Yes there has been several cases of police corruption, and I guarantee you that it still happens todayLook up Rafael Perez and or Nino Durden. Both are former officers who were on the payroll for LA gangs. Suge Knight is also an interesting character because several of his friends whom he grew up with in gangs became LAPD officers and are now in prison. It s one huge spiderweb of deceit which was kept very low profile by the city of LAAs long as our officers come from the same population as you and I, then we will have corrupt officers. GREED GREED and GREED is always the motivation.Read here. And I believe there is a video somewhere on that site.http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/
by friends yes the cops don t like to arrest people if they don t have tothat s the why the chief came up with Community policing its for the officers on their beatsto get to kn the neighborhood they patrol in and if there even a small problem(say illegal dumbing ) an officer can call and get it take care offso they have to make friends with gangs but if the gang is caught with a stolen car or stuffthen they have to arrest them
Probably not. LAPD is one of the less corrupt police agencies in the country.. Saying that: you ll always find a few bad apples in the basket,
Very unlikely.Gangs hate the police.
