Where can i get an off the books job in los angeles? -

i know i know lemme guess get a real jpb pay income tax blah blah blah i need to show less income in order to get financial aid so then i can goto college. Im not a hoodloom just trien to cut a corner to go back to college.so dont waste ur time with the pay taxes **** and illegal ****. so neways im moving to LA to goto shcool, what kind of jobs pay cash? where do you look?

Wow! With such poor grammar, and misspelling I just don t see college in you future. Even colleges have some standards.

Employers who pay under the table, often don t pay. They ll have the money next week, they ll pay the full amount later, blah blah blah. And you re not going to report them because you re breaking the law. Chances are these are people that the employee knows, friends of friends. So good luck even finding something if you don t know anyone. CA is super strict about taxes and will go door to door to small businesses to count employees at small businesses. At the kind of jobs you re looking at, you re not really going to be paying much at all in taxes, maybe nothing, anyway. Do the math.

Wow, how many times are you going to ask this? And how many times do we have to tell you there aren t jobs here? There s no sign anywhere that says Under-the-table Jobs HERE . I don t get why you waste our time with these questions here. Most people here are hard-working, honest people. So asking us to support your illegal activities is rather poor form.If you want an off the books job, you stand out in front of Home Depot with all the amigos who are trying to get work. That s how it s done here.

Go to a Home Depot store and join the Hispanic looking men standing around outside. However, likely no one will hire you for day labor as the Hispanic men have a reputaion of being very hard workers that don t complain.

Lots of postings on Craigslist under Gigs or ETC are off the books.

How do you get to union station from the veterans memorial building? -

I m not sure what you mean by the veterans memorial building--never heard of any such building. Do you mean the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (which isn t a building)? Please update your question and be clearer, and then either I or any of the regular contributors will be happy to answer.

Well if you mean the Veterans of Foreign Wars Building (that s the only building I can think of that is sort of what you asked about) it s very easy to just walk to Union Station. The VFW building is at 200 Maryland Ave NE, so from Maryland Ave, turn right onto 2nd st. NE (away from the capitol building). Take a slight left onto Massachusetts Ave. and then you ll see the station. It s probably only a 10 minute walk!

Good places to live in or around Boston? -

Are there any affordable places to live in Boston for a middle class family ($200,000 - $300,000ish homes) that are nice and safe? Any any nice outskirts? :) I m not even sure where to begin to look.

How close to Boston do you want to be? IF you are willing to drive a little bit (or take the T), you can try Littleton or Westford.

I would recommend outskirts... Newton is very safe, it s only about 15 min drive from Boston and it has about two T lines (public transport, Green line) to get to Boston. Very residential. This is the council website http://www.ci.newton.ma.us/

true, newton is safer than say waltham, but it is very expensive and most of the people are stuck up, and the schools are WAY overratedhowever it is very close to Boston

The best place to live is the Noth End in Boston. Hands down it s the best and safest.

west roxbury is inside boston, and very affordable

Is Haleiwa on Oahus North Shore worth visiting? -

I will be traveling to Oahu at the end of February and I was wondering if taking a bus to Haleiwa is worth it? Is there a lot of unique shopping or restaurants there?

I think that Haleiwa is definitely worth the bus trip up. It s my favorite place on Oahu. Shopping is mostly surf shops and a few tourist shops if you want something like that (Dive and Surf is the best surf shop there). As for restaurants, there are a couple really cute place. Ted s bakery is fabulous, they have typical Hawaiian plate lunches but their pies are the best. Also, if you go you have to get shave ice. Matsumoto s is the most famous but Aoki s is right next door and it s just as good and usually has a shorter line. There is also a great thai restaurant in the downtown area, but I don t remember the name- sorry!Aside from the shops and restaurants, you ll be going to one of the most famous surf places in the world. It s so much fun to hang out on the beach and watch the surfers.

One of the best part of taking a bus to Haleiwa is the many beautiful sights you can see along the journey. If you are taking the round the island bus from Ala Moana Shopping Center, it is about 3-4 hours ride for the round. But you will be able to see things as you are not driving! You can also hop on off the bus with one free transfer. Haleiwa is not as modern as the Waikiki area but when surf are up, you will see a lots of people there. Other than that, the shave ice stores are famous and enjoy!

heck yeah! you should do the shark cage thing they have there, not too expensive and way worth your time. also hit up the north shore a little to the east for some killer wave action. the website below has all the info you need.

I would say yes, worth it, try Cholos Mexican restaurant there. Also have a shave ice at Masumotos store.

Lots of surfing on the north shore. Fun to watch
