What neighborhoods in the Bronx, NY are bad or dangerous? -

Tell me some or all that are dangerous or not safe? Is Bronxdale in the Bronx a bad area?I m not planning to live there, only work. I have gotten a job interview.

The Bronx is not as bad as it use to be in the 80s, with the exception of certain neighborhoods. Bronxdale is located in the northern section of the Bronx. The area is actually part of the Allerton section of the Bronx, which comprises of Bronxdale, Laconia and OlinvilleGood luck

What are some good quotes about being from boston/being a bostonian? -

And this is good old Boston, The home of the bean and the cod, Where the Lowells talk only to Cabots, And the Cabots talk only to God. From the musical 1776: [Jefferson s wife visits, and they retire behind closed doors] John Adams: Good God, you don t mean... they re not going to...? In the middle of the afternoon? Dr. Benjamin Franklin: Not everybody s from Boston, John! My favorite obscure Tom Lehrer song (The Subway Song, the stops on the Red Line in 1960-something)H is for my alma mater Hah-vahd,C it stands for Central, next stop on the line,K is for the cozy Kendall stationC is Charles that overlooks the brine...P is Park (clears throat) Pahk Street, busy Boston station,W is Washington you see...Put them all together they spell...(HCCKKCC... PW... (sounds like somebody spitting))Which is just about what Boston means to me! -Tom Lehrer

In Philadelphia, who were his parents? ~Mark TwainI have just returned from Boston. It is the only sane thing to do if you find yourself up there. ~Fred AllenA lot of the quotes on this website are pretty negative and cynical.http://www.yourdictionary.com/quotes/bos Boston is a state of mind. ~Attributed to Thomas Gold Appleton. This quotation has also been attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson and Mark Twain.http://www.worldofquotes.com/topic/Bosto The sea returning day by day / Restores the world-wide mart. / So let each dweller on the Bay / Fold Boston in his heart / Till these echoes be choked with snows / Or over the town blue ocean flows. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson Massachusetts has been the wheel within New England, and Boston the wheel within Massachusetts. Boston therefore is often called the hub of the world, since it has been the source and fountain of the ideas that have reared and made America. ~F. B. Zinckle

Find a copy of the poem Boston Is Like No Other Place In The World Only More So by E. B. White. :::evil grin::: If you can appreciate the author s tongue-halfway-in-cheek take on the city and its denizens, it may well furnish you with a good quote or two. For Boston s not a capital, / And Boston s not a place; / Rather I feel that Boston is / The perfect state of grace... For reasons of copyright, I ll say no more. :)(Oh, and to the Tom Lehrer fan - right on!)

Marriage is a damnably serious business, particularly around Boston. John P. Marquand,
