Hello, I m from the North Bay of California and I ve hardly seen any snow in my 16 years of living. I would like to go to Tahoe this winter and see snow and experience it. How snowy is it in Reno? The snowfall?
Current predictions, which have been influenced by the El Ni?o, show it will be warmer than average for that region during the early winter. The Climate Prediction Center website (http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/) will give you a rough idea of the weather conditions you can expect in the next few months. Check out their three month outlook. They also have a lot of other cool stuff too.
That s a hell of an age to get to without seeing snow. The snow in Reno is mainly white in color and is usually found on the ground after falling. As far as is it as snowy as they say I can not tell you, because I have never heard themsay just how snowy it is. But......it can sometimes have snow fall.
If you are going to Tahoe, you will have a better chance of seeing snow than in Reno. We have already had a little snowfall in Tahoe, but it doesn t really start until January. As for the averages, try this site: http://www.weather.com/weather/wxclimato
Not sure but I didn t see any snow until I was about 19 lol
