Are there places that does airbrushing for shirts in Sacramento, California? -

i want to customize my shirt of my favorite band

Most malls in the area (Arden Fair, Downtown Plaza) do have either a stand or store that does it. I m pretty sure the store in Arden is upstairs towards the East end. There is a place in Old Sac that does it, but I forget where it is.

I don t remember the name, but I m pretty sure there is place in Old Sac that does t-shirt airbrushing. I m sure the prices are jacked up because it s a tourist trap.

Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant in St. Charles, Missouri for my girlfriend and I? -

My girlfriend and I are traveling to St. Louis on Sunday December 20th and are looking to spend that night in St. Charles. We want a nice upscale dinner that maybe has some festive and romantic aspects. Our price range is $150-$200. Any suggestions? Any suggestions on a hotel as well? Or any other happening in downtown St. Charles that evening? Thanks

I m assuming that you are talking about main street. There are several restraunts on south main such as Louis and Clark, the Vine and the Little Hills Winery. Not every one is open on Sundays for dinner so you may want to check. You might want to look at www.stcharleschristmas.com to see all the festivities that are going on in old town for the Christmas season. One close hotel is the new Embassy Suites that has very nice suites at a reasonable rate. You are also just a few blocks from the Ameristar Casino which has restaurants, entertainment and a hotel too.

I don t know any really upscale restaurants, but if you go into downtown St. Charles, there are so many fun things happening along historic Main Street. There are a ton of cute shops, carolers, people dressed up as holiday characters. It s a lot of fun :) maybe not exactly the fancy romantic setting you re looking for, but it s really cute and I think you d enjoy it. There s a couple restaurants along Main Street as well, such as Lewis and Clark s and the Trailhead Brewing Co, which are both very, very good but not really as high as your price range. Make sure to call ahead and make reservations fast, because a lot of restaurants in downtown St. Charles are crazy on the weekends, especially the two I just mentioned...

The Ameristar Casino has very nice restraunts

This guide with user reviews should give you some ideas

Can you tour a sugar cane field in South Florida? Where? -

Going on a trip to south Florida. Any sugar cane tours. How about cotton? Peanuts?

If you just want to take a ride on a public road that runs through the sugar cane fields, I would suggest the stretch of US Hwy 27 between Clewiston and Moore Haven. There s also State Road 720, which also runs between Clewiston and Moore Haven, but that road gets you further back into the thick of things. Here s a map of the area that shows both 27 and 720... http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m lat=26.7932 There s a Sugarland Tour that operates out of the town of Clewiston. The tour is supposed to take you to a sugar farm, a sugar refinery, and toss in a little bit of local history, too. Here s the link...http://www.clewiston-fl.gov/index.asp?TyI ve never heard of cotton or peanuts grown in South Florida.

Clewiston is billed as the sweetest town in Florida with cane fields all around it. It is in the center of the state on the west side of Lake Okeechobee. If the other link posted by the other person doesn t work, contact the chamber of commerce in Clewiston for a tour. There is also another drive on SR 80 from West Palm Beach west towards Belle Glade that has lots of cane fields. No cotton or peanuts grown in South Florida.

Nice,cheap LA hotels? -

I need a super cheap hotel for 3 days in the middle of all the action. lolis that possible.something nice of course, no grungy nasty hotels.

Remember this rule about hotels / motels. If they re nice they aren t cheap, and if they re cheap, they aren t nice. Accommodations in the middle of the action will be popular and usually in demand, so there is no reason to offer a discount. The rent is whatever the traffic will bare. One problem you may have is that most hotels require the renter to be at least 21 (unchaperoned teens tend to make noise, and damage the rooms). Almost all will also require a credit card.

We see this every day in this forum: Everyone who wants to visit here is looking for cheap/affordable and safe . However, such a place just doesnt exist; the two terms are mutually exclusive. It s all about supply and demand: If it s in SoCal, then it s not going to be cheap to begin with. If it s a safe area, then it s more expensive. And what sort of action are you looking for?Since LA is so spread out, there is no single place that is close to EVERYTHING. Most people who come here tend to stay in Hollywood, Santa Monica, or Anaheim. In Hollywood, I recommend the Orchid Suites, Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, or Holiday Inn Walk of Fame, all near Hollywood and Highland. Another one is the Best Western Sunset Plaza. In Santa Monica, the Holiday Inn Santa Monica is close to the pier and reasonably priced. In Anaheim, I recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) Anaheim, and the Candy Cane Inn. There is also a nice place in Burbank called the Best Western Media Center, very close to Warner, NBC, and Universal Studios.

STAY hotel is in downtown. Its a really neat mix of a hostel and a hotel. This is really cheap and clean, I was really surprise. Google STAY in LA and see the pictures by yourself, I was really surprise how cheap it wasfor the quality. It is on main street in downtown, walking distance from most places in downtown, great clubs around the corner. Few blocks away is a really sketchy, but you ll have to get use to it.Its definitely a little better than what you will pay for.STAY HOTEL IN LOS ANGELES

Super cheap usually means grungy nasty hotels.Plus, the action is within a 50 mile radius so you kind of have to be specific as to where. Also, it s December. The hotels are going to be REALLY EXPENSIVE because many people want to come to LA at this time of the year. And, you have to be 18+ anyway.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Moving from Ireland to Los Angeles? -

in summer 2011 me and my family of are planning on moving to los angeles, ca. we have been there before and have viewed some houses and decided it would be a nice place to live. What are the steps we have to take to move?Saleeya, 15, Dublinbtw. if this helps, my mother is working with an awesomsome ghost writer and some other writers on a series of books called confessions of... so that could earn her an extra few bucks. my dad is a carpenter and a drummer as well if it makes any difference..I want a plan, not criticism! Tell me IF theres a way!

First you have to get a visa to allow you to move to the USA. Unless your mother has a corporate sponsor willing to file for a visa for her, it is very difficult to get such a visa.A carpenter/drummer is not sufficiently skilled to get a work visa. He would have to be a stay at home dad as only your mother would be covered by the work visa. Thus, until you have a visa arranged and we know where her work place in LA will be, there is no point in planning further. And if she does get a media company to sponsor her, they will have people that will arrange everything else.

Kelly, well you have a lot of time to work up a good plan. I would check with the US Embassy. Since the people who hang around this site already live here, I m not sure that many know about moving here from somewhere else. A lot of us are natives, more or less. I have seen a lot of people say that getting employed or working here is restricted, some how....but you can probably get a free armful of bouchers from the US State Department and at least start working on your plan. Good Luck !!!

You need to be sponsored for a job. Stop wasting your time on Yahoo Answers and put your Resume on Monster.comAnything less than a Bachelor s Degree in Medical, Engineering, IT, etc is worthless and you will not be eligible to be sponsored. Struggling Authors don t count.

Most people who ask this question are unprepared, unrealistic, with no money, no experience, no skills, (no visa), and no plan.If you are outside the United States, you will need a visa. The nice folks in the immigration forum can help you with that.Next, you need a plan: First item on the agenda is rent. A decent 2BR apartment in LA currently goes for $1600, give or take. Nicer areas and areas closer to the beach are much higher. Don t expect to move to Santa Monica and get an apartment on the beach for that much. Or Toluca Lake, or Beverly Hills. Next, you will need a car. Los Angeles is VERY spread out, and train service is extremely limited. If you don t have a car, you will have to take a bus, which takes 3 times longer to get anywhere than a car. All told, it generally takes about $4,000 per month to live here. If you don t have a job that pays that much or skills that can get you that kind of job, stay where you are. If you are unskilled and work for minimum wage (or for tips like bartending or waiting tables), you ll only make about $1200 per month. And speaking of jobs, they are rather hard to come by now. College grads seeking employment are having a very tough time of it right now, since the job market is flooded with experienced people who were laid off. Unemployment is over 12% right now. Not exactly the kind of job market you want to move into. Finally, you will need money. Landlords want first month s rent and a security deposit up front. You ll need money for food, transportation, utilities, etc. The consensus in this forum is that you need about $10,000 to start out if you are coming from out of the country. So there s your plan. And please don t tell us that you have dreams of being an actor or singer. That sets off another alarm. We already have a million (literally) wannabe actors in this town. Dont even get me started.

Im going to jacksonville FL from los angeles area? -

im going to jacksonville FL and just wanna ask 4 advise1.i was there one time in jan and that was a good month but when in the year is also a good time to visit 2.is burbank ca a good airport to fly from as far as price gose ?or LAX cheaper?thanks

Can t really advise you as to airports (tho might try Travelocity to do price compares.) An excellent time of year to visit Jacksonville is late April/early May...there s usually little of the way of severe weather and the summer heat/mugginess hasn t yet set in. Additionally, that period usually has a lot of festivals going on (JAX Jazz Fest, Swinging the Blues, Official opening of the beaches, International festival, etc.)

Whats a nice romantic getaway not too far from the chicagoland area to take your wife for Christmas? -

i am looking for a nice hotel/resort to take my wife for a Christmas gift. we like nice hotel rooms with whirlpools if possible. looking at a place where we would be in easy access to shows or anything nice to take your wife during the day. also a place that offers nice spa treatments.

I would try the Lake Geneva area of Wisconsin - easy 1- 1 1/2 hour drive depending on where you are.http://www.lakegenevawi.com/

What kind of coat should I take to nyc in december to stay warm during the day/night? I live in TX? -

I don t know what to take!

Temperatures in New York City can range in the 30 s during December. Take a warm winter coat such as a down coat or wool coat if you have one, or a long jacket. Take a cardigan or sweater as well in case it gets colder. Hat, if you have one. Gloves. Warm socks. Comfortable walking shoes. Here is a guide to some of the more beautiful and inexpensive things to see and a guide to our public transportation:http://www.associatedcontent.com/articlehttp://www.associatedcontent.com/article

something really warm! i was there in april, which is the end of winter and i was freezing as i had come from a very warm climate. i found myself wearing overcoats and tench coats everyday with heaps of layers underneath, so if your goin gin winter something warmer like a ski jacket? or something thats fleecy lined or has down in it. hope this is helpful

If your hanging out in the city then I would suggest a very warm jacket like a Northface. I am from nyc and I can tell you that the breezes that come off the rivers can be very very cold

A heavy winter coat will do. It can get really cold in NYC in December.Good luck

Northface.....there good
