Flordia Driving from New Jersey? -

I am going to Flordia in Feb. just on the dot of superbowl weekend in Tampa Bay. Now What im wondering is would it be worth it if I drove all the way down to Flordia from New Jersey or flew down. A flight I can spend 100-200 for a layover and 300-400 more if i do not want the layover. Now if I drive it would be 1077.01miles from my house to Tampa Bay city exactly. 16 hrs 56 mins Without out traffic but we all know thats not gone happen since 95. I probably need a car experct how much gas would be and everything I got a 2006 Chevy Malibu. Or some advice if I should fly or drive.

Check flights from Philadelphia or Allentown instead of Newark. They tend to be less. Drove to St. Petersburg last month. I spent $100 in gas and $45 for a motel each way (although since I drove, I didn t have to rent a car). Only reason I drove is because I was picking up stuff there to bring back to Delaware. Otherwise, I definitely would have flown. The drive is long and boring. Also there is no city called Tampa Bay. It s a body of water.

1100 miles @ 25 miles per gallon is 44 gal. of gas. @ $2.50 = $110,each way $220 round trip plus driving around in Fla. + Tolls both way. You can figure it out from there to get a rough idea. I just guessed on the MPGIf you re going alone , it s cheaper to drive. Remember if you fly. you ll need a rental car in Fla.
