Specially sweet potato and pecan pie

The best restaurant pecan pies I ve eaten are from Goode Company barbeque. They are having tents in their parking lots Tuesday and Wednesday for drive up service. http://www.goodecompany.comAlso, The Flying Saucer Pie Company literally has people lining up outside their doors at holidays for their pies. Its not a restaurant, but Walmart has Paula Deen ( the TV show person) pies. They are GREAT. 7.50 Baker s Square makes great pies. http://www.bakerssquarerestaurants.com/see if there is one by you

Without knowing where you are, your best bet is probably Baker s Choice . They have a wide selection and are relatively good.

Other than The Smoky Mountains, what are some other neat stops along the way to South Carolina from Indiana?

It sort of depends where you are starting and ending. However, it looks like you are likely to go right through Ashville, NC. If so, you can stop at the Biltmore. Get tickets in advance online (www.biltmore.com) to save money. A tour of just the house will take a couple of hours, although you can spend many hours on the grounds.
