Which Dakota is better, North or South? -

I was thinking they are both awesome, but then I was thinking that they were both dumb. Please let me know.

South Dakota has much more to do and has a lot more people in it This is what is in South Dakota that is Good:1. Mount Rushmore2. Crazy Horse Memorial (when finished will be the World s largest monument)3. Sioux Falls - The Biggest City in both the Dakotas with population of Approx. 175,000 people and over 220,000 people in the metropolitian area4. Deadwood- An Old West town that has tons to do5. Badlands- a beautiful area in South Dakota6. Corn Palace - The World s only Palace completely decorated in corn7. Wind Cave National Park 8. The Great Plains Zoo-9. Sturgis Motorcycle Rally- The world s biggest motorcycle rally10. Yankton, South Dakota/Lewis and Clark Lake- A city on the SD-NE border that sits on the shores of the Missouri River and near by Lewis and Clark Lake.North Dakota:1. Dakota Zoo2. Devil s Lake3. Fargo4.Both:1. Black Hills2. Missouri River So in my opinion South Dakota has way more to do and see as; North Dakota is sort of bland and boring.

South. It is warmer and it isn t so unbelievable cold. There is more to do. As far as how people are in North Dakota, the best are Bismark and south. The northern part of the state is really a part of Canada, as it has more Canadians, Canadian flags, and Canadian currency. I can go into a gas station, give them American currency and receive Canadian coins in return. Outside the businesses, there are Canadian flags as well as American flags. They don t do any of that in Canada. Some billboards have Canadian spelling of words, and when you look at license plates of vehicles on the highway, you see more Canadian plates than North Dakota plates. lol. But Canadians are funny people and generally nice. Both states are good places to live, but I think the better in South Dakota, that is where I was born, and where most of my relatives live. I like them both.

South Dakota because it has Mount Rushmore, Rapid City, the badlands, etc. I think there are a lot more attractions there.

North Dakota is cheaper but South Dakota is prettier

South Dakota.Because I live here.Nuff said.

South dakota

North.

South Dakota has more to do and offer.

South, its warmer

both good ,north has the edge at present.

How to move to a different state? -

What is the process of moving states? I currently reside in Indiana and I want to move to Colorado very soon (within a year at best) but I m unsure of the steps. I m still young (19) so would it even be possible at this age?I want to move into an apartment but how do I go about doing that? I know I need to save up the money of course, but how do I know the apartment is right for me without being able to see it?Do I save up enough money to move there and for rent for a few months and THEN find a job or somehow get a job from here? How would I do that? Also, what else would need to be done?Thank you in advance!

There are ways. Go to www.rent.com or www.apartments.com and do a search for the city and state you are interested in. The sites will show photos of the properties with all the amenities and current rents. Once you see a complex that you like, call the local police and ask them how that neighborhood is for crime. To get an idea on gas prices, go to www.gasbuddy .com and search your area of interest. It updates every day. I would figure moving costs and living expenses and save enough to live for at least 6 months AFTER moving expenses and rental deposits.Every newspaper has a website. Do a Yahoo search for the local paper by city and state. There you can look at the want ads.Do a search for your city of interest under Demographics. This way you can get an idea of the population size, racial make up, media age of the the residents, and average income levels.Go to www.webshots.com and do a search for pictures of the area that interests you. It will give you a better picture of the area in your mind.Email some local real estate agents under the pretense of house hunting. Ask them what the safer areas are to look in in your price range.I have family in Denver. It is getting very crowded and built up there. I also have family in Grand Junction. It is smaller, yet good sized and nicer, but is a high desert area, not mountains.

Im going to Disneyland California and Im going on California Screamin and the launch looks really scary so is? -

I been on Space Mountain thousands of time and I dont think its scary 1 little bit

I am SOOOO scared to those kinds of rides. Finally one of my friends dragged me onto California Screamin and it just happens to fast I didn t have time to be scared. I can t wait to go on it again in the spring!

Nah the launch isn t scary. Just really fun. Just remember, before the launch when they re counting down, keep your head back or you ll knock your head on the back of the seat really hard. Try not to look scared when you re being launched cos on your left there might be people watching you! Just enjoy yourself! California Screamin is super fun. [But not as fun as the Tower of Terror. MUAHAHA] Ok, back to the question... no, the launch isn t scary. Sit in front, and have fun at Anaheim!Seriously, you ll love it. Trust me. I went on it 11 times.. IT S FUN! (:

Nah, it s really quite a rush! It s my favorite part of the ride. Or maybe going upside down.Sadly, as I get older, I start to feel queasy on these rides. So get on it and enjoy it as many times as you can, while you can!My youngest wanted to go on it when she was 3. And when she was *just* tall enough (age 6), she went on it over and over again. I ll go on it with her once, but I usually send her through the singles line so she can ride it a few times. Or get a fastpass.

California Screamin is a little wilder than Space Mountain, but it s still nothing compared to what they have at Six Flags. Try it.

Just keep this in mind: You ARE NOT going to die on that ride! And if you scream like a girl, blame it on your cousin :D!!

it s Disneyland, grow UP!it s not like you re going to 6Flags Magic Mountain where the REAL rides are

nope it is not that scarry

Well i orderd some shoes online and it takes 3-5 days to ship when should i get the package? -

i ordered them on thursday morning and it should take 3-5 days

3-5 days as advertised. It is all about how far you are from the shipping point. This normally means business days.

When can I start driving in New York? -

I want to be able to travel all over New Englandmainly to MA, and NH. I m 15 now. how old will i have to be to take a full big road trip like that?

You will have to be 16 to drive in New York State with a learner s permit, which included certain restrictions. Once you turn 18 you re allow to drive with a regular license.Good luck

Usually you have to be eighteen to get a license. I think that you can get a junior license at seventeen if you take driver s ed. That license is not valid in NYC, however.

16 year old to drive in N.Y

Would you drive 12 Hours to spend 2 to 3? -

As someone that appreciates people, I am always up for a road trip. I have a new friend and I am looking forward to paying her a visit. She lives 6 hours away and I am willing to take a ride to see her just to have lunch. Life s short so I Play hard. What are your thoughts?

i more thna likely would go and do that...

absolutely! sounds great to me. my best friend and i once drove 3 and a half hours after work to go eat at a mexican restaurant because we loved the food so much...road trips are great! love them! especially with such a wonderful thing waiting at the end to your roadtrip!

Hell I have driven two homeless people 170 miles when I had nothing else to do and wanted to do a road trip so please, go big.

Hell no. For every hour I drive on a trip (round trip not one way) I have to spend at least twice as long there, so for 12 hours of total driving I would have to stay at least 24 hours.

Like you said life s short so why would you spend 6 hr of you life on a bus or car being bored ..you should passs

Sure i would my friends are like family to me.

Might be worth the trip.If it was someone I liked to spend time with well then it wouldn t be wasted time.

As long as she s ok with it, why not. Otherwise, no way. No matter how good it is.

i think your an upright fellow and i like the way you see life.

life is short...so why not?? but if you have the time and money why not wait and make a whole weekend out of it??

No I wouldn t.

No , I wouldn t.Unless maybe if I were a lesbian and in love with her.

if you are doing it for the right reason.....I m game.

Is Bostons Chinatown safe in the early evening? -

I just got a job that is in Boston s chinatown and I am new to the area. I am female and not used to large cities so I m hoping I can get some insight into this area from people who might know it well. If I get off work around 5 or 6 in the evening, am I safe walking to the T in that area? Also, would you recommend that I use the orange line or the green line (as far as safety is one better than the other)? I ve read some less than pleasant things about chinatown in the past - but I don t know what its like currently. Any insight would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

Chinatown is quite busy at that hour, so it s as safe as any place Downtown. Chinatown is only a couple of blocks long and wide. It gets dicey after the bars close, but you are traveling in rush hour. (The Combat Zone is long gone.)Green v Orange depends where you are going. At 6:00 on a weekday, the Green Line is slow and packed. Orange is faster and packed. I assume you would be going to either Boylston on the Green or Chinatown on the Orange. They are only a block apart. Which stops are you traveling from and to? That makes a difference.

Just watch out around Boylston between Washington and Tremont. There are I believe shelters around there and usually are a bunch of scary lookin people around there. Honestly that is the only section (that exact area) that I have ever felt the slightest threat of any kind (though I am a guy and from ny).For the most part no worries though. Just don t be out too too late, some crackies can come out around the area as most sleep in the park.

You re very safe walking to the T in Chinatown at that hour. As far as whether you take the Orange Line from Chinatown or the Green Line from Boylston, that all depends on where you re going. Both of them are safe.

Don t worry ! Everybody is getting out of work around that time. The better question is how are you gonna get on the train with so many people around you.

yes it is very safe

How do I get to quot;Infinitus 2010quot; without flying? -

As a lot of Harry Potter Fans know Infinitus 2010 is the new Harry Potter conference that is opening in July 2010 in Orlando, Florida where the Harry Potter theme park is. I live in the U.K, and I have a phobia of flying. I just can t do it. I was wondering, is there any way I can get to Infinitus without flying? I know there are luxury cruises around America but are there any cheaper boats to get there?Any suggestion will be most appreciated. Thank you.

There are freighters that can take you across the Atlantic - the New York Times gives gave recommended websites a few years ago:www.freighter-travel.com www.freighterworld.comwww.freighter-travel-review.comBut even the Queen Mary, which goes into New York City, has less expensively priced cabins if you re willing to be in an inside cabin and share. travelcompanions.com or travelchums.com can help you find someone to share with, but there s a fee. You might have luck looking on the Infinitus forums at http://www.hpef.net in the TRAVEL section to see if anyone will travel with you. I m one of the commtitee chairs for Infinitus, and I hope you find a way to get to the event!

Commence your day by having your dinner at Capellini s. If you feel like getting some food, visit the pleasing and flashy Capellini s. This restaurant has the most enticing and de luxe cuisine.

You could go on a ferry, but that would take like a week

Where is the cheapest hotel in Springfield MA or surrounding cities? -

I will be staying in Springfield MA this week fri, sat leaving Sun.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

To Name a few you can go for cheap hotels Hotel Bedford Travelodge , Boston Hotel Best Western Lord Wakefield , Boston Hotel Marriott Long Wharf , Boston . If you want to go for more lis of hotels at discount rates you can preferably go for Hotels2stay. i always make my bookings through them . hope it benefits you too ..http://www.hotels2stay.net/world/usa/masHave alovely time !!!

Which months out of the year does it snow in New York? -

It can snow anytime between the middle of October to the Beginning of May.Usually, the worst storms hit NYC in December, January, February and early March. For instance, the storm in 1993 hit in March, and the blizzard of 96 hit us in January. We ve also had snowstorms on or near Easter, on Thanksgiving, Valentine s day, ect.

In Upstate NY, it can snow anytime from November through April. Every now and then, there is some snow in October and May as well. In 1987 we had a freak snowstorm in early October that knocked down trees and power lines. Many communities were without power for a week or more. And I remember one year in the mid-70 s we had some snow on Mother s Day.

We don t really get a lot of snow here. when we do, it is cleaned up pretty rapidly so that it is not a great issue. The time period where it is most likely to fall is about mid-January to mid-March.

Usually January to early April, when the weather is a lot colder.Good luck

christmas- right before Easter.

Can I travel from Missouri to Chicago with a hand gun in my car? -

I travel on vacation to Chicago 2 or 3 times a year I am in the Military and I want to know if I can travel with my handgun in the car? and how or where can I place the weapon if legally possible

No. You could travel through Chicago with it unloaded and locked in the trunk, but if Chicago is your destination point and you are not a law enforcement officer, even that manner of transport is illegal. It is a ridiculous local law which perpetuates a very high crime rate.

Better have it cased and in the trunk. Bring proof of ownership, your FOID card, and an order from your commanding officer requiring you to be armed. It really bothers me that you will have it in the city of Chicago, where handguns are banned. (Only criminals seem to be allowed to have gun.)

If it is broken down and in your trunk, if you are stopped and it is in your cabin and not broken down it s a felony - welcome to Chicago.

As long as you have it in the trunk of your car, it is legal, if you can legally own a firearm.

London vs New York........which one and why? -

Which of these two cities do you prefer? What made you choose one over the other?

NEW YORKI hate London, I lived there for 9 years and it s a really dark, depressing country. The people are rude and dangerous, even though NY is quite dangerous too. The houses are cramped together and the color scheme of the whole country is BLACK and GREY. YUCK! New York is a good place, everyone kinda knows eachother, I mean like neighbourhoods. It s light and exciting and the weather is great! Winter is winter, and summer is summer, whereas in London you can t predict the weather ever!

New york its so much bigger and better so much stuff to explore and see and London nothing good to see or explore so new york wins hands down for me luckily i don t have to move to nyc i already live here.

London! Hands down, My family and I can stay at one of my Husband s friend s house, outside of London. I never been there, I went to New York, and had a lot of fun.
