Best spa at Disney World? -

Which WDW spa is the best?- Grand Floridian spa- Saratoga Springs spa- Mandara spa at the DolphinHave you experienced any of these personally? Heard anything about them, good or bad? I ll take any info you have. Thank you!

Well, I ve been to Disney s Grand Floridian Spa twice, and I absolutely LOVED it... both times! If you re looking to do a couple s massage, I would definitely recommend Disney s Grand Floridian Spa. I ve done the couple s massage there twice. The first time was in 2006 with my boyfriend (at the time). We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The second time was in 2008 for me and my husband s honeymoon. And again, we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It really was the most relaxing part of our vacation, and it s something I look forward to doing whenever I go back to Walt Disney World now!I m not really sure what silly is talking about. I was there just over a year ago, and I didn t notice any parts in need of renovation, and I found it to be very luxurious. The staff was wonderful. They were very friendly and they didn t even mention any of their products for sale. They certainly didn t push anything on us. The only product they mentioned was the oil they d be using.Anyway... first, they bring you to separate areas (men/women). They give you a locker to put all your belongings in, a robe, and a pair of sandals (they kind of reminded me of those Adidas brand sandals with massaging soles - very comfortable). They have relaxing waiting rooms with quiet music, dim lighting, beverages and snacks. They have large shower stalls to use before you get your massage and a room with a big hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Finally, they bring you to your room. They leave the room for a moment so you can remove your robe and get under the sheet. There s relaxing music playing in the massage room as well, of course. Then they draw back a curtain, revealing your partner next to you. So, it s actually two rooms that convert into one for couple s massages. And before they start they ask if there s any areas that are especially sore or in need of more attention.I really would recommend Disney s Grand Floridian Spa. We loved the couple s massage and will most definitely be doing it again in the future. They can also set up a special cabana near the pool at Disney s Grand Floridian Resort, but that costs extra.I would imagine the Spa at Disney s Saratoga Springs would be similar and just as nice, but I can t say for sure because I ve not yet been there. I haven t been to the Mandara Spa either. It looks really, really nice, but it s not owned or operated by the Walt Disney Company, so if you re looking for the Disney Experience, you may not find it there. You might want to check out allears.net They have a great review section. It s definitely the best website for planning a Walt Disney World vacation.Hope I could help! Have a magical time! ooo

Not many people know this because the Saratoga Springs resort and spa is fairly new, but it is way better than both the Grand Floridian and the Mandara. And here is why:-although the Grand Floridian is the most talked up, it is the worst because some parts of it are old and need renovation. They also pressure you to buy all of the products that they used on you. The Unofficial guide to WDW says that of all the spas the Grand Floridian is the most overpriced and the least luxurious.-the mandara has limited facilities and is small, it also has a co-ed waiting room, which weirds me out, cause I don t know about you but I don t like to be naked under a robe in a room with strange men in it. don t believe the hype about the Grand Floridian!

I haven t been to any spa (I m too young)BUT, I have heard that both the Grand Floridian and Dolphin s spas are great. It really depends on your price rang and what you like. All I can really do is give you the sites with info s and you can Choice for yourself.Dolphin: http://www.swandolphin.com/activities/spGrand Floridian: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/spa/graGood Luck, and HAVE FUN.

Grand Floridian --- this is the best of the best at Disney World. It s where celebrities go when they visit Disney. Best return rate vs. the other spas.

Sights to see driving across the US? -

I m planning a roadtrip from the Detroit area, to California. I wanted to go through the Northern states on the way there; I have a friend in Montana I want to stay one night with. On the way home, I want to drive through the south, stopping to visit friends in Arizona and in Arkansas.Since I m driving across the whole country, I want to see as many awesome sights as possible in between each friend I visit! Any cool ideas, I have no idea what s on the way; or what s worth going OUT of my way!It will be in the summer, and we will have several drivers. I plan on having to stay in hotels when I m not visiting friends. I just don t know where to go!

How long is it to washington dc from new jersey by train? -

It s about 3 - 3.5 hours.

Where did Detroit go? -

There is no there there. Lots of empty spaces between houses. Burned out buildings.

Oakland and Macomb Counties.

Let s see. In 1967, there were almost 2 million people in the city. Nowadays, even counting every homeless person under every bridge, there aren t even 1 million people there. And those who are left are, mostly, people who don t have the means to go anyplace else. Who s been in charge there, especially since 1973?

I don t know if this is a joke but DETROIT is still moving forward even with all the bad PRESS thing are still moving in this CITY we are being attack from every out side group you can think of but we will MAKE IT.

China... over seas...

a lot of Michigan s businesses moved to Mexico

You didn t see the sign posted back in the 1970 s? Last person out of Detroit, please turn out the lights!

I am Moving to San Mateo? -

Is there any important things I should know about living in the area?

There are lots of fun things to see and do in San Mateo. Coyote Point is near the furthest northeast portion of the city. You can see the boats parked along the docks. have a picnic, play some golf, hike the trails, play on the beach, visit the museum, etc. Bring a jacket though, it s very windy. At the southeastern most portion you have the San Mateo Bridge and Bridgepoint Shopping Center. One of the advantages of living in San Mateo is it s accessibility to other cities in the Bay Area: 30 mins to San Jose, San Fran, Alameda, Half Moon Bay (the ocean), Mountain View/Sunnyvale (Silicon Valley). At the northwestern point you have an exclusive residential area with expensive housing located on a hillside. At the southwestern point you have an area close to Hwy 92 which is close to one of the most popular hiking destinations in the Bay Area: the Sawyer Camp Trail. Sawyer Camp Trail is a beautiful 6 mile stretch well maintained but still wild. On any given day you can see deer, raccoons, bunny rabbits, and the once in a while cougar, although they are really rare. The trail has restroom stops at the beginning, middle, and end, and features picnic tables and benches to rest at. It is accessible by walking, biking, or rollerblading. Crime is pretty low in San Mateo although there are some rough spots here and there. As far as schools go: They have College of San Mateo, Hillsdale High School, Aragon High Schoool, Parkside School (elementary school) and others that I cannot remember at this time.My favorite places to shop and eat in San Mateo? Piazza s by Hillsdale Blvd exit from Hwy 92. Their Portobello mushroom sandwich is just outstanding as is their other vegetarian sandwiches, expensive though. Heidi Pies on El Camino near Hwy 92 is also very popular, they make pies and sandwiches. They have one major shopping center: Hillsdale Shopping Center at El Camino and Hillsdale Blvd. Generally speaking, neighborhoods closer to the Bay get seedier the closer you get to the water. The higher uphill you get (towards the west) the nicer the homes and neighborhoods get. You want to be on the west side of El Camino, not the east.Downtown San Mateo near El Camino and 3rd Ave is once again a great place to hang out and catch a movie, grab some food, or shop.

I could list all of the many, many advantages of living in San Mateo. I could list all of the wonderful places to go within a short drive of San Mateo. But that would be too long an answer. Explore and discover them on your own. As far as anything to warn you about, I can t think of a single thing, except that housing is rather expensive there. But you get what you pay for. The only thing I would want to tell you is how lucky you are, and how jealous I am of you, you lucky guy! I use to live in San Mateo and loved it. Now I live in Illinois, and hate it. Enjoy yourself. Don t take a single day for granted.

Its a little cooler as far as the weather goes than living, say in Oakland or Hayward area. Not a Cosmopolitan area just a nice quiet bedroom community with a great police force.

You must own a car - it s easier than taking all day to go to one doctor s appointment, etc. via public transportation.

Its boring!

Where are you moving from?

Loyala Chicago a difficult school to get into? -

What are the requirements?

it s not exactly a cake walk. After Northwestern and U Chicago, it s the 3rd toughest private city university to get in to(IIT is in the same ballpark if you are going the engineering route)the average high school gpa is about 3.5-3.6the 25-75 split on ACT scores in 24-29I got in with a 3.52 gpa and a 26 ACT score

Go to www.collegeboard.comType in Loyola in the search bar, and it ll give you a profile of the school. It will tell you the average GPA of students accepted.

If you go to the web site you will in all likelihood find a rather large and detailed sections concerning admissions.

The first requirement is to spell the university correctly.

go collegeboard.com and itll have a profile of loyola with all the stats

Flordia Driving from New Jersey? -

I am going to Flordia in Feb. just on the dot of superbowl weekend in Tampa Bay. Now What im wondering is would it be worth it if I drove all the way down to Flordia from New Jersey or flew down. A flight I can spend 100-200 for a layover and 300-400 more if i do not want the layover. Now if I drive it would be 1077.01miles from my house to Tampa Bay city exactly. 16 hrs 56 mins Without out traffic but we all know thats not gone happen since 95. I probably need a car experct how much gas would be and everything I got a 2006 Chevy Malibu. Or some advice if I should fly or drive.

Check flights from Philadelphia or Allentown instead of Newark. They tend to be less. Drove to St. Petersburg last month. I spent $100 in gas and $45 for a motel each way (although since I drove, I didn t have to rent a car). Only reason I drove is because I was picking up stuff there to bring back to Delaware. Otherwise, I definitely would have flown. The drive is long and boring. Also there is no city called Tampa Bay. It s a body of water.

1100 miles @ 25 miles per gallon is 44 gal. of gas. @ $2.50 = $110,each way $220 round trip plus driving around in Fla. + Tolls both way. You can figure it out from there to get a rough idea. I just guessed on the MPGIf you re going alone , it s cheaper to drive. Remember if you fly. you ll need a rental car in Fla.
