I arrive in MIA at 10am and I don t have to board the cruise until 2pm. What are things I can do in Miami before my cruise.
Well, you have some time to kill, but it s not like you have the whole day to go to South Beach or something, so I would suggest you spend a couple of hours at Bayside Marketplace, which is right by the entrance to the Port of Miami. This is an outdoor mall, right on the water s edge; plenty of shops, restaurants and often outdoor entertainment, depending on the time/day.Or, if you want to venture a little further (but still within easy distance to the Port) you could cab it to Coconut Grove...just stroll around the area; again some shopping, good restaurants, etc. A little less commercial than the stores at Bayside, and a little more unique. But a further distance away - but still do-able.Personally, I would just stick with Bayside; you won t have as much time as you think if you are just landing at 10:00 a.m. Miami is a busy, congested city to get around so you don t really have time to travel too much away from the Port.If push came to shove and you really wanted to see South Beach, you could cab it the extra distance (keeping in mind cab fare in Miami is very expensive) and check out Ocean Drive. You wouldn t have time to really do much but you could check out the neat art deco hotels and see the ocean at least. Just keep mindful of the time.
