Is Chicago dangerous at night? -

I m going to be visiting Chicago next week and will be staying downtown near rush street, is it dangerous to walk around at night? is it possible to walk around Chicago till late at night?

around rush street you could be walking around at 3 o clock in the morning without a worry, Chicago, like every other big city in the world, has good parts and it has bad parts. To make a long story short, the west side and the south side are the parts of chicago you need to avoid if you don t know the city too well. Thesouth side is, well the south side (everything south of downtown) its easy to tell if something s on the south side because the adress will say south ex. 6721 S State St., also almost every east-west street on the south side is numbered, so that adress i just gave would be near 67th street, 67th and state street (you don t want to go there). The west side is basically the section of the city that s south of North avenue, west of western and north of the Eisenhower expressway, Logan Square is also a neighborhood to avoid if your new to the city. Also like every big city, you should watch your back and stay near people and lights because you can still get mugged in safe neighborhoods. Also this is the season for pickpockets, but don t get freaked out, Chicago s safe if you don t go in the wrong places at the wrong times.

Not where you are staying, you will be fine, there are alway people out and about in that area. I used to stay late after work go out for drinks, and such, with friends and then head home around 2 by myself..., (my work was right on rush by a couple hotels) so i m assuming thats where you will be, and of course i ll tell you that the bums are everywhere...but really they are harmless..don t worry about it.

It depends where in Chicago. Most U.S. cities can be dangerous if you go into the wrong areas. If you do a search for bad areas in Chicago you ll find numerous blogs telling people which areas are safe and not safe.

that is a great area so it should not be a problem. . I am always out during the night in Chicago and I have never once had an issue. and I am not always in the best area s at those times either.

You would have to walk a long way to go into a dangerous neighborhood from the area you are in. No worries.

Reserving a room for someone under 21 in Las Vegas? -

I m 18 years old and I am planning a trip to Las Vegas and was wondering if my parent who is not going with us could reserve the room.

Most of the hotels I know about require at least one person to be 21 or older.Be sure to find out before you head to Vegas. It would really not be any fun to get to Las Vegas only to be told that they won t let you stay there.Your best bet (hee-hee) would be to try a hotel that does not have a casino. The Casino Hotels really want to have gamblers in their rooms. The non-casino hotels need to make money by renting rooms.

You can book your trip here at FAIRFIELD INN BY MARRIOTT LAS VEGAS . Nice one and will suit you according to your budget .And the nice online portal through which you can book your room is through Hotels2stay.net -offering cheap , discount hotels bookings upto 50 %off ths christmas vacation .Hope it suits you too http://www.hotels2stay.net/las-vegas-hot

Not sure why you asked this twice....But yes, your parent can reserve a room for you. It will have to be reserved in your name if you are the person checking in. And it will have to be at one of the few hotels in Vegas that allow you to check in under 21. They will ask for ID at the check-in desk. You will also need to have a credit card for deposit, or cash if your hotel accepts that as the deposit.

Yes! Your mom can call to reserve the room. But Vegas is very strict about anyone under 21 being in the casino or bar area. Why don t you wait 3 years? Then you can enjoy Vegas show your ID w/pride! I know that society s rules are strange? You are of age at 18...But not for everything!

Going to a concert in Chicago, is it a dangerous area? -

I m hopefully heading to a concert at the House of Blues, but I am totally unfamiliar with Chicago and I m a bit nervous of being there at night. Is there anything to worry about in this particular area (Dearborn Street)?

It s in a great neighborhood.

It s not in a particularly bad area.

You have nothing to worry about. Its in a good area.

Are there any events going on in Denver for Thanksgiving? A parade?? A Fair? -

Please let me know if you know of anything, I m off work for once!-SF

I don t know of any parades, but if you want to do something special, head over to Epworth Foundation or the Salvation Army and help deliver food to a hungry family. http://intermountain.salvationarmy.org/ http://www.epworthfoundation.org/thanksg
