We are visiting PA for the first time to tour Penn State but that will only take a few hours and then we plan to head to the east side of the state because we have friends over there, but we dont necessarily need to have our hotel RIGHT next to their house. We want to stay in a regular hotel, not a resort, but we want to be within a decent distance of some kind of place that will rent us skis or whatnot, because were from the south where we don t get snow...so that s kinda what we were planning on doing while up there. But what else could we do? Is there anything else thats fun to do in PA? Thanks =]
Camelback is the first place to come to mind, but here are others:http://www.townliving.com/recreation/skiBear Creek Mountain is closer to Allentown- bcmountainresort.comAs far as other things to do: Martin Guitar ( Nazareth, Pa) gives free tours, Crayola Factory in Easton is nice if you have kids, There are outlets in Reading, and if you want to travel a little farther- Lancaster ( Amish, trains, outlets, and more) Hershey s Chocolate World in Hershey, and also Philadelphia and New York City aren t too faryou could check out fieldtrip.com to find more places -- http://www.fieldtrip.com/pa/free-pa.htmI m sure your friends that you are visiting can also recommend other places, as well hope this helps!
