New york penn station question!? -

How do i go about going to Linden NJ?I LIVE IN Brooklyn,NY and i went to penn station today and it was really big and confusing. And i saw some machines that sell tickets but those require credit cards. Then i saw booths with a line that people were lining up for buying tickets and i guess thats where you buy them from?So when i go to penn station, do i just go on that line and ask them for a ticket to linden,nj?And where will i have to go afterwards, i dont understand this.i CHECKED NJ transit.com and they have something called RAIL and LIGHT RAIL.Which one do i have to take? Someone help me?

There are three railroads that use Penn Station -- NJ Transit, Long Island Railroad and Amtrak. Make sure you are in the New Jersey Transit area and ticket booths. You can ask the ticket seller what track the train leaves on. They also have TV screens and a big board that give departure times and track numbers. These will identify the train by its final destination and departure time, which most probably is NOT Linden, probably Trenton or Rahway. Make sure you know the departure time of your train. See scheldule here: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/rail/r0070.Your train is Rail not light rail. Also, the ticket machines DO take cash.

When you go to the NJ Transit Concourse at Penn Station you can either stand on line and purchase you ticket, or purchase them at the ticket machine. If you re purchasing you ticket from the ticket window, just let the sale person where your going.By the way the one way fare from NYC to Linden, NJ will cost you $6.50 ($13 round trip).Good luck

When you get to Penn Station, follow the signs to NJ Transit (your best bet would be the entrance that is right in front of MSG s entrance, the one that s in front of the Border s. All the hobos are hanging out at the newstands to the left and the right of that Penn entrance; the taxi line is there too). If you go to the machines, you need a credit/debit cards. If you go on the line, the accept cash, credit, and debit. You want a roundtrip ticket; off-peak, if possible, but be wary; you have to pay extra if you buy an off-peak round trip ticket (it ll say ORT on the ticket) and ride during rush hours. You can pick up a schedule for the Northeast Corridor line (the abbreviation on the electronic board that tells you which track to get on is NEC; the destination of the train is Trenton). That line is the line you need to get to Linden. You ll need a local train; the express trains bypass a lot of stations to Trenton. Make sure you re on a local train that s heading to Trenton. You CAN buy a ticket on the train, but it costs, I think, $3 dollars extra. I ve never been to the Linden station, so you re on your own for that. Good luck!

What is the best city in US to live? -

i prefer one with good weather

haha seattle rains if you like rainy weather. NYC is polluted and not really good weather unless you travel outside that huge city. I live in Clearwater Florida and it has decent sunny weather but it s really humid and warm. Even today December 13 (winter) it is 80 F (26 C)!!!California is amazing!! south can be warm and north is cooler. There s desert in south and snowy mountains in winter up north. I say California. North has great weather. I went to Big Sur and Monterrey. Clear, cool, but still sunny. Rainy sometimes: http://www.sfbayimages.com/new_images/40sunny: http://fineartamerica.com/images-medium/ Monterey Bay (aquarium) http://fineartamerica.com/images-medium/Big Sur http://mongabay.org/images/big_sur/big_sBasically North California is cooler, cool blue water more relaxed and better for hikes, fishing, bike riding and relaxing in mountain-like areasSouthern is warmer and relaxing on the beach. Both north and south are good for surfing :DSoooo if you want to be more secluded: Big Surclose to cities: Montereyin a city: San Fransisco; really cool japanese gardesn, Chinatown, art galleries, shops Hope you find this useful

San Francisco, LA, or San Diego. Miami and Houston are other options. If you don t mind cold weather I suggest Chicago, Denver or Boston.

san deigo, has amazing weather it s just a beautiful place to be =) the beaches there are killer.

San Diego, seatle, Probably more of the west side. Somewhere in Wyoming be cause its very peaceful.

Phoenix has the best weather, always warm and sunny!

It all depends in how you live and adapt to your enviornment

well there are thousands of cities be easier if you said what state but i like madison in Wisconsin Great college town love it there haha and UWM most parties in all america haha

Seattle or New York City
