Go to MOMA on 54th street or even go ice skating in Central Park or Rockefeller. The Observatory of the Empire State Building is something you have to do. There s a lot to do outside of Central Manhattan..You can sit in on a late night show taping. Look into getting tickets off their websites. They are free! But do go up fast! The Art Galleries in Chelsea are amazing and very cheap. They are located down on 24th. Located in TriBeCa on Canal Street, the Downtown Boathouse has free kayaking every weeknight and on most weekends-did that once and it was an experience. My friends got laughs and memories out of watching me look like an idiot. Best bet for local transport is get a MetroCard. The MTA has a 1-Day Fun Pass, good for unlimited Subway and Bus rides until 3 am, which costs $7.50. These cards are for individual use only, but this is the cheapest way to get around NYC as a group, if youre planning to visit a lot of places..But because you are college students you can see a broadway show or a even a comedy show for $21-30 bucks. You can order online now or go to TKTS or any of the show tickets boxes. You just need to show your college id.Food wise, I like to hit up the local pizza shops. The pizza is about 4 bucks a slice but the slice is so huge, it looks like half a pizza, haha.Have fun!
