Any nice family hotels near east wacker drive in chicago? -

any additional activities we could do in that area? we wanted stay in a waterslide resort near six flags, but its pretty far away. any ideas. we know nothing abt chicago!!

Key Lime Cove is the only water park/resort in the area. It is indoor and open all year. There are kid s activities at Navy Pier and more at Millenium Park including ice skating in the Winter:http://www.navypier.com/http://www.millenniumpark.org/parkeventsThe Hyatt Regency on east Wacker is kid friendly. It s located close to the free trolley to Navy Pier that runs on Illinois and Grand Ave and about 4 blocks from Millenium Park:http://chicagoregency.hyatt.com/hyatt/ho

I definitely recommend Hotel 71, which is right at Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue. It has a fitness center and offers shuttle service. The rooms are also generously sized, perfect for families.

What are the best beaches in Florida? -

We live in Atlanta GA. We want to go over Thanksgiving (for like 2 days) to a beach in florida. we don t care about cool shells, or anything like that. we just want nice, white, pretty sand. i know during thanksgiving beaches are always crowded, but what are a few that might be less populated?

sandy sunny ones

Caladesi Island has a clean, safe, uncrowded beach and is located just north of Clearwater Beach. You can get a hotel in Clearwater and the beach isn t that far of a drive. You can t drive your car on Caladesi Island, instead you take a ferry boat to get there. It has been voted the number one beach in Florida, and I agree, it s the best. In addition, Cape San Blas Beach in the Florida panhandle has a good uncrowded beach. It s a pretty white sand beach and is very large. Here are some links for more information:http://www.thecapeescape.com/AboutCapeSahttp://www.beachhunter.net/caladesi.htm

Beaches I would look into...Seacrest BeachPerdido Bay, FLThese beaches are very nice and pretty with plenty of white sand. Also, they will be less populated. Perdido Bay, FL is almost on the Alabama line and actually the beach extends into Alabama. Seacrest is very nice and is actually not that crowded during the summer months. Seacrest is about 30 minutes from Panama City Beach. Seacrest can be on the more expensive side.

Where do they keep the horses in NYC that the cops ride around on? -

Where do they keep the horses in NYC that the cops ride around on? Do they haul them in and out of the city every morning and every night from like NJ or somewhere? When do they eat and where? Are there stalls for them at the police station or something? This is a serious question, I really am curious. : )

The Mounted Unit has stables in a few locations within the city. Unit headquarters and the stable for Troop B are at the newest facility located at Pier 76, roughly at 36th street on the West Side of Manhattan. The city s press release announcing the opening of that facility in 2007 is here:http://nyc.gov/portal/site/nycgov/menuitOther Mounted Unit troops are stationed at Pelham Bay Park, Fresh Meadows, Coney Island, and at the 1st Precinct in Lower Manhattan.

Can you use a credit card to pay for cab fare? -

This might be a stupid question. I ve never ridden in a cab before, and I was wondering it they took credit cards. I don t carry a lot of cash on me and I know a lot of people who are the same. I d like to know in case I get stranded somewhere and have to call a cab.

It depends, in some big cities like New York, Las Vegas yes, in most smaller cities no.

Always carry enough cash with you for a cab ride if you think you might need to get a ride. Most cabs do not accept credit cards, though the some in big cities with lots of tourists do.
