The Park Hopper option allows you to come and go between the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom as much as you want to during the day. Each day you buy (4 days in your case) will have unlimited park hopping. So you can go to Epcot in the morning, back to the hotel for lunch and then to the Magic Kingdom for the afternoon/evening.If you purchase the Base ticket it will allow you to come and go but only with one park. So if you enter Epcot in the morning you can leave and reenter Epcot but you are stuck there.*~*~*~*The Extra Magic Hours are for guests staying at Disney resorts and they allow you to enter the selected park early or stay past closing. You do not NEED a Hopper for this, but keep in mind that if you want to take advantage of the morning EMH that is the park you will be stuck with that park all day. If you want to take advantage of the evening EMH that is the park you need to go to all day.*~*~*~*When you stay at an on-site Disney hotel your tickets are your room key. You will not have two seperate things to keep track of. You also have the option to link a credit card to the room key, so you don t have to carry a credit card with you. Your room key will serve as:1) proof you are a Disney resort guest for EMH 2) your park admission ticket 3) a credit card if you opt to link them.*~*~*~*We always buy the Hopper when we go to Disney. While Epcot and Magic Kingdom can take a full day we have never spent a full day at Hollywood Studios and we spend even less time at Animal Kingdom. I would consider it a waste of a ticket day to go to Animal Kingdom when they open, be done by 11:00 or so and then not do any other parks the rest of the day.
I say get the hopper pass. If you do the emh and you didnt go to that park that day. They wont let you in. Plus if you want to go back to do another rides in one day...you can. My family has always go hoppers even if we were going for 3 days. Get it the hopper. I would!!
If you re only going to be at DW for four days, you will most certainly want to consider getting the parkhopper pass! You can switch parks as often as you like. We always stay onsite, and only once did we not purchase the parkhopper, and then we wished we had!Have a good trip!
you can jump around to all the parks as many times in a day.

yes the park hopper is worth it because you can make the best usage of extra magic hours if staying on-site and you also can use youe time the best way too and go to parks when they are less crowded. You may want to only do animal kingdom for a day since some people dont prefer it if the weather s bad then do like magic kingdom at night when fantasyland is actually accessable and there arent 25748739 kids running freely. And what a park hopper is, is a ticket that enables you to hop to any disney theme park in the same day. the normal ticket will allow you to go to one park per day, and you may want to change it up especially if your there for a while...you like need to. you like really need to get it, or youll be bored to death and wont have as nice of a vacation as you could. and you can switch how many times you want. and for extra magic hours you only need your room key. animal kingdom though lets say may have morning extra magic hours so youll want to go ther but then mgm might have night magic hours, and if you dont have that pass you can go there.
the park hopper allows you to hop back and forth between any and all of the 4 main disney world theme parks (magic kingdom, epcot, hollywood studios, and animal kingdom) as many times as you d like throughout the day. personally i don t think the park hopper option is necessary especially when you have a 4 day ticket cuz you can go to one park each day and just spend the whole day there instead of wasting time you could have in the park to travel between the parks cuz it can easily take 30 minutes to exit one park, get to the next park, and enter that park. your room key IS also your park ticket and it will have all the days and ticket options you choose loaded onto it so when you go to the park that is what you need to bring. when you take advantage of the extra magic hours thats all you need. you will need it handy cuz in order to get on the rides and attractions you need to show it to the cast member at the ride entrance. (this is to ensure that only disney world hotel guests are getting on rides and not free loading regular guests)
A hopper pass will allow you to hop as many parks per day as you can manage, within the 4 major parks (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Studios). If you are staying at the resorts, in order to do Extra Magic Hours(EMH), you must either have a hopper pass or go to the park offering extra magic hours that day. EX. if Magic Kingdom is open 3 hours beyond closing, you either need to use a day of your one park per day pass that day at MK or have a hopper.Fact to remember:the park offering EMH is usually busier than average during normal park hours.Do your research as far as what the parks offer. 1 day per park is probably not enough to see and do everything, especially on a first trip. But if one park has less attractions that interest you you could do half a day there and half a day in a park that stays open later. Only pay the extra 50 a person if it is a perk you really think you are going to use.
