The Ski Resort / Mount Charleston Lodge? -

Hey guys, since I finally managed to get a job, I been thinking what I m gonna do this Christmas Season for my really close friend. Was thinking about taking her up the Mount Charleston. But I m a bit confused. If I google Mount Charleston Lodge it brings me to a Mount Charleston . . . . Lodge, not a Ski Resort. If I Google Mount Charleston Ski Resort It brings up a Ski Resort, but problem is, I m not planning on a overnight Stay Up at the Mountain, and I found nothing in the way of restauraunts. So, have two questions:Is the Lodge NEAR the Ski Resort? If not, does the Ski Resort have something like a restauraunt / rest building / something where we can escape from the Cold (She s been in a Warm Humid Climate her whole life, heh)TIA.

What is life around Cheyenne, Wyoming like? -

1. Does it snow a lot? Does it hang around all winter?2. Do you have spells of Chinook winds in the winter, for how long and avg. temp?3. Do I need an 4wd car or will a snowmobile do fine? If they are street legal.4. Is there reliable High-speed internet?5. Are Wyoming people fairly Libertarian?6. Are people pretty much laid-back? If you ain t botherin me I ain t botherin you? 7. I know Wyoming is gun friendly, but do people commonly hip carry pistols openly (non-concealed)?8. How late can you buy alcohol in a store or bar?9. Are people clean or litter bugs?10. How are Surgery Technologist jobs for starting pay and availability?I know that is a lot, but I appreciate it.

1.It snows but it doesn t get deep2. Yes it hangs around all winter3.It windy roughly 92% of the time. If you open a door, the wind holds it open4.Average temp winter: about 15/Summer:725.Snowmobiles are not street legal although there are places to drive them on the side of the road6.You don t need a 4WD because I-80 is so dangerous you could be driving a semi and still be killedAlthough I would recommend a 4WD truck, you could get by with a front wheel drive car with studded or regular snow tires...Snow tires are a softer rubber compound7.It s better to see a cowboy with a handgun openly carried on his belt than some punk kid with a glock in his waistband. The last thing they carry their guns for is for personal protection from people, its more for protection from predators. (Don t try to steal his/her wallet or truck though)8.Alcohol, when i was going to school there it was 2am, its probably 1 now 9.Most people are clean and take care of the place10. Theres some great hospitals in Wyoming, I m sure you could find something, I don t know how much.Attitudes have changed a lot in Wyoming. People are a lot more tolerant and are softening up a bit. And the wind really isn t that bad, it s actually fun, unless you re trying to have a picnic. (Watchout for Yogi:)
