What is the best time in the morning to drive to La and then come back? -

I live in Irvine using only 405 freeway. I plan to go at 7am and then drop something off and then return home right away using 405 S freeway.

if you are trying to get to DOWNTOWN LA you wont get there on the 405 becaauseit doest go to DOWNTOWN it Bypass downtown thats why its call the 405 (the 4 means it by passesthe downtown slotyou would have to take the 5 go into downtown LAbut now if you were going to West Los Angeles then yes you can could takee 405

405? Bzzzzzt! Wrong answer, thanks for playing, here s Johnny to tell you about your parting gifts.Know why they call it the 405? Because you go 4 o 5 miles per hour!Where in LA do you need to go? I-5 is generally faster. You have MANY chokepoints on the 405. At 7AM, both 4 and 405 will be crowded. Best time? 5AM at the latest, or after 10:30. Ever thought of taking Metrolink? MUCH easier. You go straight from Irvine to Union Station, and you can catch the Red Line Subway if you need to go downtown (free with metrolink ticket).

Wow, this will be an all-day task. Leaving your place at 7am you would just hit traffic, and be in the worst of it coming back. My suggestion- do it the night before after 8pm, or in the morning before 5am. Not even joking. I used to live in Long Beach and took the 405 each day, traffic was from 6:30am-8pm.

If you must use the 405 freeway, I suggest that you leave LA between 10:15 a.m. and 2:30 pm.

Question about visiting museums..? -

Okay, dumb question, BUT when you want to go visit a museum, do you have to pay to reserve a tour or can you just walk in and look around yourself? Thanks.

As an educator, my experience is that most museums allow you just to walk in and browse at your leisure. Some charge admission (like Henry Ford Museum Greenfield Village) and some do not (like the Toledo Museum of Art or the Natural History Museum at U of M...however a donation is generally appreciated).I suggest you visit the museum s web site for details.

It depends on the Museum. The ones in the city of Detroit usually have fees, even the DIA. Once you pay the fee you can walk around at your leisure. If you would like a tour, you have to pay an extra fee (usually). The tours usually come in two types, a sound tour (they give you headphones that tell you about the paintings) which you can do at your leisure or they can do one with a tour guide. It comes down to the museum which you are thinking about visiting. I suggest you look up their website and either call them or find the information about admission.

While it depends on the museum most allow you to just walk in (after paying admission if applicable) and look around by yourself. Most museums are designed so that an individual can wander around the exhibits and take their time with things that interest them. Some museums offer specialized tours to individuals or groups at an additional cost and some even have free tours at various times. These tours are generally optional.

Depends on the museum ... At the DIA you can just walk around, but if you are looking for a guided tour they have a couple of options. One is to schedule a live human docent to walk you through the place. This is best if you have a small group of 10 or so. Two, I believe the DIA has headsets you can rent. When you approach an exhibit hot spot the recorded docent tells you about what you are looking at.

Depends if you have a gun or not.

Is North Pole and North Pole, Alaska the same place? -

No. The geographical North Pole is in the Arctic Ocean, under the polar Ice Cap.North Pole, Alaska is a town outside of Fairbanks at least 1000 miles south of the geographical North Pole. They seem to have named their town this to make money off the Santa Clause story.

Haha I always wondered that. I always went to North Pole, Alaska as a kid and went to the Santas Workshop with the reindeer outside.

No. North Pole, Alaska is about 1700 miles from the real North Pole. The real North Pole is in the middle of the Arctic Ocean.

yes.

How was the Sunshine skyway bridge built? -

It would be great if you could give me a site where it says so

Construction of the current bridge began in 1982, and the completed bridge was dedicated on February 7, 1987. The new bridge cost $244 million to build, and was opened to traffic on April 20, 1987. It replaced an older bridge constructed in 1954 and partly destroyed in a collision in 1980.It is constructed of steel and concrete. Twenty-one steel cables clad in nine-inch (229 mm) steel tubes along the center line of the bridge support the structure. It was designed by the Figg Muller Engineering Group, and built by the American Bridge Company. In September 1994, an act of Florida Legislature officially named the current bridge the Bob Graham Sunshine Skyway Bridge, after the Governor of Florida and future U.S. Senator who presided over its design and most of its construction. According to sources, he was inspired to suggest the current design by a visit to France, where he saw a similar cable-stayed bridge. The original bridge was dedicated to state engineer William E Dean, as noted on a plaque displayed at the south rest area of the bridge.
