thanks.
Penn and Teller is the best thing that ever happened to Vegas- go see their show, it s amazing. There are also tons of other shows and if you go out walking during the day you can find people handing out discount vouchers. Also, go to the old Vegas strip Freemont Street. It s all the Vegas cliches in one place plus a giant overhead, tunnel-shaped TV screen that plays a show every hour. You can get deep fried cookies, $6 Prime Rib dinners, beer in a giant plastic cup that you have to drink with a crazy straw and see the best Prince Impersonator anywhere. Back near the big hotels, you can go shopping- there s even an actual mall, but all the hotels have shops and the shopping areas have the theme of the hotel--especially visit The Venetian Hotel to see the replica indoor Venice Italy complete with canals. There are art exhibits sometimes and other events going on in the hotels all the time. There is a wax museum, among other museums that range from kitsch to fine art. There are night clubs and lounges, coffee bars, strip clubs. Check out the Beatles Revolution Cafe/night club--it has this incredible interactive video wall.Visit the desert nearby if you have time.
Shows - there is a show for everyone in Vegas. Some good ones include the Cirque shows, Penn Teller, Lance Burton, Blue Man Group, Jersey Boys, Phantom....but there are many more.Shopping - there are high end shops at the Grand Canal Shops in Venetian and the Forum Shops at Caesars, a mix of high end and more typical mall stores at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, and a big typical mall near Treasure Island (Fashion Show Mall).Rides - there is a great roller coaster at NYNY and some crazy rides on top of StratosphereStratosphere - the restaurant at Stratosphere is a bit pricey, but pretty neat. It is at the top and it revolves. The view from the top is also amazing, and it s fun to watch people on the rides.Maddam Tussaud s Wax Museum at Venetian is really coolThere are clubs everywhere, and some fun bars too. Carnaval Court, Toby Keith s Bar Grille, and Piano Bar are worth checking out at Harrah s, and NYNY has Coyote Ugly and another piano bar.Check out the sights on the strip. All of the hotels have something unique about them, and I like wandering around and looking at everything.Free shows on the strip - Bellagio Fountains, Mirage volcanoes, Pirate show at Treasure IslandOther attractions include the Conservatory inside Bellagio, the lion exhibit at MGM, Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, and the Secret Garden Dolphin Habitat at Mirage.
Prospecting; horseback riding; off-road racing; sight-seeing; dining in world class restaurants; greatest shows in the business; all the great comedians, singers dancers; animal acts; like a circus every night. There is hiking and back-packing in the desert.Use you imagination. What do you want to do? You can find it in Vegas. You can bet on it.
