Anybody know of any affordable hotels for 4day stay in NYC!? -

I am looking forward to attending a convention next summer in NYC and it seems most of the tellies in the area are super pricey. Is there anything affordable, say maybe on LI or in NJ?

You re on the right track. Last time we went, we stayed in North Bergen, NJ. We saved a bundle over staying in Manhattan. If you re driving, just make sure you have toll and parking money. If you are planning on riding the subway, try to get close to the NJ Transit line or the P.A.T.H., that s Port Authority Trans Hudson. Here s a Map: http://www.eurohotelguide.com/transport/Have a blast and don t play the 3 card monty.

You could try Priceline or HotWire, if you re willing to pay before you know exactly which hotel you re getting. [And if you re savvy with Priceline; I prefer HotWire.] If you want to be in the city, then you don t want to stay in Jersey or on Long Island, especially. The commute will wear you out. You can t drive, as there s nowhere to park unless you want to pay an arm and a leg and then there goes any savings you thought you had with your hotel. It IS expensive to stay in the City - that s just reality. But people I know have gotten good deals through Priceline.

You can check out he hotels in Jersey City, NJ. Depending on your budget, may I recommend the link below.http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-477673?fGood luck

Okay well i wanna go to school at The University of Wyoming but i am not interested in living in cheyenne, where might their be a cute small town only about 30 to 45 mins away that would work??

U of Wyo is in Laramie. Laramie is a small town.

Yes the University of Wyoming is in LaramieLaramie is the college townMost students live in the town the University is in, unless you are going to a college in CheyenneI prefer living out of town, but around Laramie, there s not really any towns that are close. And Laramie is less than an hour from Cheyenne, so that should be perfect for you.

Live in Laramie since that is where the school is.

Russia

Pine Bluffs, Albin, Burns. I d say Burns would be your best bet. It s only like a 30 min comute

Southwest Airlines Vacation-Disneyland package ? -

Just purchased a southwest airlines vacation package. Never booked a vacation package before and haven t been on a plane in about 8 yrs. My ? s are: I got the airline tickets in the mail today, it states I can check in online, print out a security pass, take that to the airport, but I still need a boarding pass, do I still get through security and can get the boarding pass at the gate or do I have to stand in the long line with all the others before I go through security? 2nd ?. Southwest said all I needed was my Itinerary to check in @ the hotel and to get my disneyland tickets @ will call, when I got my travel docs, there was no itinerary, just the flight tickets, they did, however, email me an itinerary. Am I suppose to get some kind of voucher to check in at the hotel and a voucher to get the disneyland park tickets or is the itinerary okay? Like I said I usually buy my tickets at the AAA store and book the flight and hotel sep., has anyone done a trip like this with southwest? Tks much.

I searched on this site and got the Cheapest Flight, check it out,it also had discount coupon codes for expedia,orbitz,travelocity,kayak,pricelihttp://freetravel4ever.blogspot.com

I book vacation packages all the time. It saves some money.Just to add to what is said above, I would suggest you to print your itinerary before you leave with all contact phone numbers. Have it with you all the time in case something unpredicted would happen. Also keep in mind that you will need to pay extra for every piece of luggage that you re checking in.

how could you get airline tickets in the mailsouthwesnt doenst print them in ther first placethey are the first ones to have eticketsare YOU sure those are AIRline tickets? and not your vochers?one thing is call them isnt that GREAT idea to call southwest vacation and ask themthey should be happy to answer your questions

I always fly southwest when I can. I like them, never a problem. Go online to them 24 hrs before flight time, type in your confirmation code and print what comes up. When you get to the airport you ll find a curbside check in booth. Give them your luggage and your papers. They will give you a boarding pass. Yes, you have to go through security. Be prepared to remove your shoes and coat and carry on luggage for x-rays. Remove watches, keys in pockets etc. and put in tray to be x-rayedand that s it. There are no seat assignments, you will be told you are A B C etc and a number. you get in line and grab the first seat you want. I require a wheel chair and I m 1st on the plane. No food served these days, so take a sandwich and snacks. Drinks are available, free for soft drinks. $5 for beer or wine. They don t take cash. It has to be a credit card..Just take all your papers for check in at Disney and you ll be ok. have a great holiday.
