MGM city center. Even if he thought it were true, he must know that people are desperate for it to work.

Donald Trump has always been a soar loser. Just read up his track record in Atlantic City and you see what I mean. CityCenter is bad news for Trump International Las Vegas. Vdara, Veer Towers and Mandarin all spell bad news for Trump International as far as the competition goes. If CityCenter decides to rent rooms for $89 /night Trump does not have a choice but to match that or go out of business. Of course the man is pissed and will need another 10 seasons of the Apprentice to feed his family.

Obviously he has some personal grudge. Although in watching the news coverage of the CityCenter opening, I have to say that MGM Mirage president Jim Murren comes across as a rude jerk.That could have something to do with it. Maybe Trump and Murren just don t like each other.

Perhaps The Donald s ego was bruised since his LV Tower was not the success he bragged it would be. Plus he did the same thing when Mirage opened. Some people need to boost their ego by dissing others
