What is the leagal age for aminor to choose who to live with in Pennsylvainia.? -
If your dad is living, you probably won t be allowed to live with someone else unless there is violence or he gives permission.Otherwise, you have to wait until you get to be 18.
18 is the age of majority in Pennsylvania. In most counties, there is an office of child advocacy, where they foot the bill for an attorney for YOU, in issues like you are describing. Check on line or in the phone book
18 IS THE LEGAL AGE TO BECOME AN ADULT.21 IS THE LEGAL AGE TO DRINK BEER.BEVERLY J. BARBER1949 A.D.
Is Mobile, Alabama still run by Catholics? -
I m assuming all of Alabama has a great Catholic population. The television network EWTN is founded in Irondale, AL (just a few minutes away from Birmingham.)Gee, you make it sound like that s a bad thing.
Whats the best way to get around Philadelphia? -
Why would anyone want to go to South Street? It used to be cool but hasn t been for quite some time.In December, rent a car. No one wants to stand out in the cold and wait for a bus. Just know that you ll have to pay to park.Or consider Zipcar. Which is a car sharing service where you pay by the hour.
It depends on where you will be staying. If you do decide to stay in center city, public transportation would be your best option. There is also a service called Philly Car share, where you can a rent a car by the hour. It s good for quick trips here and there, in case you would like to see something a little out of the way while you are here. If you are staying outside of center city, like by the airport, consider the cost of parking a rental car in the city before you budget for that.
around south street it s better to just walk.. cause parking is a b.!tchother then that you can just drive.. since you don t know the area septa would be tricky for you... we re not like NY it s not difficult to drive around here like it is there. We also don t have cabs all around you usually gotta call for one and wait plus it cost money.. so really you should just walk if you can or drive.
Walk, take a cab or use public transportation. Don t rent a car. Traffic is nuts and parking is expensive. Don t walk around late at night.
train definitely or walking. take the train to somewhere close to were you are going then walk if possible if not take a taxi.
go by septa its inexpensive and you can go all over the city
stay on the plane and fly over would be the easiest way philly is crazy
What is the best way to get around san francisco? -
The cable car as a means of transportation is lost in antiquity. It s considered a tourist attraction and that s it.Cars are nice to have - but not necessary and much more expensive (not to mention a hassle if you re visiting tourist areas). The most logical solution would be Muni, which encompasses several bus and rail lines. There are no lines to wait in (it s not an amusement park ride - it s public transportation) - you simply wait at the stop for the next bus/train to come and, when it does, you get on. Simple - no long lines . Most, depending on time of day and how busy the route is, come every 5 to 20 minutes.Riding any bus/train within the Muni system is $2 which gets you a couple hours worth of riding (and unlimited transfers in that time for no additional cost) and the system covers the entire city with MANY different lines. The cable car, on the other hand, is $5 per one-way ride, only covers a small portion of the city, and is very slow (hence only a tourist attraction). The latter you ll be waiting in line for, the former you won t. Obvious choice. Here s the Muni website, complete with a plan a trip option: http://www.sfmta.com/cms/home/sfmta.phpAnd here s a map of the entire system: http://transit.511.org/static/providers/
The cable car is a tourist attraction - there is a very limited selection of routes, and there are often lines to get on a car. You should definitely ride the cable car once so that you can report to your friends that you did it, but unless you are going where it goes, it s not a very reliable means of transportation.Taxis are expensive. May be an option to get into the City from the airport, but not always easy to get a cab on the street if you are anywhere other than the downtown financial district.BART is the subway system. Reasonable way to get around, and a very effective way to get from San Fransisco over to the East Bay area (Oakland and Berkeley). SF Muni is a trolley system that is practical in the city.If you are going down the penninsula, you will need to look into Caltrain and the various light rail options.Frankly, when my wife and I go to San Francisco, we say in the South Bay area and rent a car. Driving in San Francisco is a bit intimidating, but not nearly as bad as New York or Boston. Parking is available (although sometimes pricey downtown). And a car gives you flexiblity that you wouldn t have relying on public transportation.
San Francisco is a great place for walking. Short blocks and many bars, coffee places restaurants in most neighborhoods. Traveling by Muni Bus is a good way to go - usually there is a bus within a block or 2 from just about every location in SF. Get a tourist map of the city - they are everywhere for free - at the airport or at hotels or tourist site. Past the advertising sections, there will be a good map of the major areas of the city. Also it will have info of current events attractions. i ususally pick one up when I get back to SF. Also BART will take you from SFO into SF - check at the SFO transportation counter for directions to the bus transfers. BART will also get you to Oakland airport.
If you are planning to see the usual places in The City, walking and city buses. Either cabs or parking is pricey. If you planning to go outside the city to places such as the wine country or Muir Woods, then rent a car. If you do rent a car, you can see more of the city such as the view from the top of Twin Peaks and the vewpoint at the Sausalito side of the GGB (and Sausalito of course, once you are there).
actually, surprisingly enough, with the recent MUNI fare hikes, BART withing the SF city limits (embarcadero to balboa park) is actually 25 cents CHEAPER than MUNI(only $1.75). it limits where you can travel, but is great if you are headed downtown or want to explore the underrated southern part of the city.
Between the MUNI trains and buses, you should have no problem getting around the city. SF is small. A car rental is not needed.
i would say a car if possible, but MUNI is fairly decent
going alone? adult? go on a tourist bus ive been on one forgot how much it cost for adults
Is Salinas CA a good city to live in? -
I would not recommend Salinas. The weather tends to be kind of cold and windy. Traffic on 101 can be a nightmare, especially on weekends with all the people headed to Monterey. Agriculture is the main industry, which means at certain times of the year neighborhoods can smell like vegetables or the chemicals applied to vegetables. Salinas also has the worst gang and crime problem of any city on the central coast. Drive-bys happen even in the nice neighborhoods. The schools are not very good and Northridge Mall is terrible. I m really having a hard time coming up with any positives. If you want to live on the central coast, obviously Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel, etc are the most posh. If you are on a budget, consider Seaside or Watsonville or head inland to Hollister or Gilroy. While those towns all certainly have dirty crime ridden areas, they also have nice neighborhoods that aren t overrun by gangs and lowlife.
Salinas isn t all bad. It has extremely moderate weather, like San Francisco, if you are into that sort of thing - chilly all year round. It is in a gorgeous rustic area, with some very nice neighborhoods in the surrounding hills. It is a good location for traveling to the Monterey Bay. And it must be relatively inexpensive to live there. But, life in Salinas is rough. You may have heard on the national news about high teen murder rates in Chicago. Salinas has about the same number of murders, but keep in mind this is a small town! The gang problem is pervasive throughout most of California, but in Salinas it is particularly bad. I forget the exact number, but something like 10% of the Salinas population is affiliated with a gang. Since it s a small town, the city really struggles to manage the crime with limited resources.I m not sure what exactly draws you to Salinas, but there surely must be better places to live. Prunedale and Aromas are nearby small towns, with a lower population density so probably less crime. Marina and Seaside are working-class coastal towns that are better than Salinas and more affordable than, say, Santa Cruz. Hollister and Gilroy aren t AS bad as Salinas but they have quite a bit of crime too.
Two letters, No, I used to live there nothing to do cold and it smells like crap and it is expensive

Should we try KSM in New York City? -
Well, I already answered a very similar question about this just a few days ago, but here s what I said then:I honestly think this is the best thing to do. Let New Yorkers try them, under the American system of Justice.
They got just what they wanted - the chance to make this a circus, a show, to taunt the American people. He didn t give those 3,000 innocent people a fair trial before deciding that they all deserved to die - he is an enemy combatant and a prisoner of war. Justice through the American military system of justice. That would be more of a fair trial than what he gave those 3,000 people.Sure enough, despite past admissions, they plan to plead not guilty for the sole purpose of drawing this thing out and spewing their hate.Shameful and sad. Our tax dollars will be shifted to make sure this guy gets food and security so he can laugh at all of us, all while taking military and police away from the task of keeping this city and this nation safe. Makes me sick.Wanna see a circus? Wait til a lone juror votes against the death penalty...I m not even going to get into an acquittal. Almost certainly won t happen, but stranger things have happened in this system. Oh well, it s the best there is, and let s have confidence they ll get this one right.
although many people feel as if this would bring closure to people, I think that it would open up old wounds and delay the healing process. A lot of people argue that he would not get a fair trial but, I feel no matter where he is tried, he will not/nor does he DESERVE a fair trial.
Can someone provide me a convenient way from flushing main street to polytechnic institute of NYU? Thank you!? -
