What is it like in Arizona? -
Where is a good place to live in PA? -
I grew up in Lancaster. Here s some links:http://www.cityoflancasterpa.com/lancasthttp://www.co.lancaster.pa.us/lanco/sitehttp://www.padutchcountry.com/http://www.centralmarketlancaster.com/We re also close to Hershey:http://www.hersheypa.com/and Strasburg:http://www.strasburgpa.com/If some of this looks familiar, you might want to rent the movie, Witness, with Harrison Ford, it was filmed in Lancaster county.
I would take a look at south central PA. I am from Carlisle which is located in cumberland county. It is about 3.5 hrs from NYC 2.5 hrs from baltimore and DC. 3 hrs from philly and 4 hrs to Pittsburgh. It is only 35 min from harrisburg the state capital. There are tons of things to do in the area and you are close enough to several cities that you can take day trips. As for raising a family the school districts in the county are rated very well, the sports are the best in the state year in and year out, and we have very minimal violence. Good luck!
I live in Doylestown, and I would tell anybody to live their if they had a chance. It s such a nice community. Really take this in to mind, it s great for family. I live here with my family. It s not very secluded, and Carversville is very very nice. And they have many good school districts. Ask anybody i bet they will say they love it to.
What type of animals live in destin florida? -
You ll see sea turtles, dolphins, sharks, stingrays, and jellyfish. You don t have to worry much about the sharks because they aren t out there often and don t attack many people.
Will i get searched taking a train from san diego to san fransico? -
I just did a 4000 mile AMTRAK trip in October and no one searches anything. By the way, to get from San Diego to SF you will change trains in LA
For obvious reasons, your carry on bags may be searched. Call AMTRACK and ask them if your stuff is allowed. If not send it home Via UPS or FED EX, the USPS. No chance of hastles or watching your stuff.
Amtrak does not search you or your bags.
No
How long Does it Take to get from Santa Barbara to Victorville? -
It depends on your route, time of day, and traffic. Most direct route is 101 east, staying straight even when the numbers change to 134, then 210. Take the 210 to 15 north, which goes to Victorville. It s 173 miles, which would take about 3 hours with no traffic. But traffic on the 101 (in the SF Valley) or 134/210 (Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena) can be very bad, depending on the time of day.Allow at least an hour for traffic unless you are going early morning or late at night, so figure 4 hours, give or take.
If you drive it would take about 2hrs and 45min - 3hrs and 20 min
how by car by boat ? by bus by airplane?you dont say so we can answer sorry!
I need trip ideas for under $1000 dollars! We live in Oregon and we want to get away for 5 days!? -
Do not go to Disneyland when you are pregnant. You ll spend most of your day standing in line.Try South Lake Tahoe. It s Vegas with clean air and no sleeze.http://www.bluelaketahoe.com/The Sunday brunch at Harrah s Forest Buffet is one of the best I ve every been to. Made famous by the TV show Bonanza, it was the center of the Comstock Lode, the biggest silver strike in history. They have an old steam locomotive mining railroad you can ride and you can tour the actual mines. The city looks like it did in the late 1800 s, complete with wooden sidewalks, saloons, gambling halls, and boot hill.http://www.virginiacity-nv.org/info.aspx
Day trip to Disney world? -
Take option 2, at the end of the day in the park you ll be exhausted.
I honestly find it better to stay the night after going to the park. Reason being you get tired after walking around all day and a drive home may end in disaster if you are exhausted. I will let you know that it will be bust that time of year and you may want to plan what you really want to see and go from there. I live 2 hours from Disney and go a couple times a year.
i think that you can not get all of the park in 1 day with comin in the middle day or leavin early but if you have to i think you should do the 2 because after you have walked all over the park you will want sleep i also think you should plan on what you want to see and ride that way you get in all you want and your sister and cousin hope you have fun!
Get up early and drive and go to DW - middle of the day go and check in to your hotel - take a short nap or just relax - then go back to the park. If you don t stay late at the park you don t get to see the fireworks etc. Then go back to hotel sleep and go home the next day.
One day is never enough but if it is all you have I would go to the Magic Kingdom. Have fun.
Question for Bryan, TX or College Station, TX residents!!? -
Bryan/College Station is full of apartments, townhouses, condos and duplexes, plus small rental houses because it is the home of a huge university. You can find things in every price range, but be careful if you rent sight unseen. There might be a brand new beautiful complex next door to a complex that has been there for 30 years and could be run down. I ve listed a few below that are nice, but you are going to have to listen to college students and their noise anywhere you go. You might consider a townhouse or condo that is mostly full of students whose parents own the condos. Another option is a duplex where you only have a common wall on one side. That tends to cut down the noise quiet a bit. Im going to NEW YORK CITY! Please help!? -
The Statue of Liberty is the most common attraction site you could go to. Central Park is another (a park in the heart of Manhattan. It s beautiful). The places in Chinatown are great (that is also near Manhattan, I believe. It will be very crowded there. When driving, be extremely careful and cautious of how you re driving. You could easily get a ticket or hurt someone. Keep that in mind. Or you could take the subway. That works too. Also, bring a lot of money. Many stuff in New York are very expensive. The price ranges though.Hope I was of some help!
Many people think going to NYC is all about what all you can do in the amount of time that you re there. If you re only going for 2 days I wouldn t really suggest all the crazy tourist stuff. I hated going out to the Statue of Liberty. It looks just the same up close as it does from far away. Top of the Rock is very cool. Broadway plays are amazing but you re on a short time frame. I saw Wicked and it was awesome. My favorite thing to do in NYC was people watch. There is such a wide variety of people that it is amazing. I sat in the Fridays in Times Square for probably two hours one day just watching people walk by. Another favorite is shopping on 5th Avenue. If you like the Home Alone m
Omg yr soo lucky. ok you should go to manhatten; and EAT AT FAMOUS DAVES BBQ. it s amazing. And you show go to the wax museum. It s about $25 bucks but it s ssoooo worthh it! Ilove NYC YOUR GONNA HAVE THE TIME OF YR LIFE! BRING YOUR CAMERA, MONEY YOUR FRIENDS/fam. And have fun! P.S. GO 2 FAMOUS DAVES BBQ, AND MADAM TUSANS WAX MUSEUM!
I live in a NYC suburb and i always like to go to TIMES SQUARESOHO5TH AVE.CENTRAL PARKmuseums .. (Natural History Metropolitan mostly)
where will you sleep?
Reserving a room in Las Vegas? -
It depends. They can reserve a room and put it in your name. But most hotels in Vegas require that you be 21 to check in, and they will ask to see ID at the desk. So they would also have to make sure they reserved a hotel where you would be allowed to stay (on the strip, MGM, Luxor, and Riviera are the only ones that allow 18+; I believe Golden Nugget allows it downtown, and then the LV Hilton is another option - that s about it). Also, hotels require some sort of deposit when you check in. Some will allow you to make a cash deposit, which is used to cover room damage and also incidentals, but many require that a credit card be presented at check-in for that.
You will also need a credit card to check into the room with. Even if the room is paid for, a cc is required to check in.Your best bet is to call the hotel you are interested in booking with and ask them directly.I completely agree that there is nothing to do in Las Vegas when under the age of 21. I would recommend South Padre, or another spring break type destination.
I m honestly not even sure why you d want to go to Vegas under 21. There s really no point, as you will quickly learn. Some hotels have a minimum age of 18. You need to find one of these, as they will ask you for ID upon checking in. The person whose name is on the room reservation needs to be there.
She can and it REALLY comes down to the hotel policy and rules, when you check you you do need to have some type of credit card on file to cover unexpected room charges or damages. Not saying that your going to tear up the room but thats what they require.
Can you stay a night in Cinderellas Castle for a fee? -
The Cinderella Suite is used for families that have been randomly selected from the crowds at Disney. There isn t anything you can do to up your chances of being chosen except to be in the right place at the right time. It was originally opened as part of the 2007/2008 promotion. The Cinderella Suite is also rented out to charities/foundations. My boss 5 yr old niece s family was selected to stay in the Cinderella Suite for 1 week as part of the Make a Wish Foundation. So, as of right now, no, you can not rent the Cinderella Suite. I imagine that Disney will probably make it an option some day but the price tag will be hefty and it will book quickly.Edit: MarketingRox - I can guarantee that if they were ever to open the Cinderella Suite for general reservations it would cost significantly more than $500. The cheapest Polynesian room ranges from $365-$610 a night depending on the season. The Cinderella Suite is much larger, features more than just 1 room, and is in the middle of the Magic Kingdom. Just for a general idea... the Polynesian averages $1.19 per square foot (409 sq ft). The Cinderella Suite is 650 sq ft. Take that by the average of the Polynesian and it would be about $773.50. And that is NOT factoring in the location and prestige of being in the 3 room Cinderella Suite.
the cinderella castle suite was created as a prize in the 2007-2008 years of a million dreams promotion. each day a family was chosen at random to stay for one night in the suite. cast members still do chose families at random to stay in the suite even though the promotion is over.there is no price tag on the suite and it cannot be rented out. the only way to stay the night there is to be chosen.
Absolutely not. My father wanted to surprise my mother and spoke with about 10 different cast members offering around $500 for one night and they said that they absolutely can not. It would start too much trouble with people thinking they can pay to get in - it is strictly for award only. AND, that includes tours as well.
I saw a commercial about this. You have to enter a contest, or something, sorry Im a bit hazy about it!And if you win the contest you get a free stay for one night in the cinderella castlee.(:
You have to be chosen. I ve gotten to see the suite before though, its really nice. I would have loved to spend the night there!
No.
The Persian/ Arminian Las Vegas Concert.? -
Of course you can dance to the folk/pop music concert...btw it is ArmEnian (not armimian)
San Fernando Valley to Victorville, CA? -
You are on the right track. There are two main ways to get to Victorville and it is somewhat dependent upon where you live in the SFV. You could take CA-14 to the Sierra/Pearblossom Highway known as CA-138 and then onto CA-18 (AKA Palmdale Road) and that takes you right into Victorville. Most people nowadays no longer take the I-10 Freeway, but they get onto the I-210 Freeway and that now takes you to the I-15 and just over the El Cajon Pass is Victorville. This is the new front way to Victorville.
Once on 14, take exit 30 for Angeles Forest Hwy toward Pearblossom Hwy.Keep left at the fork to continue toward Sierra Hwy and merge onto Sierra Hwy. Continue 4 miles onto Pearblossom Hwy (138). Turn left at CA-18 E/Pearblossom Hwy. Continue to follow CA-18 E all the way to 15.
