I am moving to Colorado next year and I was wondering...? -

I am kind of scared. I am excited about it but...anyone have snow experience? Driving in it? Living in it? Working in it? I love the cold and the snow but I live in Texas at the moment and I know it will be a change. So is there any advice you can give to prepare me? or put me at ease? or is it something you just have to get used to?Thanks

As Charlie said, driving in fresh snow isn t bad, its the packed icy stuff that s tricky. Since we are used to snow here, everything usually keeps going as usual, our plows do a decent job, most stores/schools/offices stay open unless its a blizzard that is accumulating feet. Most people here love the snow, otherwise they wouldn t be here ;) I would suggest taking a driving course if you are really concerned about it, Master Drive is a great school around here that teaches you how to drive in the elements. As for living here, snow sports are really fun if you are interested in trying a few...skiing, snowboarding, tubing, sledding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice skating...

i live in Colorado. and i love the snow! it can be a bit tricky to drive in the snow sometimes.. but maybe that s cause im only 17 lol. but just make sure you bring warm clothes. and the weather here changes ALOT! one day it could be snowing. the next day its 70 degrees out side. its crazy but it keeps things exciting. i think you will like it alot here in Colorado!

Driving on fresh snow is not bad...driving on packed snow and on ice are the problem.either sign up at a driving school or get a friend with experience to teach you when you get there.

Where in Colorado ? Parts of the state gets snow measured in feet. Metro Denver in inches.

If you live in or near seattle WA....? -

approximately how many days of the week is it not sunny. like, cloudy or rainy or snowing

Seven. LOL! Seriously it rains a lot and like the last person said, if the weather is a concern, move somewhere else.

Well it depends the type of year. Like most places there are things called seasons. Seasons are periods in the year where the weather tends to change. The current season in Seattle, Washington is Autumn. Here the city tends to experience large storms that stay for a matter of days then move on, usually bringing a brief period of clearing. The next season is Winter. Seattle usually has unpredictable weather this time of year. Usually there are cool temperatures reported by many people living in the area. There tends to be at least some snow, but mostly rain.Get where I m going?

Will, though snide, is correct. Seattle has very fairly distinct seasons. Contrary to popular myth it doesn t rain all the time. Our summers are fantastic--high temperatures with ocean breezes. During the winter, however, we get drizzly rain that can stay for weeks. Seattle doesn t even make it to the top 10 wettest cities. We get minimal rain that lasts for days, which is where the rep comes from. We rarely get torrential downpours, but they happen. You can look forward to overcast skies, drizzle, and slushy snow for the next few months.

It usually rains/snows A LOT in the winter but actually right now it s pretty sunny. Which I dont like, I like snow :)But for a typical winter maybe 5 days a week? lol it really depends though. But during the summer it can get pretty hot too. Like another person said we have distinct seasons

its sunny from about june to september then it starts getting cold and rainy it usually stars snowing around thanksgiving the snow dissapears around end of feb

usually, especially around this time of year, four or five times a week. in fact, it s supposed to snow next week!

If the weather is a concern, don t move here.

Does SOBs in NYC card at the door? -

If anyone has been to SOBs in New York City before, did they card at the door? If so, do you know if they take fake ids? Thanks!

You can get in at 18, unless the flyer says 21+. They run IDs through a machine, it s a bad idea to be using one and get caught. Only ones that work is if you use an existing id (like your sibling s) I ve gone there when I was 19 for basement bhangra. You can call them the day before and ask them the entrance age to be sure.

No place accepts Fake ID s and it is 18 and older to get in.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?
