Easiest way is to use the trip planner. That said... to read the listings for times, just look at the location you re leaving from and the times listed for it (the times under that location will be, well, the times it s at that particular location... to see the train s course/when it hits each stop, just scroll down the same column through all the other locations).Anyway, for a rundown... Take Caltrain (there s a train at 9am and another at 10am) to the 4th Townsend/ San Francisco Caltrain station (end of the line). From there, take the 30 bus outbound (it s at the end of the line, so doesn t really matter, actually) to Laguna St. At Laguna St, transfer to the 28 bus (outbound) which will take you to the bridge. To get back, do the opposite... 28 inbound to Laguna, 30 inbound to 4th and Townsend, then take the train back. Take either the 5:15 (get you back at 6:51) or 6:15 (get you back at 7:51) train back. Just to be safe and make sure you have plenty of time, probably start heading back (on the 28 bus) about an hour before that.
This trip is easier on Sundays than Saturdays. On Sunday, take Caltrain to the San Francisco station (4th Townsend) and switch to Muni Line 76.On Saturday, take Caltrain to San Francisco, switch to Muni Line 30, then transfer at Chestnut Laguna to Line 28.
