Which washington dc monuments and museums are open sunday? -

my class wants to take a trip to DC, but we wanna go over a sunday... are there any monuments that are open?thanks!

Interestingly, there is only ONE monument in DC: the Washintong Monument. The rest are memorials. It is open on Sunday, though if you want to go to the top, you will want to reserve tickets in advance.http://www.nps.gov/wamo/planyourvisit/feThe memorials are all open on Sunday as they are all outside. All you have to do is walk up! You can go to the mall and see the Vietnam, WW2, Korean memorials as well as the Lincoln Memorial. You can take a peek at the White House. You can walk over to the Jefferson, but it is a bit of a trek. Also, all of the Smithsonian Museums are open 7 days a week (except Christmas).http://www.si.edu/visit/hours.htmI highly recommend the Air Space Museum. The only things I can think of that s closed on Sunday is the Capitol Visitor s Center and the Supreme Court building I also believe is closed.http://www.visitthecapitol.gov/Visit/Have fun!

thanks! Report Abuse

All of the Smithsonian museums and all of the DC monuments memorials are open and accessible on Sundays. The monuments are outdoors, so they are accessible all day. Here is a link to the hours for specific Smithsonian museums: http://www.si.edu/visit/hours.htm

How long does it take to get your state id renewed in philadelphia? -

I need to get my state id renewed and I wanted to know how long it takes

Shouldn t take you more than a few minutes at the DMV. They should give you some form of receipt or proof of the new expiration date until the official one comes in the mail.

Where should i take my next vacation? -

i ve been to salt lake city utahNYC more then oncecanada more then onceflorida more then onceny state more then onceboston more then oncethe bahamas...just got back last nightwhats next..any suggestions?

Hawaii specifically the island of Oahu. you cant beat Lani Kai when it comes to great beaches nor the deep trpoical Hawaiian tan you leave there with. There are tons of jet ski rental spots, one of the better ones is Wakiki Jet Ski Rentals. Right now almost every place in Hawaii is offering great discounts because there have been less visitors than usual this year. And did I mention we have one of the best water parks ever ! Wen N Wild Hawaii. The site below has info about all of the things I mentioned here.

California, Montana, or D.C. are great vacation spots.. You can t really go wrong with San Francisco or Denver... You don t seem to have any mountain areas in your vacation list, and they really do make a trip amazing! Also, I really enjoyed Chattanooga Tennessee.. It s very beautiful Appalachian Mountain city..

The west of course. Youve been up and down the East coast but you ve only seen Salt Lake in the west? Sin... I love Seattle in the summer or the fall when the leaves turn. Californias a lie, all except for San Fran maybe. If you liked SLC you ll really like Denver (less mormons and more fun things to do/see) Alot of good skiing in CO too. For that matter Grand Targhee resort in Idaho is big and not busy in the least most of the time, you could go to Yellowstone in the same trip if you go that way.

Where are you from and what do you enjoy doing/seeing?Seattle is nice, San Francisco is too. What about Arizona? New Orleans maybe? Colorado? What about the UK or Ireland? Do the Swiss or German or Austrian or French Alps sound nice? French Mediterranean? Germany s Black Forest? How about the Roman Baths in Budapest? Maybe rahter than and Australian G Day you may enjoy the Gdansk of Poland?Good gravy there is so much to see and do int the world! How about giving us some constraints within which to work?EDIT:Ok, since you asked in the Honolulu section, Hawaii would be a fine choice, no? or how about the US Virgin Islands? Or South Padre Island, TX. That ll have everything you want I think. If you want to go big, head to Queensland, Australia. A good time will be had by all!

If you want to vacation in the US, give San Francisco a try.If you want to do international, give Italy a try.

Fascinated by the history of the Berlin Wall Germany? Go for Rome or Berlin . Best option http://www.hotels2stay.net/berlin-hotels

lol duker too true

Is there ussually flooding in Honolulu? I mean is there a enough flooding to ruin crops? -

Most of the crops like, pineapples, and coffee, are on higher ground and low laying flood areas mostly affects the traffic, and private residents.

Would you visit Chicago? Why? -

Maybe... if I was going through a cross country road trip thing... but to specifically go just there... no... nothing there interests me... oh and I have family there lol

Have you been to Marco Island, FL in December or live there? -

I m wondering what to expect as far as temperatures? I ve looked it up on temperature charts so I don t need a quote from that because I don t find that it s very accurate. If you live there or vacation there in December I d like to know what to reasonably expect. Thanks.

This year is a bizarre year for temperatures. Truthfully, Florida s winter s fluctuate so often, it s really hard to tell you. It could be 80 degrees one day, followed by a cold front that brings in the 50s/60s the next day. This year, we haven t cooled down yet. At least, not like we usually do by November. I have a feeling this will be a warm winter. Although last year, we had one of our coldest winters. I suggest bringing a sweater and some pants, just in case, but also bring some shorts and flip flops. For the most part, our coldest weather doesn t come till January. And even at that, our highs don t often fall below 55. Night can get chilly. South Florida high usually doesn t fall below the 60s.
