Are there any fun attractions in Torrance, CA.? -

Im going there tomorrow and i want to know whats fun to do there. Thanks!

Mulligans on Sepulveda Bl is fun, the Del AMo Mall has movies and bowling, and Just west is the Redondo Beach Pier at the end of Torrance Bl. Downstairs at the Pier is the Fun Factory.

Nothing in Torrance, really. There are literally hundreds of things to do here in LA. Here is my list of must sees. Visit as many as you have time for.:Disneyland: The Happiest Place on Earth. Half a billion visitors cant be wrong. #1 Destination. Universal Studios: A theme park that grew out of a studio tour. #2 Destination.Even if you dont visit Disneyland or Universal Studios Tour, Downtown Disney District and Universal City Walk are very fun places to visit for shopping and eating. And theyre free to visit. Hollywood: Enjoy the Walk of Fame, Entertainment Museum, Chinese Theatre and more. You can see a lot for free. The Hollywood Highland complex has lots of shops and restaurants, and the Kodak Theater. The El Capitan theater, right across the street, is where Disney shows their movies. And the Hollywood Bowl is a GREAT place to listen to concerts outdoors. Olvera Street/Union Station: Olvera Street is the birthplace of LA, and it emphasizes our Mexican heritage. In addition to the Avila Adobe (oldest building in LA), you can eat at some pretty good Mexican Restaurants, do a little shopping, and taste a churro. If you dont want to go to Tijuana, this is as close as it gets without going there. Union Station has great architecture from a bygone age. Also, you are 2 blocks from Phillippes (see below).Rodeo Drive, 90210: Packed with exclusive shops, full of gawkers. They all came to enjoy the excess. Free, unless you intend to buy something.Venice Beach: Los Angeles kitsch and over-the-top culture at its best. Here you ll find Muscle Beach, street performers and tacky shops galore. Fun, VERY interesting, but I avoid it after dark, when it gets a little TOO interesting for my taste. Santa Monica: Beach and Pier: Great beach scene and a classic seaside amusement park, complete with antique carousel that has been in a lot of TV and movies. After visiting the pier, you can ride a bike south a couple miles to Venice Beach. Sunset Boulevard began as a route between the stars posh neighborhoods and the Hollywood studios. It runs from downtown to the ocean, passing through the Sunset Strip on its way.Farmers Market and The Grove - A new shopping complex right next to a Los Angeles landmark, It is right next to CBS, so walk across the lot to see if they are taping The Price is Right . You might even get in.Griffith Park - Home of the Los Angeles Zoo, Griffith Park Observatory, Travel Town, the Greek Theatre, and Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage.Getty Museum - The Getty s architecture is so beautiful that it keeps me fascinated. No matter whether you like their art, architecture, or view better, the Getty is sure to please. Free.Attend a TV taping - You can get free tickets at audiencesunlimited.com, tvtix.com, or see the booth at Universal City walk. It s very interesting to see a show being taped. The most popular, by far, is the Tonight show. Check the NBC web site for all the details there.Places to eat:In-N-Out Burger: Multiple locations, best burger in LA, ask anyone.Pinks Hot Dogs: 709 N. La Brea, just north of Melrose. You might even see a celebrity. Maybe.Tommys Chili Burgers: Look for the shack, an LA tradition. The original location is at Beverly Rampart, a couple miles west of downtown.Canters Deli: 419 N. Fairfax, between Beverly Melrose. Near CBS, you might spot a celebrity.Phillippes: 1001 N. Alameda. Great roast beef sandwiches. Near Union Station and Olvera Street. Watch the mustard, its hot.Titos Tacos: Voted best tacos in LA, even though its in Culver City. The Pantry: Corner of Figueroa and 9th, downtown. Huge portions, they never close, GREAT steak and eggs.Places to Stay:Since LA is so spread out, there is no single place that is close to EVERYTHING. Most people who come here tend to stay in Hollywood, Santa Monica, or Anaheim. In Hollywood, I recommend the Orchid Suites, Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, or Holiday Inn Walk of Fame, all near Hollywood and Highland. Another one is the Best Western Sunset Plaza. In Santa Monica, the Holiday Inn Santa Monica is close to the pier and reasonably priced. In Anaheim, I recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) Anaheim, and the Candy Cane Inn. There is also a nice place in Burbank called the Best Western Media Center, very close to Warner, NBC, and Universal Studios.Places to Shop:Third Street Promenade, Santa MonicaThe Grove, Los AngelesAmericana @ Brand, GlendaleBeverly Center, Los AngelesCitadel Outlets, CommerceBrea Mall, BreaThe Block at Orange, OrangeSouth Coast Plaza, Costa MesaFashion Island, Newport BeachSantee Alley, Los Angeles

It s very close to Long Beach which also has a lot of attractions.

Not much in torrence except the alpine village Your close to a few nice beaches is all

They don t call it Borrance for nothing...LOL.

What kind of lifestyle is uc irvine university? -

You might get better answers in the Los Angeles section. From what I have heard, many of the students there commute from their homes in the Orange County area, and it possibly has the highest % of commuters of all UCs.

Where should I go on South Street in Philadelphia? -

I m going to South Street tomorrow with a group of friends. Where is a GREAT restaurant we could have lunch at? What stores should we definitely go to? Basically, what part of the street is the best?

Depends on what kind of food you like. Two of my favorites are a Greek place and a Middle Eastern place (Arabic, I think). The Greek place is called South Street Souvlaki and is located between 5th and 6th street. The Middle Eastern place is called Alyan s and it s on 4th street just below South. Most of the interesting and funky stores are in the low-numbered streets, starting around 9th or 10th and working your way east (lower numbers) as far as 2nd street or so. Also around 10th and South is Isaiah Zagar s Magic Garden , the studio of mural artist Isaiah Zagar. He is kind of a Philly institution and so is his studio. If you ve never seen his work you should check it out.http://www.philadelphiasmagicgardens.orgThe address is 1020 South Street, so that means it s between 10th and 11th.Once you see his style, you ll get to recognize it and realize you re seeing it on storefronts all over town.

Are you going out, out? like to a bar..if so Fat Tuesdays and McFadden s is good..I went to fat tuesdays on my 21st they have this really good slushi drink that gets you drunk really fast and taste great.there are a few restaurants , i only been to one down there tho ..i never really shopped down there because they re too expensive..

What county in what state would be the best place for me to move? -

I grew up a farm girl who loves to hunt, fish, and care for animals. But I moved to the city to do social work which is my passion. Now that I have experience under my belt I really want to move out to the country again but need to find a new place to do it in. Their needs to be lots of greengage so no texas, arizona, nevada, california, ext. Also it needs to be a very outdoorsy, friendly, old-fashioned place that is at least 2-3 from a mall at least an hour from a walmart. Does anyone know where a place (please at least a county with the state) that would be a good fit for me?

Go move to Canada it s easy to gain citizenship their.

tennesse? some where around lakeland??? idk all parts of tennennsse are different?ohio?mississippi somewhere?

Canadian driving an americant vehicle in the USA? -

My fiancee got into a terrible accident and broke his legs, and now I have to go down to the USA and drive his vehicle with a UHAUL across several states because he is unable to. What are the laws about this? I have a BC drivers liscence and would like to do everything legit. there is nobody else able to do this for him but me.

What is an american t vehicle ? The only issue will be him adding you to the insurance policy he needs to operate the vehicle. As long as you have a valid, unrestricted license you can drive in the US. Have your fiancee contact his insurance company (unless you are already in the policy) and have you added. There will probably bee an additional cost that needs to be sorted. You should then be fine.Good luck with the haul and I hope your fiancee heals well and soon!Have a Merry Christmas and Excellent New Year!

No problem as long as you have a release from him to transport it. That s just a matter of a written letter with a witness signature. As for taking it back across the border as long as it has BC plates you can do it. Check with the provincial police to be sure.

No problem. Just do it. Your Canadian license is valid in the USA. If he is with you, there is no problem about permission either. But you do need a passport to enter the USA.

Seattle, what is there to do at this hour? -

?????????????????

You re in the west coast, so it isn t too late to fix your night.First: Go down town.Second: Score some angel dust.Third: Take it, go down to the park, and try to find a retarded kid and/or gorilla.Fourth: I guarantee you that within fifteen minutes the retarded kid will be a gorille.Fifth: Promptly forget this fact. You are now hanging out with a Gorilla. You ask the Gorilla So what chu want? Sixth: The gorilla says in your ear I wan get ****** up man. I wanna get ****** up. And so you take the gorilla back to your house, and all you have there to get ****** up on is more PCP.Seventh: Give the gorilla the PCP. Much to your dismay, the gorilla starts getting rowdy and destroys all of your dishes. When your girlfriend comes back, this incident will cause you to not get any for awhile. Sucks, but what else can a PCP-addled-gorilla do?Seventh: Tell the gorilla that you all have to leave, and ask him what to do. He says I wanna get more ****** up. ****, I know where we can get more ****** up, so we went down to this bar i go to a lot.Eigth: He went really well there, because he was making friends with the bartender and all and getting all sorts of free drinks. Eventually he got really smached and picked a fight with a dude. But he got totally beat down and the cops came.Ninth: The gorilla (pssst, it is a retarded kid) tells the cops what happened, and then you go to jail.Tenth: Lament about the loss of your girlfriend s sweet, artificially enhanced breasts.
