Where is the best place to stand in time square for new years? -

My family and I are going to NY for New Years to see the ball drop. Yes I know I will need to sit out there all day in the cold and there will be crowds but I am willing. I want to be part of all the action, so where is the best place to stand? Under the Ball or farther back? Also to stand in front of the performance stage do you have to have tickets?

To even see the bandstand you better be there by noon. You can see the countdown and ball drop from way back into the 50 s( the ball is on 42nd st). The last 15 mins is the whole ball of wax, but take your time exiting, there is no where to go anyway. The crowd mentality becomes almost like a mosh pit. Be careful..it is an experience in life though.

How much money is it to be homeschooled in new york? -

Home schooling means your parent is teaching you instead of you going to school, so it s free.

What to do on a day trip to NYC for college students? -

Im going to NYC for a saturday with some friends. We are in college so we are poor, i need ideas of what to do, where to eat etc. We have done statue of liberty, times square, all the top things, and we have about 8 hours in the city...ideas?

Go to MOMA on 54th street or even go ice skating in Central Park or Rockefeller. The Observatory of the Empire State Building is something you have to do. There s a lot to do outside of Central Manhattan..You can sit in on a late night show taping. Look into getting tickets off their websites. They are free! But do go up fast! The Art Galleries in Chelsea are amazing and very cheap. They are located down on 24th. Located in TriBeCa on Canal Street, the Downtown Boathouse has free kayaking every weeknight and on most weekends-did that once and it was an experience. My friends got laughs and memories out of watching me look like an idiot. Best bet for local transport is get a MetroCard. The MTA has a 1-Day Fun Pass, good for unlimited Subway and Bus rides until 3 am, which costs $7.50. These cards are for individual use only, but this is the cheapest way to get around NYC as a group, if youre planning to visit a lot of places..But because you are college students you can see a broadway show or a even a comedy show for $21-30 bucks. You can order online now or go to TKTS or any of the show tickets boxes. You just need to show your college id.Food wise, I like to hit up the local pizza shops. The pizza is about 4 bucks a slice but the slice is so huge, it looks like half a pizza, haha.Have fun!

The link below can help u. Good luck!

Which city should I go to? (multiple choice)? -

My boss is paying for a course I will be taking next year. It is offered all around the US throughout the year, and I would like to go somewhere new, but can t choose a place! Please explain WHY I should visit the city you choose, and what I should do while I m there. Here are my options, and the time of year it will be:1. Santa Ana, CA in mid July2. Elmhurst, IL in late July3. Fairbanks, AK in late August4. Kalamazoo, MI in late September5. New Orleans, LA in early OctoberThanks!

Fairbanks AK. The best view and pleasant weather. Mississippi is still hot and humid in September and has no view, all flat land. Santa Anna is too hot and too crowded. Elmhurst. I have nothing good to say about Illinois, it is hot and humid in July, and has no view at all, New Orleans would not be bad except for the time of the year, that is hurricane season, and do you really want to be in New Orleans during a hurricane?.

EasyAlaskaYou can go to these other places anytime, fairly cheap. This will probably be your only shot at seeing Alaska ever. Besides the other 4 arent very appealing cities. Ive been to all of themThe next best w/b Santa Ana. You could go to Disneyland anyway.

Alaska because it is absolutely great. (as i heard)I would definatly recomend seeing the national parks theyare gorgeous! Don t miss them!
