Most bars in the US don t even carry the stations that soccer would be shown on. And if it was available, most of the other patrons would tell you they don t want to watch it.There are bars where people from the UK congregate and they usually have the stations where you could watch soccer.
If the other patrons in the bar are watching a game on the TV (one TV) your request to switch won t be well received. Note that it would be the same if you wanted to watch a different American football game (not about you wanting to watch European football). However, most places and all cities have numerous sports bars with multiple TVs and asking the staff to set one of them to the game you want is the whole reason for having multiple sets.
Put the shoe on the other foot.Americans walk into a pub full of Brits and ask them to put a baseball game on tv instead of the soccer the locals are watching and follow. I think a polite refusal might be the response. There d have to be a lot of you, spending a lot of money. If you can find a channel with soccer on, watch it in your hotel room.
soccer in the uk is like nfl football in the usa. i dont think the others should object, i think the bar should get more tvs so that they can all watch diffrent sports. if they only keep it on one sport, the people who want to watch soccer are going to leave and the bar is going to lose money/customers.
soccer or football in britian is like the nfl of america its part of british life so yh i wont object but have a poll to se who wants to watch what sport then put it on
Unless it is a special expats bar or similar I think you will see baseball or American football being shown . Don t think your request would be kindly received ,,
